  1. Have you considered Chankanaab Park? Lots to see and do and I believe that entry is $26. There also is a $2 coupon available online. You can get food and drinks ala carte.
  2. That is the problem. You can't play when the wind constantly blows your ball out of play. I will take my own golf balls on my next cruise.
  3. I honestly doubt if Royal Caribbean can get cheaper than Carnival. We just got off of the Valor and they have replaced the golf balls with plastic ones. Now anybody who has played mini-golf on a ship will tell you that it is hard enough to play with real golf balls when the ship is moving. Try it with plastic ones. It is absolutely futile.
  4. I got change at one of the stores at West End Village in Limpiras, but that was 15 years ago.
  5. It is the same in forward cabins. Especially in a tender port when they drop the anchor.
  6. After 20 cruise that I had booked through the cruise line websites or online TA's I finally called a sale rep to help coordinate our next cruise. I needed to book 2 adjoining cabins for my wife, me, and our two daughters. Everything has gone well so far.
  7. We have done 20 cruises and usually book an inside cabin on deck one or two midship. There is less movement and is located pretty close to Main Dining and the Forward Lounge. If we want to see anything, it is a short elevator ride to the Lido or Promenade. The main reason, though, is we are frugal (read cheap). Our Valor cruise last week was paid for by credit card points.😉
  8. We just got home from NO and always use Machu Picchu Parking. They have a covered garage and fence with razor wire. They have a shuttle service to and from the terminal. Great service.
  9. Chank is easy to do on your own. After you make your way through the maze of stores and to the exit you will find a line of taxis that will take you to Chank for a nominal fee. Plenty waiting to take you back to the pier. Just remember which pier.
  10. Don't hold your breath. We got off of the Valor last Thursday and received absolutely nothing. This was our 13th cruise with Carnival and did not receive so much as a pin. We did get to board and disembark early and went to the Platinum/Diamond party, but no gift.
  11. We just got off of the Valor and was only asked if we were vaxed. Didn't have to show a card. They check a box and wave you on.
  12. After you are paid in full you can check-in and print your docs and luggage tags, but not your boarding pass. It can be printed 14 days prior to boarding or 16 days if you are platinum or diamond.
  13. I'll have Sex on the Beach, but only because it is free because I'm Platinum.😉

    Roatan

We have done a resort day pass once and a taxi to Tabyanna beach and another to West End Village on Roatan. All booked at the port. Our next one is thru Victor Bodden to West End in May. Easy to book in port except Bodden who prefers reservations. Belize has some tours available in port. We have done a trip to Bannister Island booked from port. The cave tubing is a blast and a trip to Cay Caulker is great for snorkeling. If I was to do them over I would book through the Ship. Anytime I am going 20 miles from the ship I want a ship tour unless the local tours are guaranteed.
  15. I checked online and it is about 80 right now.
  16. Don't know about RC but Carnival wouldn't let you check-in until 14 days out. 16 if you were Platinum. I am guessing that RC is similar.
  17. If I remember correctly, we went to the guest relations or excursion desk and they boarded us on the next tender. That is about the only perk that platinum has really been of benefit to us. Well, that and the free drinks at the party.
  18. Nachi is laid back. They limit the guest to 125 or 130. I doubt if there was 30 people there on our last visit. It has been a long time since we have been to Paradise but it was pretty busy with a lot of kids. It also depends on how many ships are in port and how big that they are.
  19. And always have small bills. It is amazing that no one has change for a 20 and if they do, it will probably be in pesos.
  20. I concur. We have used them 3 times and are booked for this weekend. Great service.
  21. I checked the weather prediction for our stop in Costa Maya and it is calling for rain. In fact it showed 99% chance for Jan 30. I emailed Maya Chan this morning and canceled. I had my refund this afternoon. I'll be back next chance that I get.
