  1. I haven’t either, but this is not a normal TA, IMO. They sell Cruises with hotels, FCC’s etc. Asking for the money all up front. That’s why it surprised me, that 65% and $500 a month. Strange. Did you look at other threads on these Princess promos to see if anyone else has had the same experience? Here’s one of the threads, when they first started calling people and we thought it was a scam. Another thread, a month later. One poster has a long response about ONE and hotels included, etc. There are many other threads, if you search. You might be able to ask questions of someone who has booked through them.
  2. Would any insurance cover them, if it was a scam? They could go through their CC, if it did turn out to be a scam. Maybe to dispute charges? Lets hope it doesn’t come to that.
  3. Here’s that $500 a month you mentioned in an earlier post. According to your same post, he IS supposed to pay $500 a month. Is it possible the ONE agent did pay in full to PCL already and your friend still has to pay off the cruise to the ONE TA? This is such a goofy way to handle the accounting. If it were my friend, I’d invite them over to go through all of this with their T & C, that they agreed to, documents in hand and travel summary. That is, if they wanted my help. JMO
  4. I think this is a question? Uh NO! 🤣
  5. He would be too late for insurance if he’s past FP. Unless, there is a policy he could buy now? He should have a phone number to call for the person who booked it. He needs to get the information on the hotels booked, confirmation numbers, call the Florida one and email the Rome hotel and verify he is booked and paid for. Never heard of them charging $500 for a future cruise. He needs to look at the fine print. What did the agent book? Where’s the receipt on the website for this charge? Is this non refundable? Is it shown in his account as a FCC? I would print out the travel summary and check it closely for any mistakes. What a mistake, that PCL allows this agency to pull these shady tactics. SMH
  6. Sounds like O.N.E, PCL promotions. They cold called.
  7. Also, Jeanine.. you mentioned it was correct on the old App. So, if that’s still the case…work off that App and request your ocean medallion for the first cruise, ship or pick up at port. The 2nd cruise, order medallion as pick up at port. This just completes the process of checking in. The only other thing you can do to straighten out the new App is call in and pick the option to speak to the ocean ready team and they can write up a ticket. Hate to suggest a call in, but the only other option, if they won’t respond by email. If I were leaving soon, I’d just complete my check in on the old App, print my travel summaries for each cruise and go! I wouldn’t even bother calling in, unless it’s for a cruise later in the year. Maybe, maybe not? What a PITA. Let me know how it turns out.
  8. Rejected emails? Customerrelations@princesscruises.com Jpadgett@Princesscruises.com Those should go through. If your account shows correctly on the website and your bookings are shown correctly in the cruise personalizer, on the website… you should not have any problems at the terminal. Print your travel summaries out for each cruise. Those are correct, right?
  9. The non existent profile toggling between cruises on the new App has been reported since the new App was released. Evidently, there are no plans to update it. Too bad, as it was a efficient tool. I hope they consider it, in the future.
  10. I wonder if they are starting to enforce the 6am-6am drink rule? Kind of petty, as you don’t get to embark at 6 am. More like 11 am before you get OB a ship. JMO
  11. I definitely agree you need a CVP, who is a Princess agent and could help you, as others have suggested. If you want to email customer relations and ask for their help, here’s the address. I would nicely explain, in a calm email to them, that you need to talk to them and ask for their help. Customerrelations@Princesscruises.com
  12. This was posted earlier today by @Astro Flyer Perhaps our @Host CJSKIDS will combine? TIA
  13. Exactly. You never know. Wow! I hope she’s all mended now and you’re back to cruising.
  14. That is not an issue. It is the way the airline computer system is programmed. We have never had an issue with Global Entry, TSA either, as they are well aware.
  15. If that GC was a Princess GC, then hopefully, they will issue a check to you. The prepaid cabana should go back to your Credit card. Their billing and accounting departments have been processing refunds in different ways, so can’t comment for sure. Do let us know how they handle this.
  16. No. You do not see the cabin until you win the bid. So, it is a gamble. Don’t do it, if you are very particular about your location. That’s why I suggested you check the deck plans for the different suites and see where you could end up. That could be a wide variety of cabin locations.
  17. Many times the inside is a lot less expensive, so some go for the lower price. Also, others like the darkness for sleeping. On a port intensive cruise, some say they aren’t in the cabin much anyway. IMO, we like balconies, to relax, to have a glass of wine (or two), an ultimate balcony dinner and get away from crowds, etc. Everyone is different. Welcome to the Princess forum and the Sky is a beautiful ship. Enjoy.
  18. If she is leaving Saturday, she may hear really soon, because most of the time I’ve seen the GTY’s worked just before they work the bidding to Upgrade. Make sure she checks her online cruise personalizer, where the cabin number would be shown or the summary. They usually advise the TA and then they advise you. But, not always. I found my cabin number in there. They never advised the TA. I checked my record every day 😂, as I don’t usually do those.
  19. Because of cancellations. That can happen anytime before sailing. Look at the deck plans and bid on a suite that you would be happy with the location, if that’s really important to you. It will at least give you an idea if it could be Aft/Fwd or mid ship, depending on the ship and category. You do not know the exact location until you win the bid. That can be right up until about 2 days before sailing or so.
  20. Never heard of this on PCL. Only on Royal Caribbean recently in Australia. It was all over the news. Cabin assignments for GTY can be anytime. If the ship is running full, she may get the assignment up to even the sail date. But, I wouldn’t worry. We got ours 2 weeks before and a great cabin.
  21. Do you know what your GC balance was? Does it make any sense if you take the GC balance and the left over amount would be refunded by check? Was the full amount owed you on a GC? I’m wondering if they had a new employee putting in codes for refunds left over? Or, just a big error. Check the gift card that you used and see if any refund appears. May be a while, as I don’t know how long it takes. Your check may be anywhere from 2-8 weeks reaching your home. Let us know.
  22. And that’s the way it should be handled. Care and dignity. Thank you for sharing.
