My husband use to wear one also until last cruise when he forgot it & just wore a Polo with his jeans on formal night. There were so many others doing likewise you would have thought it was a casual evening except that no one was wearing shorts. Yes, there were many people dressed up as in the past but it's nice that they now allow people to decide for themselves what is appropriate and not be forced to eat at the buffet when the dinner menu in the DR is always more appealing.

Your attitude is that of years gone by when people were denied entrance to the DR on Princess unless properly dressed, but that's not the case any longer. - jeans & Polo for my husband and slacks & casual top for myself. If that offends some then they should maybe chose a more formal cruise line. If you haven noticed, the times have changed and Princess has joined the other mass market cruise lines with their dress code requirements.

Well since you know that Princess doesn't really enforce their dress code that stringently, why not leave the formal clothing at home next cruise? You obviously must enjoy getting dressed up if you go to the trouble of lugging the stuff along.

As it should be.... unless you enjoy dressing up, then do so.

I think the seating won't affect me so much as I always get to the show lounge early and always have a choice of seats but what's this about a class system on the Sun? I haven't been keeping up with that one.

Funny, because that's exactly what we do also, but I keep the glass on the shelf where the safe is and they never bother them. I retired our Rumrunner's when we started to get the plus package but it looks like we'll soon have to dust them off with the new pricing.

By any chance did you happen to notice if the food carts were in operation at Princess Cays? 🌯 🌮

It's defiantly worth the short shuttle price to save the money.

We also request the same table every night at 5PM after we find a good waiter. (which most are) Later in the evening it becomes difficult to place people at the same table since with open seating you can't hold the same table open for long periods of time. If the hostess at the door isn't willing to give us the same spot we just talk to the head waiter for that section & it solves our problem.

We do doubles all the time & after a while they know enough to charge 2 drinks to each account without being told. And yes it's hard to keep up with 15 drinks per day, but we try our best with a little help from our friends.

I've seen both the Rock Opera and Five Skies and didn't love either. After reading many good reviews, such as this these, I'll have to give them both another chance. 🙂

Although parking right in the port is very convenient, we prefer to save the money and use Park N Go since they provide a free shuttle and it isn't all that far away.

Oh, they have had some enforcement in years past but as time progressed, it had changed. The last being when the ships returned from Covid vacation where even casual clothing is now perceived as being formal enough.

The only one we get now is a yellow page one & it goes directly in the recycle bin.😉

I must have forgotten about that. My husband doesn't remember it either. Old age is getting to us.

No one mentioned here on CC. It got very good ratings as well. If it's not on the ship then I'll put it on order from my local library and it'll be waiting for me when I return.

It's a shame because it incorporates the crew's ratings in them. It won't let you skip to the section you want to actually comment on so I just gave up on the whole thing. They've made it altogether to complex to bother with.

Even Princess is admitting the change in attire lately.
