  1. Well the names of all your documents must match, so it's up to how closely they pay attention at the pier. Make sure your phone is charged on embarkation day, because you'll want to be able to capture the breathtaking views of the ship sailing away from the pier. I would get a new vaccination card if it were me, no question.
  2. The restrictions haven't been lifted YET - not until shortly after Labor Day. Everyone on cruises right now still needs to test and all that.
  3. Usually they'll bring on soloists (on one of my longer cruises it was one of the singers from Little Texas), magicians, variety acts (on another cruise they had a whipcracker that actually put on a very entertaining show), etc., for entertainment on other nights. I hear that on some Journeys cruises they'll even offer lecturers sort of like Cunard.
  4. Every time I see a $50 or $20 or whatever cruise, if I can go I book it right then. I've lost them in the time it takes to pick a room in the booking engine. Some of them are extremely limited.
  5. Slots players do get more and better offers, it seems, at least with Carnival. That seems to be fairly consistent.
  6. I personally would not pay these prices for 2022 Carnival. They need to get their product back to at least where it was before I'd consider paying "brochure rate" for it.
  7. The bacon crisis is finally catching up to us I see. The specialty cruises often sell for a premium. The average cruise (a 5-day to Nassau or Cozumel) is still reasonable.
  8. We all like different things! I have fond memories of Carnival's older late night snacks buffet that served hot dogs with chili, so when they added that to the Deli's menu I was elated.
  9. Their S&S card will open the room they were booked in and nothing will change that. If they want to get into the other room, they can go to guest services and ask for a spare room key and then they can trade keys.
  10. The last cruise I was on with them, all the mushrooms in the tray were cold and desiccated.
  11. Yes this happens a lot and as of yet Carnival either doesn't care or hasn't found a way to clamp down on it. It works. The key though is B&D aren't switching rooms, they're just sleeping in a different room.
  12. The odd thing is Carnival never used to serve frozen fries at Guy's. They served fresh-cut fries. So they may be contributing to your shortage!
  13. Carnival isn't serving the fresh-cut fries anymore. I didn't notice the seasoning they're using is spicy, but maybe they're using a different seasoning on Spirit or maybe they're using more of it than they have on my last few cruises. There is no longer consistency with the Guy's product from ship-to-ship, at least with the fries.
  14. Even for the venues that are making the cut - how extensive will the renovations be. I doubt they'll be transformed even as much as they were on say the Fantasy when she had these features added.
  15. Let us know what you think - I am going to try them out about a week after you on the Sunshine - I sail in 31 days.
  16. Yes, these new menu items are ongoing - if not permanently, then at least for the foreseeable future.
  17. 1. The ordering process should ask you the day you want it set up. Your steward will take care of setting up the decorations typically. 2. A quick call to Room Service can get you as many plates and utensils as you require, if enough are not provided with the cake.
  18. My wife and I have a tradition nearly every cruise, order room service and lay in the bed watching a few episodes of Ghost Hunters on the TV.
  19. Carnival never uses "nights" to describe their cruises, they go by days and they don't count the day you leave.
  20. If you are directly beside the atrium opening, you will hear some noise. But once you get even a cabin or two away the noise is greatly reduced and really not a problem. Now when they're doing atrium parties might be a different story but those usually don't run super late.
  21. It depends when your cruise leaves and where it's going. All the info is here: https://www.carnival.com/Legal/covid-19-legal-notices/covid-19-guest-protocols?icid=advisory_cruisehealth_040122 PVPs can and do give wrong information all the time. Read the page linked here.
  22. The deli's hot dogs are great. And these days I think the deli's fries are better than Guy's...
  23. Is the reason you're cancelling covered under your travel insurance policy? Will your travel insurance reimburse you if you "No Show"?
  24. best way to answer this question!
  25. In Charleston they open the 12 pack and take out all 12 cans, then re-seal the 12-pack before sending you on your way. At least sometimes they do - it's a crapshoot I guess.
