  1. $500 per day losses to qualify for end of cruise OBC makes me feel queasy just thinking about it. 😵‍💫 I’m currently at the Amethyst level. Priority embarkation (a listed perk) apparently isn’t a thing, unlimited digital photos (another perk) isn’t really of interest to me, I do appreciate the free play, tho. Agree about the frustration of getting a live person on the Blue Chip line.
  2. I received the same e-mail and also found nothing to book for Chef's table when I clicked the link. In the past, we've booked the Chef's table once on board. Not sure of the point of an e-mail that leads to everything EXCEPT what is being advertised in the said e-mail. 💁‍♀️
  3. Does each leg of your cruise have a different booking number? I have no experience with this but it would stand to reason that the 2 bottles (1 per person) would apply for each leg of the cruise. Im assuming that 7 days x 3 = 3 cruises or 6 bottles max. Worst case you could take 6 bottles on your initial embarkation day and explain that you are on a b2b2b.. ask them to hold the excess bottles and have them delivered at the beginning of each leg of your cruise.
  4. We got bumped for a charter on Celebrity once. It was a “clothing optional”sort of fare… not our cup of tea. Sorry, don’t know the answer to your question but suffice it to say, you could be dodging a bullet.
  5. Odd. If it's a special, you'd think they'd mention it...otherwise, how would anybody know? Which begs the question, how did you find out? Also, what were some of the specials on offer?
  6. Reminds me of Carnival's Faster to the Fun pass...don't know if it's a per day charge, tho. I'm good with my embarkation time slot. I learned back in July when we embarked at FLL that the hype for priority boarding for suite guests was a lot of hype. I'm sure it's great in certain circumstances...Lord knows I've taken advantage of it as a suite guest but at the end of the day, we are all getting on the ship...unless of course, someone misses the boat. I think I will skip this purchase....for now.
  7. DH says he knew I was the one when I told him to Lighten up Frances...
  8. Perks list for Blue Chip shows priority embarkation for Amethyst and up as well...although I saw no place for Blue Chips at FLL either. We have an 11:30 embarkation time so we'll just go with that...
  9. Completely understandable and justified response. While the news in this video is encouraging, they (celebrity) should expect that some damage done is irreparable for some of the most loyal (Zenith) customers.
  10. That's offensive to Subway, whose cold cuts look so much better than the intestines on display in this pic. 🤮
  11. I can attest that there was plenty of liquor in my drinks when we sailed in July 🤣...but sorry to read about the poor service in CS...I hope you left some feedback at Guest Services.
  12. @cruisestitch did you feel motion or hear more noise than normal? And is the interior size the same as a traditional verandah room on S class?
  13. We really enjoyed Seashore. It's a newer ship and very beautiful. We were in the YC but felt very comfortable in all areas. I would say the feel is close to RCL and NCL...especially on the pool deck and sports/water park areas. I liked the indoor layout and dining venues better on Seashore than RCI or NCL. Only downside for me was the casino...not as good as the other lines...smaller and fewer games. If the price is right, give it a try!
  14. What category experience did you book? What ship?
  15. We enjoyed our Connie experience. I agree that you will need to see for yourself. People who have reviewed based on the food have a valid point IMO so maybe see if you can separate out food from over all experience. If not, then keep shopping around.
  16. We have one booked on Ascent for the very reason you said...not a fan of the IV concept. I looked at a few videos on line of the space...it seems perfectly fine for our needs. I like that the balcony, though porthole style, offers what appears to be plenty of shade.
  17. Personally, I would skip the Celebrity suite if you're doing a move up bid as that category doesn't offer much more than a bigger space over the Sky Suite. I recently did a move up bid (fair range) for a Royal suite and a loft suite on Ascent. Both those categories not only offer a bigger space but also other associated perks like unlimited specialty dining, multiple bathrooms, etc. As far as "worth it" goes, it's worth it to us if we get our bid accepted (unlikely) because the price to upgrade outright is so expensive. I placed the bid because it will likely be the only time we sail in either of these categories (e-Class). On Silhouette, I found the Royal suite to be very worth the upgrade. Bigger room, soaking tub on the balcony, powder room, bar set up, dedicated butler, included specialty dining...if you bid to upgrade I say go for a category that will give you more than a bigger room. I just rambled way more than normal...sorry.
  18. Definitely use a TA. Can’t stress this enough. Have a block of rooms in mind and then have a TA book them for you. not sure about Black Friday deals. Just keep checking prices.
  19. I haven’t seen any Christmas decor on a thanksgiving cruise but the MDR typically has a turkey dinner with the traditional fixings on Thanksgiving day. Enjoy your cruise!
  20. We had Conundrum red blend when we were on Equinox back in July and it was a rather good substitute for a cab. But I do tend to gravitate toward the Wagner family wines.
  21. Good to know. I'm not familiar with Elevate but since our suite days are coming to a close on Celebrity, I'm sure I will be learning more about this option. If it includes the PBP then it sounds pretty good. Glad you figured it out.
  22. I upgraded from classic to premium a few days ago. In my planner right now it says "reserved" on the option to upgrade to premium...indicating that I've already done this. If your planner doesn't say "reserved" it's likely you didn't do the upgrade yet.
  23. There is usually a drink of the day that is discounted. Also, you can hit the champagne art auction for a glass of bubbly...not sure if they have those on E class, tho. The cruise planner also offers an in room bar set up. I would seriously consider this if I wasn't doing a drink package. Between the bar set up, my carried-on wine, and casino play...one could be set for drinks.
  24. Not that I'm aware. However, we had no problem booking on embarkation day.
  25. Here's the tiers and associated perks:
