  1. I think we have some posts happening here that don't understand the original question and keep obfuscating it with non-pertinent information. A. Of course any booking made prior to Oct 1st 2024 will have Simply More during 4th quarter 24, unless it was made prior to Sept 1 2023, then it will have one of the Olife options or nothing. B. Jan has already stated that any new booking after 11/1/24 that sails during 4th quarter 24 will not have Simply More, but a new promo. C. Any booking made during 4th quarter 24 and sailing after 1/1/25 will have gratuities. Everything else seems to just be noise.
  2. Just that many of us frequently already got $250 OBC when there were included gratuities, which has been more often than not. My question is what will happen to those?
  3. But that's the part that's hard to figure. If it was 27 days or 7 days you have it covered, just like you have since you've turned Silver. You are not out any additional money, but we are getting $250 extra in OBC. What we will see is less Ocapp, but if we do then will we get $250 + $250? But in essence what this does is dilute the value of that Silver benefit, because if you weren't Silver and took that 27-day cruise then you would be out real money. So as I said, the real value to us that are Silver is hard to figure.
  4. Well……. im still thinking this through. Are we gaining, are we losing, is it a wash?
  5. I didn’t until Jancruz cleared it up. Did you read the whole thread before responding?
  6. I don’t understand what your post has to do with my question. ??
  7. So the second part is what you added. Ok, that makes sense. But I’m not asking anything about after Jan 1. Just cruises booked after Oct 1 and taken before Dec 31 2024. I’m pretty sure I’ve been clear on that from the first post. My position is these would get nothing in the way of perks. It still seems to me there are 90 days of cruises there that if booked after October 1st are in a grey area. Hopefully I’ve made my question more clear.
  8. I’m not trying to be argumentative, just trying to understand. I see the first part of what you posted in post # 69 of the “No more Simply More” thread, but I’m not seeing the part that starts with “Two conditions”. Where does that come from? But my question concerns sailings booked Oct 1 or after and sailing before Dec 31, 2024. The way this is written they get nothing.
  9. Yes but, read what Cruiserchuck said. Simply More ends for bookings made after Sept 30th, 2024. I really think it's a grey area, would love to see someone report if they're in that situation.
  10. I misunderstood, I thought you mentioned Final Payment, which is at 150 days, between 181 and 151 is $500 per person and at 150 is 25% of full fare.
  11. Maybe I'm dense, but I don't see that. Is that a deduction since it doesn't specifically spell it out?
  12. Have you looked at the cancellation schedule?
  13. The updated inclusions will begin on bookings made on or after October 1, 2024, for all new reservations on sailings departing on or after January 1, 2025. Ok, What happens if I book a cruise on Oct 2, 2024 that sails on Dec 5, 2024 or any date between then and Dec 31st 2024? Maybe I'm missing something simple, but I'm not getting this.
  14. Who are you agreeing with on that subject?
  15. Just wanted to say that everyone contributing photos to this thread are posting some fabulous photos!
  16. I’d take that bet. They have enough trouble understanding the difference between Coke Zero and Diet Coke/Coke Light. Then you have the caffeine free versions of all of the above. I did ask for some Colombian Coke but didn’t have any luck.
  17. Just as I thought, both don't have to upgrade when done before the cruise. I think some people get that confused with the way it used to that if you took the beverage package as your perk for Olife you both had to take it. It is on some of the small ships. I was just on Nautica and it there. Don't know about the other two, but you would think Insignia would have it as it's the ATW ship for now.
  18. While regular OBC can be used it’s been reported here that the Simply More OBC can not be used for it.
  19. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up. But yes.
  20. I did, we had breakfast there and went back another day for the key lime pie with the mile high meringue. We loved it. They’ve pretty much always had the wine and beer with lunch and dinner, or the Prestige package. That could change but I doubt it. If you find nothing to your liking on the GDR menu I would recommend the Rotisserie Chicken. It’s one of my favorites.
  21. Also for me it's determined whether we are on a small private tour or a bus full of people.
  22. Well, unless you're over 10 cruises, then you're not that happy with it. Now we're paying for something we were already getting for no additional cost.
