Ducks!!!

Does anybody else feel like I do about these flaming ducks.  What is the point of hiding yellow plastic ducks around the ship for others to find.  What do they do with them.  Why is it fun?  I just don't get it at all.

I dont either, Maybe it is replacing the plastic PO are trying to save.

I can vaguely understand on the big ships with kids on board, but not on the adult only ships and I am reading on FB that people are hiding ducks on Arcadia.  I know what I will do if I find any!

I thought this was a young/American thing,my Wife found 3 on a recent Transatlantic with RCI,she had no idea why they were there but thought it was fun finding 'cute' things!😙😙

Sorry I think it's really good natured fun. We found one and left it for others to take home. Plenty worse things can happen on a ship and this isn't one of them surely.

We have stayed at Darwins Escape lodges a few times and we always brought home a plastic duck as a gift from the company.  This one is from Ilfracombe.  He now lives in Wales with his 3 friends from Cumbria !!!

They are a bit of harmless fun, especially for children, although it would be nice if they were not made from plastic. No one forces you to search for them.

Me too, they are great on pancakes with hoisin sauce and spring onion.

Same thing on adult only Virgin ships! I would not participate, and as for more plastic waste? I hope none end up in the ocean.

They are not all plastic - we’ve seen some knitted and crocheted! One lady makes items relevant to the ports of the cruise - sharks, apples, lighthouses, penguins, etc!

I am feeling upset and depressed because I have never, knowingly, seen one of these hidden ducks.

Mind you thats not surprising, my wife tells me I never see when anything is out of place!

Why? How does it impact on your cruise? Can I ask for no football to be shown in public rooms?
