  1. Overall, Meraviglia is a bit larger than Seaside/Seaview and even Seashore/Seascape. The newer ships are a bit longer but it's not enough of a difference to notice, though.
  2. That's between the employee and NCL. Just like with your local restaurant, you have no idea whether the waitress keeps the entire tip or it gets pooled and split with the other employees (dishwasher, bus boy, etc.).
  3. Virgin should change "We've" into "You've" and "we" into "you" because of where the money actually comes from. 😄
  4. You can't just "swap" to give the 2 people in the balcony Haven access. The 2 Haven guests can sleep in the balcony stateroom if they don't want to sleep in the Haven stateroom. The 2 non-Haven guests would not have Haven access. They cannot use the Haven pool, sundeck, lounge, bar, etc. The concierge could allow them to stay overnight in the Haven stateroom but the non-Haven guests wouldn't be allowed to come and go in and out of the Haven. No, you cannot. People are assigned different muster stations, (in this case) different DSC, different amenities, and so on. If the 2 don't care about the Haven amenities, those 2 can just use the room sleep, shower, s.... and spend the rest of their time out and about. The best option is for the 2 staying in the 2nd bedroom to stay where they are and just peacefully co-exist with the others in the suite for the duration of the cruise. Nobody has to eat together, spend time together outside of the stateroom, go on excursions together, etc.
  5. That makes the Yacht Club the obvious choice on MSC. Haven and Yacht Club generally target the same customers.
  6. Log in "WITH YOUR MSC ACCOUNT" then click "MSC Voyagers Club" on the top right.
  7. You can use Discover over the phone and on the ship but using it on the site is problematic.
  8. Any "H" suite has the Haven amenities on Joy. https://www.ncl.com/cruise-ship/joy/staterooms
  9. This error is common. Just register your card on the ship. You don't have to do it right away. You can wait a day or even 2. There are kiosks that look like an ATM where you can register your card.
  10. ...then... ...no matter what happens on the ship, you already screwed up. 😁 It might be covered. It might not be covered. It can vary by drink or by bartender. Since the bartender will probably assume that both of you have the PBP, swiping your card and getting 2 drinks (1 non-alcoholic for her) will probably work. If you aren't around and she tries to use her card, she might get charged. Consider it a rookie mistake.
  11. NCL did ban them a few years ago (it was printed in the dailies) but even then, enforcement wasn't consistent. Current dailies don't have anything regarding door decorations as far as I know.
  12. Cool. I guess if nothing else such as promos, lat points, etc. changes, it's just a re-price with the same DSC conditions.
  13. A cancel/rebook would put you at the higher daily rate.
  14. For some unknown reason, when it comes to service charges/tips/gratuities, cruisers be like..... (Bonus points for the first person to name where this is from....one of my favorites. 😛)
  15. We'll never know how many people remove the DSC but NCL knows....and acts accordingly to make up the loss....but that's a topic for another day...😒
  16. The bean counters probably figure that less than 20% of guests will remove the DSC. If 1000 people were paying $16 pppd and now 800 people will pay $20 pppd, NCL hasn't really lost anything.
  17. For bookings made on or after January 1, 2023: $25.00 USD per person per day for The Haven and Suites; $20.00 USD per person per day for Club Balcony Suite and below; For bookings made before January 1, 2023, that pre-pay their service charges before their sail date: $20.00 USD per person per day for The Haven and Suites; $18.00 USD per person per day for Club Balcony Suite; $16.00 USD per person per day for all other stateroom types For bookings made on or after April 1, 2022, that prepay their service charges before their sail date: $20.00 USD per person per day for The Haven and Suites; $18.00 USD per person per day for Club Balcony Suite; $16.00 USD per person per day for all other stateroom types For bookings made on or after April 1, 2020, that prepay their service charges before their sail date: $18.50 USD per person per day for The Haven and Suites; $18.00 USD per person per day for Club Balcony Suite; $15.50 USD per person per day for all other stateroom types
  18. You should be good for the $18.50 Haven rate if you pre-pay.
  19. Because of the increases, there are different "windows" under which people booked and the pre-pay rate can be different for different people. For example... Someone who booked in Feb. 2021 for a cruise in July 2023 can pre-pay only $18.50/$18.00/$15.50. Someone who booked in July 2022 for a cruise in July 2023 can pre-pay $20.00/$18.00/$16.00. Someone who booked today for a cruise in July 2023 can pre-pay $20.00/$18.00/$16.00. Someone who books after Jan 2023 for a cruise in July 2023 will pay the $25.00/$20.00 no matter when they pay.
  20. I'd rather see the Haven sundeck expanded on Breakaway, Getaway and Escape to match Joy, Bliss and Encore. I'd also like to see the port side of the "new" Haven sundeck open to all ages and the starboard side (near VIBE) age 16 and older....I'd also give VIBE access to all Haven adults similar to POSH access on Epic. Getaway's VIBE has expanded but (so far?) Breakaway's VIBE has not...
  21. Although it should be obvious, if you have a hot tub on your balcony that has a bubbles function, DO NOT add soap/bubble bath..... ....and anyone on your side of the ship will appreciate it.
