If you have a current cruise booking and you are at the point of check in, it will show your current tier level under your name on the on-line version of your sea pass card. Otherwise, you'd have to call Blue Chip and let them look it up for you.

Yes, I think they will be changed or cancelled.

Ahh, I can see how that could happen. Our tags are plastic sleeves but they fasten by a heavy wire cord that screws together at the ends. Like this:

Very interesting. I have a very good understanding of statistics, probabilities and outcomes but this guy seems next level. I'm not a fan of game shows myself and have never participated in Deal or No Deal, and likely won't in the future. But I love the probability breakdowns in this newsletter. Thanks for sharing!

OP I'm so happy to know your luggage was found so that now you can rest easy and enjoy your cruise. Your scenario reminds me of why I insist on cross packing a few items of clothing and toiletries into other bags...DH gives me rolly eyes when I insist but you just never know. I don't have air tags but may look into them. It's a leap of blind faith when we drop our bags off at the curb...Enjoy your cruise!

I use those too. They are a bugger to get on and off...wonder how yours came off?

Looking forward to your first impressions. We don’t sail Grandeur until 2025 but will do so vicariously through others for now.

Yah, I didn't say that right. What I meant was Regent includes Business class airfare while other lines offer airfare for an additional charge, albeit discounted, but not automatically included. If other cruise lines automatically include air in the total fare, I don't know who they are. As it is, if one doesn't want the Regent air, they can take a $2500 credit off the cruise fare instead.

This is such a good point. I prefer the front of the plane myself and priced out business class airfare for a Med cruise only to find it at around 10-12K pp/rt. Last time we flew to Italy in Business class we paid $4500 pp/rt and that was tough for me to swallow...but we did it. Looking back, it seems like a bargain now. Included Business class airfare for over seas travel was a big factor in booking with Regent over other lines.

51% off is awesome! I love a good flash sale!

When I was a kid my family was relocating from Germany back to the states per Army transfer. A stewardess gave me a set of Pan Am wings to wear on my shirt. When I showed up on the next flight (non Pan Am) the new flight attendant saw my wings and offered me a different pair to represent the new airline (can’t remember which). Perhaps I will bring my Celebrity tote bag since our category isn’t eligible for the Regent tote…worked when I was a kid! 🙂

We got $1000 OBC for being new to Regent but we booked our own room.

Best Way to Reach Elite Status
Georgia_Peaches replied to peachcreamsicle's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I haven’t sailed RCI since 2013 so can’t really speak to food and such. Much has changed since then. Back in my RCI days I recall enjoying the food but when we jumped to Celebrity, I recall enjoying the food even more. If I had to guess, these days the line between food across RCI and Celebrity are likely quite blurred. -
Best Way to Reach Elite Status
Georgia_Peaches replied to peachcreamsicle's topic in Celebrity Cruises
In the past they’ve offered “Double Points” bookings and of course, there’s always booking suites and longer cruises that can help with point accumulation. We didn’t actively pursue loyalty points but did enjoy a nice status match when we switched from RCI. We sail multiple cruise lines so even with the status match, it took us a while. our fav Elite perks include the breakfast, invitations to private events, and the discounts. We’ve used the pass to Persian Gardens on a port day… not available on E class ships… not sure why. -
Leaving remaining OBC to staff as a gratuity?
Georgia_Peaches replied to 2023's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Good to know. It is reassuring when you get confirmation. -
Upgrade to Premium from Classic Drink Pkg -- SCORE!!!
Georgia_Peaches replied to LadyBerard's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Easily missed as the title: “Reduction in Drinks Packages” doesn’t necessarily imply price reduction. When I clicked on the thread I expected to read about items that have been removed from the packages, thereby reducing the offerings. -
Can We make 10 am flight from Miami
Georgia_Peaches replied to cruisin 07's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Same. But we’ve had no issues getting into port on those early flight occasions. I feel for those who have an early flight and then something unexpected happens. Scheduling transportation in advance definitely helps. -
Leaving remaining OBC to staff as a gratuity?
Georgia_Peaches replied to 2023's topic in Celebrity Cruises
You could always use the casino trick to cash out your remaining obc and then gift it to whomever you choose by placing the cash in an envelope with their name on it and handing it to them personally. -
hcat, this was definitely one of the things I was dreading missing the most when we went on Equinox in a standard balcony room. But that dread was for nothing as I was truly amazed at how quickly we were checked in and on the ship. DH and I had a good laugh over this because we joked that all these years Celebrity had us thinking we were getting priority when it was just as fast, if not faster than our most recent suite embarkation. All that to say...I think going from suite to regular category can really shine a light on what's hype vs. a true perk of the suite category.

My cruise planner shows 20% off the basic to premium upgrade. I just paid $7 and change per day for a single device upgrade.

Not Happy with Assigned Boarding Time
Georgia_Peaches replied to REDSTRIPETYPE's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We arrived at 10:45 for an 11:30 boarding time at FLL. Nobody asked about our boarding time. We checked in and then sat in a holding area until the benches filled up. Then we were escorted on the ship as a group. Got on board in approximately 25 minutes from curb to martini bar. Our check in didn't open at the 45 day mark. For whatever reason, it was delayed a week. I checked every day but finally got a notification from our Roll Call that it had opened. -
Mine also shows $13.99 pp. Just upgraded us for November! Thank you!
