Deal No Deal Pre-purchase

Recommended Posts

There is an option to pre-purchase Deal/No Deal tickets.  For my sailing there is an option for 1,2,3 or 4 tickets.   Does this 'play' 4 times during the cruise, or is it just done once per cruise?

One time during the cruise.

The set of tickets you purchase are for one session.  We have been on cruises where they have had 2 sessions.  If offered you could buy a set of cards for each session.

i bought 4 in my wife’s name.   We were able to choose the session we wanted to use the cards.   You cannot split the cards of a set between the sessions.  When you redeem the prepaid package you play all of them in that session.  There is a 2 hour window before the game to redeem or purchase cards.   The line gets very long.  You have to have the sea pass card that has the name of the person that the cards were purchased in. I found out the hard way.  Waited in line and was told that I needed my wife’s card.  Had leave and hunt down my wife as she was saving our seats.   Was told that I could just comeback to the front of the line.   Ended up  joining many others that had the same problem. It was like standing in line again.

Is Bingo fun/worth it?    Almost the same question.  Some like it some don’t.   If you win it is worth it.  If you lose it isn’t.  It is a fun as because it is an interactive type game even if you aren’t the contestant.

Everyone playing has a chance to win something instead of bingo where the winner takes all.  There are many opportunities to win something.   I won $5 in free casino play.   Played VP and hit  a win for $500

Sometimes people that aren’t chosen to be the contestant win more by matching the numbers on their cards.

We found it entertaining.  It is more entertaining if you are the one selected to play.  You have the chance to win a cruise.

Even if you are not selected to play you will likely win some casino cash to play later.

I plan to play for the first time.  In youtube videos of the show, the audience has fun but I think it's going to be very similar to how much you like playing and losing at bingo.Entertainment is the main value here.  I've never won anything at bingo on a cruise -  and with multiple cards I'll likely win something.  If you miss the show you can have the casino scan your card & it'll let you know what you won.

I think the winnings are given as play in casino. Unsure if it can be on table games or only slots, but you'll have to be lucky twice to actually get cash.

Do they do bingo too? Or just this?

They did bingo on our cruise last week. The jackpot was $500 casino credit. So basically, they give the winner a credit that they hope will be lost in the casino. No thanks. I remember the days when prizes were cash.

It's sounds like Royal Caribbean. I'm pretty sure you can just play a buck of the credit in a machine and then cash out for the rest in cash.

We did it on the Solstice. We won't do it again.... one of the few things we learned NOT to do. We had a marvelous time, just didn't feel like deal or no deal was worth our money and time.

Did you do the slot tournament?  Was it a better option if so?  It looks like the majority of people win nothing on their cards playing deal/no deal and even if they hit, it's only $5 or something on one of their cards so they still mostly have lost.

We won a free cruise one time.  We ended up using the certificate towards a cruise we already had booked.  $1000 off.

I played DOND just to use up OBC.  Had I known that I could have assigned the OBC to crew grats, I would have done that.
