Change cruise line. I have never had such issues in my 35+ cruises re: dining. everywhere staffing issues seem to be a big problem.. did any of this happen pre pandemic?

Tour sites in Athens & then lunch in the Plaka, always lively.

Call Princess as soon as they start in the morning. This has been working for me. Solve dining issues while on board the ship. so they can apologize & maybe compensate. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

I did not do this with Princess but with another company. It was near the port, in the evening and very enjoyable. would not choose it for morning.

Some cruises recently had a $1.00 refundable deposit in them. keep checking.

It was in May when we went. It is called GiGis on the Discovery Princess. Excellent food & service. was same pizza from Room Servuce for $3 charge, as well.

If it is offered take advantage of it. $100 pp FCD also tie up cabins. princess cancelled, unexpectedly some of the cruises I had payment on over the last two years. I had flights & hotels etc arranged independently. I was responsible if there were cancellation penalties on those. this time I have 2 cruises as back up—- I do intend on going on them because I have to use FCC by September 30/23. if you really want a certain cabin then book it early.

I may be too early as it just shows menus for dining.

I am trying to find out how to make dining reservations. Do I call or is there an option nonnapp or website?

To make a reservation is there a place on app or website or do you have to call?

It is quite always from pier. I recommend ship’s excursion.

The FAQ say book on app, but I can’t see where to do it.

I did not get to book a dining time at booking online. Do I need to phone to do that?

I think you would need to book their hotel- transfer package. it is very easy to use coach from LHR to Southampton on your own and less money then doing it with Princess in day of cruise.

Tour 165- more expensive one is my pick. though they can change order/ timing, I would want to go directly to see the Last Supper first, then have time in Milan on my own. you can’t miss the Duomo, as for going inside, you usually can.see dress requirements for entering churches. The Last Supper is in a small church, on a narrow street, you will be assigned a time inside. I remember we had 15 minutes inside, 10 minutes in gift shop, then out. that is a long trip there & back in a bus, hassle of waiting for stragglers, so having Last Supper first, in your own second is my preference. these 3 tours are offered in my WC segment in 2024.

and armadillo’s thread of same nature was posted recently , as I learned so much from her posts, as many others did. As a result of how she/ others were treated on the Ruby I modified my upcoming cruises. Worth reading cc well before getting on a ship.

Yep. Booked a week ago. Added Have it all. ( no crew appreciation) but my fare is $1k less then it is priced today.

I just took out a credit card with 3 options: text email phone

If you don’t have a cell phone then you don’t sign up for that option when you take out that credit card.
