Where are all you first time cruisers cruising?

Just found out that I am going to help coordinate a group cruise in early February 06. Exciting, since this will be my first cruise -- but also starting to stress. This is a work-related trip, and I want (& need) things to go smoothly.

We will be cruising 7 nights on Silversea's Isles of Spice & Rum itinerary. The Silver Whisper goes from St Johns, Antigua to St Georges, St Lucia, St Kitts, San Juan PR, St Barts. From what I can tell, we are in for luxurious style!

Twenty couples coming from various points across North America...Now that I'm in charge of the trip preparations, I need to figure out how to get us all from our various home locations to St Johns. Ages for travellers on this trip may range from early 20s to early 70s.

My partner and I will be island hopping around Hawaii next July on the Pride of America. It's the first cruise for both of us, and are excited for the adventure.:)

Advice is always welcome on what to do or see while we're there. We'll be there for a week before as well, as I have a conference through Wednesday, and then cruising starting Saturday.

My sister, neice and family friend and myself will be sailing to Alaska on the Radiance in June. It will the first cruise for three of us. We booked it way in advance and have done some extensive research on Alaska and recevied some good tips here on the boards. June just seems so far away.

Wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving.

Lynn

I'm cruising for the first time with my parents on the 16-day holiday cruise to the Canary Islands aboard the QEII. We're very excited and hope the cruise will be all that we imagine. My father, a former merchant marine officer, is a little concerned about being bored on the ship, but from what I read there are plenty of diversions to keep us all occupied.

My husband and I are taking our children on a 3 day cruise 12/16/05 with RCI out of Long Beach with a stop afterwards in San Diego for 4 days. We can't wait and my daughter, 13yrs old, is so excited about the events on board. She's already planning her entire weekend...and no, not alot of it includes us! The kids are counting down the days until we leave...and so am I. Pampering and being catered to are exactly the vacation I need to rid myself of the pre-Christmas stress!

Cruising March 5th for two weeks on the Ryndham to southern Carib. Going alone and really looking forward to the relaxation of exploring so many excellent beaches. Not to mention the desserts onboard. I hear Holland America's ships are big on chocolate. The casino is another big draw. Going to bring empty bags to fill with cool stuff. Shopping and beaches, that's my thing.....

My husband and I are taking our first cruise on the Carnival Glory on May 13th, 2006. I am 22 and he will be 25. With him being in the military we never got a chance to take a real honeymoon when we got married so this is our honeymoon. We couldnt be more excited. Our cruise is to the Eastern Caribbean: Nassau, Bahamas; St. Thomas; and St. Maarten. By the sounds of it, you cant take a bad cruise, at least not with carnival. its all what you like and what you make of it. We know we'll love the caribbean, we're total beach bums. Good luck!
