  1. Good to here about the Prime Rib. On our last cruise it wasn't all that good. It looked great but just didn't make the cut. Maybe they bought a better grade of meat lately? The carrot cake has always looked good but has always been disappointing. Our go to dessert is now the Key Lime pie (served in a mason jar) which can be ordered from room service and occasionally in the DR.
  2. In the past 20 years we've been carrying our own luggage on board with us & not had any problem getting access to our cabin once aboard, at least to drop off the bags. We enjoy having our bags available immediately after lunch so we can unpack ASAP and not have to wait for delivery. Prior to that we've never had problems with the porters of any kind. Saying that, if I were to have my luggage leave our sight, I would invest in an Apple air tag or android tracker just to keep closer track of it.
  3. Sometimes I dislike pointing out what's posted (people think you're a smart a$$) but it did change the context of the statement.
  4. True but they seem to be tolerated without much fanfare on casual evenings. No one fainted when people walked in wearing them. My husband was going to wear his but the DR was to cool even for him.
  5. I know but I've heard it all before many times.
  6. That would be to easy. I've even suggested a movable partition so they can shrink or expand the formal section to accommodate the easily offended people.
  7. Not necessarily. There's always hamburgers, hot dogs or room service . 😄😄😄
  8. Even shorts are not included on casual evenings any longer in their "suggestions". Not that I wear them at night but I do like their attitude about what they deem acceptable. btw- Their food quality hasn't degraded one bit now that people are dressing down.
  9. You weren't but others were. Princess now implies that people can dress up for formal nights if they like or not if they feel more comfortable in casual clothing. My take on this is that they please each group without really offending either.
  10. What if you didn't like that assigned table number. Could you change it afterwards when you found out where it was located?
  11. That's one of the best things they've installed over the years. Even at their busiest times, it's super fast.
  12. Then let them dress any way they want. No one is insisting that they conform to any attire, even Princess nowadays. If you enjoy dress up, do so. Just don't try to intimidate people into following your lead. If dressing up gives you that much pleasure then you must realize that dressing casually for a good dinner does the same for others.
  13. I find that Princess desserts are more show than taste. Occasionally you'll find a few that are exceptional. Great photo's.
  14. Did you meant to type "They really don't want you sharing with others."? We always just ordered at the bar since I don't want salt on my Margareta's.
  15. Strange guy. Usually people ask if it's OK to sit down as you might have been expecting someone.
  16. It was nice to look at but they all tasted similar to me. Maybe it was just because I was over eating so much during the cruise.
  17. Many of the crew do downloads & video calls during the night so it might explain that speed at 5 AM.
  18. Let them check all they want. I've got nothing to hide. 😁
  19. I think you may be right. They don't want to give their cruisers anything free any longer. i.e.- pens, writing paper, candies, prizes, soap, extra patters in room and now we can add free early morning dripped coffee at the IC . 😉
  20. We all know that you can't control what others do on a cruise so if you don't set rules for yourself there's absolutely no way to guarantee complete protection.
  21. Not a scotch drinker but I still like to have a some of my favorite stashed on the shelf so I don't have to bother room service late at night. When this new Plus program kicks in we'll have to resort to using the RumRunners like we did in the past. Now we feel forced to keep drinking just to break even.
  22. You would think they could put up a screened partition to provide a little privacy, at least from the gawkers if not the noise.
  23. I can't say for sure but a few years ago the IC was giving regular coffee at no charge during the early morning hours. (before 5 or 6 AM). What they're doing today, who knows?
  24. I've read all the technical comments here on CC and still believe it's caused by the extreme numbers of people that are using the internet most of the day. We were on the Enchanted in April and although I didn't test the speed I could still download movies in the early morning but that was when the ship was only half filled.
  25. The internet has been pretty slow on most of the ships since most people now are sailing with the plus package. I'll have to confine my main usage to early mornings to get a decent speed, if that's at all possible,
