We opt for Perrier but even that with having the plus package is a waste since you can have as much as you like. Perhaps getting cans of soda would be a better choice? It's to bad they no longer issue coffee cards. You could give them to friends.

Although they've never asked for it in the past, I guess I'm paranoid about it and don't want to take chances being rejected so I check the app at around 60 days & select my boarding time. There may be a time when they actually begin to enforce it but for now it's still unnecessary.

Well you're in luck. You'll find it'll impossible to find any balloons on any of their ship nowadays. Even the ones above the cabin doors for celebrations are gone.

Funny that you mention that. I brought a handful last cruise & found that their latest paper straws were sufficient. I wound up taking them home with me.

I told my husband that & he found it hard to believe. What ship and when was it that they didn't have Princess ice cream on the menu?

I wouldn't buy it out of principle. If they can't supply a simple dish of ice cream at no extra charge, then I'll order 3 of the regular desserts & leave what I can't eat.

If you want balloons you have to bring your own from home.

When we were in the Caribbean last spring, the internet speed on the Enchanted was very good almost all the time. I could download movies (early morning) and during the cruise even attended a Zoom meeting while moored one afternoon without any dropped signal. After reading about the poor speed other have been receiving I wouldn't count an getting a decent connection elsewhere.

Hardly a rush. Some people take days to prepare and others whip up a concoction 15 minutes before the event.

At that rate I would have to test every day. I don't think so. I'll know if my body has changed.

You usually sign up at the beginning of the cruise & the competition takes place on a sea day towards the end of the cruise on a non formal night.

The first World Fresh Market we experienced was on the Caribbean Princess and it was enough to mane us never return. Unfortunately it seems to be spreading like the virus.

I always seem to have a runny nose when I'm cruising & I'm not going to volunteer for a Covid test unless it's a forced one.

No mater what they do today, it's going to take years to change the connotation of Princess being a ship for older folks. i.e.. Carnival= Party ship for young singles. HAL= Only for the old folks that like lectures. NCL= Mix of young & middle age. Celebrity= Middle age tradition style cruising. Princess= Lots of old folks that prefer traditional cruising. 10 PM bedtime. 😁😁

Which is basically nothing. Over all they years with newer designs Princess has never once included anything that would appeal to the younger generations. We shall soon see.

It would take literally years to change the Princess image from the image they've built over the years. It just doesn't have what it takes to entice younger families to sail Princess. There are some families that are still attracted to Princess the way they are today, but is that enough to carry them into the future? The older folks are dyeing off slowly but what I don't quite grasp is why they didn't make some major changes (like RCI & NCL) in their newer ships to attract a younger crowd with kids.

It's more a matter of what the person prefers to be comfortable in. Having to wear a suit jacket or long dress is not. Thankfully it's not a "requirement" any longer.

In the past when the virus was even worse, the ships were indicating that masks be worn throughout the ship except for the DR & buffet. So what do you think is going to happen now that the worst effects are a sore throat & cough? They couldn't get most people to mask in the show lounge or elevators back then. Perhaps a cruise isn't the right choice for some people if the fear of Covid is that overwhelming.

LOL 😄😄 I can see that you're new to Princess. They never give actual OBC for anything. All prizes have always been minimum for any events with the biggest over the years being a bottle of the cheapest wine they have. We couldn't even give it away to people who knew what it tasted like. 😖 Lately all the prizes have been a coaster with the ships name on it.

And don't forget all the people who have it and don't want to say a word for fear of being quarantined.

That's where it becomes an almost impossible task for all but the most flagrant jeans. I've seen some very nice ones and some that barely qualify as decent work pants. i.e. suspenders with a hammer loop.😄
