  1. I would think a nice tip with the request to your cabin steward would get you a couple of extra loungers from the pool deck. I doubt you’d get the upgraded padded ones.
  2. When I called to switch to traditional dining the agent asked if I wanted a table for 2 or a big table so that was good. That’s why we stopped traditional dining years ago too because I just got sick of having to change our table once we boarded.
  3. I just called and switched to early dining. The earliest reservations for MTD on my Oasis planner is 7pm and if that’s delayed it’s too late for us. How do you see you’re dining assignment on your reservation? I don’t see the early dining noted anywhere.
  4. The T&C says the OBC is only for new bookings so more than likely they wouldn’t give it to you for an upgrade.
  5. We had a GS this past September on Oasis and got nothing before the cruise from the Concierge either. Then on board they only wanted to offer 8pm dinner reservations for CK. So if someone doesn’t hear from them definitely reach out before the cruise unless you like eating late.
  6. I had one on 4/14 after 3 calls and hours of inept service and still haven’t gotten the credit on my credit card yet.
  7. I really don’t think you’ll be locked out of the shows if you book anytime on the first day. Most cruisers aren’t even aware that they have to make reservations which you’ll hear at every show check in.

  12. I’ve had that error message too. I deleted everything from my cart and added one thing at a time and checked out separately after each item. Once I got down to a restaurant reservation the original time I had picked wasn’t available and I think that’s why the original charge wouldn’t go through. Picked a different reservation time and it went through. My attempts where I got the error message didn’t charge my card. Are yours charges or just authorizations(pending charges)? Because if they’re the latter they’ll drop off.
  13. The only chips I’ve ever seen in the shops are Pringles. They do have a small selection of candy. I like to snack on nuts which I’ve never been able to find anywhere on the ships so I usually bring a bag of almonds and a can of peanuts with me.
  14. And here’s a shot from Google earth. There’s definitely more beach undeveloped they can use. I just hope it’s on the opposite side of the island from South Beach because the water is just too shallow on that side. Especially during low tide. Looks like the other side has deeper water.

  16. Thanks for the live report! Great job as usual. We were the first people off Oasis on our sailing. Carried our luggage and went down to the gangway at 6:30. Waited in the bionic bar until they opened the gangway at 6:45 and off we went. We were home before 8am. The weather here at the Shore today is terrible. It’s been raining over 24 hours at this point and the wind is awful. Gale warnings out. We’ve had gusts at 60mph today. And of course it’s cold. Safe travels home😊
  17. I think even more important than people wearing masks is that people need to start to take personal responsibility for their own health. If you are high risk for Covid disease maybe you shouldn’t be on a cruise? You can see that people are on these cruises that are over 65 and or obese so I’m sure there are people with other risk factors you can’t see like diabetes, heart disease, lung diseases, cancer…. For the younger than 65 and healthy people, Covid is not really concerning anymore than any other viruses that gets spread on ships. Especially when you’re vaccinated.
  18. We did a Christmas week cruise on year. I would not do it again. It’s not just the kids on board it’s the big family type groups that make everything more crowded.
  19. I called RC yesterday and they said give it 30 days😂 RC wins because I’ll never call for a price drop again. Unless it’s huge which I’ve never seen. It’s just not worth the hassle or time. Almost all of their agents are incompetent and the wait times are ridiculous. This price drop took three calls just to get it initiated. The first call the agent said my booking which isn’t until September and was booked under the CWC was not eligible for any price drops, my price was final. Next call the agent took about an hour to do the adjustment and at the end I asked will I get the difference in OBC or a credit to my credit card? He had no idea so he said he was going to just put everything back to my original price which took him another half an hour so after all that time I was right back where I started. Third call I called C&A figuring I’d get someone more competent. They did the adjustment sent me a new invoice that showed I overpaid (because I had paid in full) $119.00 but they insist the credit I’m going to get on my credit card is $89. When I called to ask yesterday where the credit was they say it’s $89. too. I have no idea where they’re getting this number from but supposedly it’ll take another 2 weeks to get the credit. I’m not holding my breath😂
