Football on MSC?

On my US sailings last season, every NFL game was available on my stateroom TV. They just add a new channel to the channel line-up for each individual game. The games were also shown at various locations around the ship. On the Meraviglie that included Brass Anchor, the Casino Bar, and the big screen on the pool deck.

Yes, NFL is super important to me and it's something I loved about sailing MSC several times during the football season. My first time sailing this season will be over Halloween and I am counting on my Bills game being available on embarkation day!

Wow! I'm a big fan as well and will be on Seashore during December and knowing they have every game is huge.

I foresee a number of room service deliveries on Sunday on our B2B ..
Not sure I want to pass up dinner for football games this early in the season but drinks, sandwiches, pizza, etc.. in the room on Sunday afternoon - definitely doable..

I skipped lobster night in the MDR to watch a Bills game on the Meraviglia last October. I ended up watching the game in Brass Anchor and sat next to an awesome German couple who is obsessed with "American" football. They had season tickets to their local American Football team and the husband had played American Football in college. They were really fun to chat with.

Thanks JamieLogical.  The game I'm interested in is actually the Bills vs the Pats on 12/22.

If that's your embarkation day, the 1:00pm time could be problematic, since you may not have access to your room that early and muster drill might be happening.

I may end up finding my way to the Sports Bar on Seascape .. From the pictures I have seen, they could show multiple games simultaneously in there.   Will most likely depend on whose playing.

p.s.    Go Dallas Cowboys!!

I find this comment quite interesting, since Texas only became part of the US in 1845 as the 28th state. It was past the half-way point of our current 50 states and before that was its own nation, after becoming independent from Mexico. Most Texans I know are fiercely defensive about their independence, preferring the time that they were not part of the US. I know Texas is a huge state, so perhaps my limited amount of acquaintances are not representative of the state (oh, so many will hate that I call it a state LOL). Regardless, I have enjoyed many a Cowboys football game myself. 🙂

I was just in Disney last week and was very dissapointed to not be able to watch my Eagles on Friday night or the Sunday night game as they were both on streaming networks. Glad to hear MSC still puts all the games on. Note to self, book MSC during football season.

I am actually not 100% positive they provide the Thursday night games that only air on Prime in the US.  I was thinking about that last night as I was watching the Bills game on Prime at home.

We just got off the Seashore yesterday and watched MNF since it was on the ESPN Caribbean channel.  Seashore has ESPN 2 as well, but no major network coverages (NBC/CBS/Fox/ABC).  We were able to secure a spot in the sports bar which was PACKED!!!

The contracts the nfl signed with the streaming services has thrown a monkey wrench into things. I don’t think any lines will have games on streaming channels. Gonna make for a lot of unhappy fans. Maybe make some of the wives happy. Lol

Hey! I'm a wife and I will be very unhappy to miss any of my games! My husband only begrudgingly watches because I do.

I also grew up in a house where my mom was obsessed with football and my dad couldn't even be bothered to learn the basic rules of it. 😋

This makes me happy for my December cruise, we board on Saturday and my Eagles play Sunday afternoon, so that should be cool.  I always love watching sports on board, watched the Eagles win the NFC Championship game on embarkment day two years ago-made for a great start of the week, and watched some Phillies playoff baseball last year.  We were supposed to watch the Eagles\Packers game last Friday night on Princess (it was advertised as a pool side screen event and all) but they ended up not being able to get it, so a bunch of us sat at the pool bar and loungers with tablets and phones and watched it together for a bit.

I have been onboard cruise ships for three separate Super Bowls now. That is always fun!
