  1. Hello all! I just booked the Constellation R/T from Tampa the beginning of Feb. 2024. For those of you who have used this port, have there been issues with fog? I thought that I had read about it some time ago but cannot find the information. The reason why I ask is that we are planning our flight out of the area and were wondering if we should just stay the day and leave Florida the next day or just plan for a very late flight out? We usually try to fly out around 1-2pm on day of disembarkation but worry that may not be enough time if there is fog. I haven't really read about this being an issue at other ports. TIA!
  2. If you like fish, you can always try Sushi on 5 and get the sashimi. No rice comes with it. They also have avocado there.
  3. Testing is important. If you test positive you have the ability to take the Covid meds to reduce the symptoms and treat the infection. If you test negative, you can breathe a sigh of relief. Unfortunately, some only test once when the virus may not be shedding enough to give a positive indicator. Multiple tests should be done throughout the time you are feeling ill. Glad it was mild for you. For many others, it has and may not be so.
  4. You certainly never seem to disappoint with your posts--prose and pictures. Will you be experiencing any of the 4 MDR's on your voyage?
  5. I believe that the solarium pool opened at 7am.
  6. In short, the answer to all your questions is "yes". Dining in Luminae is $20/lunch and (I think) $30/dinner per person, subject to availability. Have fun!
  7. Whenever I read your cruise post, I think they are the best…and then you go ahead and outdo yourself with another. So glad you had a wonderful time with everything you did, saw, heard, tasted and drank. Enjoy the “down time” with your family until you sail again.
  8. Just caught up. Hope you have a wonderful time and thanks for taking us along.
  9. Just caught up and want to say, a big "THANK YOU" for taking us along...again. More than your insightful commentary and beautiful pictures, are the kind words you use to express your thoughts and answer questions and comments. So sorry about the weather issues, but like "water off a duck's back" (maybe the wrong phrase for now?), you will soon find yourself back on board. This will create another memory. Be safe and have wonderful voyages!
  10. Just caught up and so excited that you are taking us along. Have a wonderful cruise!
  11. Thanks for taking us with you. Have a wonderful time.
  12. I swam the equivalent of a mile (not slow) and it was fine. I would have preferred it a little cooler but I never overheated in the water. The depth was about 4'. The pool was crystal clear but I did wear goggles b/c of the chemicals. I swam as soon as the pool opened and was usually the only one in it and if someone else came in I just swam close to the side.
  13. Years ago Celebrity used to have reviews listed with their shore excursions which I had found so helpful. There was positive and negative and both shed light on what I could (or could not) expect. Too bad Celebrity did away with that feature.
  14. I have tried many times over the years to find a good and responsive independent travel agent and I have had no luck. I started using the big box TA and have been very pleased. However, I do my research beforehand--I find the cruise I like and book it directly with Celebrity and then transfer to the big box TA. I constantly check my Celebrity emails for new promos, and also CC for other information/promos, and reach out to the big box TA to check if I can get them applied to my cruise. The hold times for the big box TA has significantly decreased over the last few months. Yes, I get different agents, but I take detailed notes and they often have similar notes in my file so that they know what I am looking for. As others have written, you cannot access the Move-Up bidding process, but you wrote that doesn't matter to you. I also like that the big box TA has a link to a very, very good trip insurance carrier that offers a discount for their best product. In the past, their shore excursions were also top rate. I haven't used the big box shore excursions since pre-pandemic so I don't know if they are still good. In summary, if you are not a detail-oriented traveler who will be your own advocate and have the time to invest then you should probably stick with a personal TA. P.S. The shop card is pretty nice, too😁
  15. When I contacted CC I was informed that as long as the other person(s) lived in the same household their CC account numbers would be linked together for the highest number of points available. Those points could come from sailing and PUPs.
  16. Thank you for the review! Funny thing is that a few years back the rudest staff member I ever met was a bartender in the Sky Lounge. Hmmmm.🤔
  17. I was under the assumption that they assigned your seats. Good to know that you can pick the ones you want in advance.
  18. We will be staying here for our cruise. Did you feel it was a safe area to walk around?
  19. Like Jim, we have used the outdoor bathtub and it is nice to just sit and soak and watch the world go by....
  20. On Silhouette I was able to use my sneakers instead of cycle shoes.
  21. We did the same B2B last month on Silly. You'll have a great time! Enjoy!
