We had mass aboard the Edge in the week before December 2018 held in the conference room next door to the Club venue. I think the priest was aboard for just the cruises pre and post Christmas. I was surprised how well attended it was.
We always visit a deck bar first. It has to have Peroni beer. If it doesn't we move on to the next!
We eventually end up in the IC for a light snack and a dessert. Then we find a bar that offers proper Champagne. None of that Chateau de Gangway rubbish they try to push onto you!
On our Edge cruise we could dance Latin in the The Club. Its floor is perfect for Ballroom too but sadly the music rarely suited a Waltz, Quick Step or Slow Foxtrot.
Loads of opportunities to dance Cha Cha, Rumba and Tango however.
Celebrity ships are the worst for Ballroom dancing opportunities. Princess is better IMHO
I upgraded myself last November for our July 2023 cruise. Will my wife now have to upgrade too or does the rule change only apply when it came into effect?
I never saw it last July. Other than having a fresh orange juice each morning I stay clear of any healthy options!
My daily alcohol intake is purely for medicinal purposes of course 😉
Always works for me and getting fresh orange juices at breakfast is a bonus.
I'm not a foodie so tend not to eat much on a cruise as it interferes with my available drinking time!
Whatever cruise line or ship you are on, to me the buffet food is always luke warm. Why can't they put a micro wave oven somewhere discreetly for those of us that like piping hot food?
I've upgraded for myself so I can get the Peroni beers, but the wife can stick with the Classic and I just pay the extra for her cocktails and proper champagne.
We have only ever used Celebrity fights, but these have all been for Mediterranean cruises. Flying out of the UK on embarkation day has always been trouble free. We will do the same this summer for our Reflection cruise.
We are on Reflection this summer and I have pre-booked a two nights package (using my OBC) in Murano's for our desired nights and times.
I did try a three night package but with that one it automatically gives you a 3 pm embarkation slot which I couldn't seem to change. I doubt we will be on board to change it either so I'm happy with just the two discounted chosen nights.
I use mine as a ball marker when playing golf. The magnet means it is always attached to my metal pitch mark repairer so less likely to get lost unlike many other ball markers I've had (lost)!
We never enter the MDR or speciality restaurants before 8.30 pm. If you think that is late then you best not visit Spain. You will be eating pretty much alone before 9 pm there!
