Brilliant! The GRT and IMO match, and that callsign posted a weather report from Torres Strait on 2 November.

 

I'm going to use that callsign for now unless / until I hear anything to the contrary.

Neil - How are you able to get weather reports from observing ships?

Are they in code or plain language.

 

Did the weather obs. for more years than I care to remember.

Nowadays it is done on a laptop with some inputs automatic but others observations still have to be done manually. Met office then upload.

 

Has anybody noticed that PD web cam has GMT 2 hours ahead?

 

Just a thought - but as there are so many Cheryls & Chezes on here - maybe the "One" from Port Macquarie should be know henceforth as AGENT 69.

Both the Pacific Dawn and Sun Princess are enroute to Sydney, but the Dawn's cam shows a bleak looking day and the Sun Princess's cam has it looking like a bright sunny day! Hope we don't have a dodgy cam on the Dawn!!

All the webcams I usually look at are also not functioniong this afternoon. Seems very sus to me, I wonder if P & O have something to do with it ?

Sun Princess is definitely live ... I saw raindrops on the lens a couple of minutes ago.

Looking at BOM site, there was another squall off Newcastle at that time. Wasn't sure at the time, but she is still at sea now so I think she may have been off Newcastle.

 

Yes, and Sun Princess Cam is still live. Still, another thing to be live in Sydney Harbour
