  1. Happy birthday!! Just out of curiosity, what is the name of the pizzeria in Pisa?
  2. Unfortunately, we cannot switch our limo service. We are coming from Florence (Firenze) and the driver/car does not have the permit in place to give us direct access to the ship. Thank you all for your answers--they are helpful. 🙃
  3. Hmmm, opposing answers to the shuttle. Wineaux007, when did you take the shuttle?
  4. Hello All! We leave next month sailing on the Constellation out of Civitavecchia. We are staying in the Retreat. 1. Is anyone familiar with the terminal and if there is a dedicated Retreat access line and/or lounge? 2. Our car service will be dropping us off at the entrance to the port and we will have to take the free shuttle to the pier--does Celebrity have a dedicated pier or will we have to search for the location when we arrive? 3. Are there dedicated shuttles to the specific cruise ship (there will be 4 in port that day) or do we travel from 1 to another until we reach our's? Any other helpful advice is greatly appreciated.
  5. Never thought we would sail with any cruise line but Celebrity. Never say "never". We still have an upcoming October Celebrity cruise and then 2 in 2025. I have started to check out Viking, Seabourn, Regent and VV. Not sure what we'll do after 2025.
  6. Thank you for taking us along...both, on this forum and the ship😃. As many, I will be excited to hear your views on line other than Celebrity. Best!
  7. I will be traveling to the Civitavecchia next month via a private transport from Florence. I was just informed that the car will not be able to drop us off (with a lot of luggage) at the terminal but outside the port near the cruise ship shuttles. Can someone please let me know if they have used these shuttles and: 1. easy to get on with 4 large pieces of luggage and carry-on? 2. are they designated for a specific ship or do you just go from ship to ship? 3. are they free? If not, how do you pay for them? 4. do they run frequently? Thank you, in advance, for all your help.
  8. In actuality, if it is an error on the website it's pretty bad. There are those who will be pricing Celebrity, not realize it may be an error and never return b/c they will feel priced out.
  9. Just an update. I was finally able to log into my account and navigate to the "redeem rewards" site. Unfortunately, both BOA and Celebrity informed me that once the cruise is paid for, the rewards do go back as OBC (Celebrity would not confirm that it would be refundable, though I don't see why not). I cannot apply the rewards as a credit to my next Visa statement. The latter would have been nice, but I will just apply my rewards to my next cruise in Feb. 2024 and lower the total payment. Thanks again to everyone who chimed in. Happy sailing.😊
  10. Very kind of you to post your experience(s), especially in light of you being under the weather. Feel better.
  11. Yes...on my last 3 cruises--Silhouette, Equinox, Constellation from 10/2022 - 2/2023
  12. Equinox, Silhouette and Constellation had rye bread (toasted on request) with and without seeds.
  13. Also, bear in mind that the shorter duration of a cruise enhances the possibility of more kids cruising.
  14. Thank you to all who took the time to answer...and especially to those who understood that I want it reflected as a credit on a future BOA statement. I will try to go online and see if I can apply it that way.
  15. Hello all! I have been scouring the search bar and I am not able to get an appropriate answer for Celebrity. I want to redeem my Bank of America (BOA) Celebrity Visa rewards as a credit to my upcoming October Italy cruise. I have paid in full and have a $0 balance for my cruise. I contacted BOA and they transferred me to Celebrity Cruises (CC) Captain's Club. The rep at CC told me that I am only eligible to redeem the points for OBC as I am fully paid. My question: is there a way that I can have a monetary credit for my points applied to my Visa account? If so, please furnish me with the appropriate contact information. Please note that I am not asking if this is the best credit card to be used so no need to give me feedback on that issue. Thanks to all in advance for helping me out.
  16. Based on all this information, can we assume that the Connie November 2024 TA will be canceled.
  17. Free gelato for us, too, while staying in upper suites.
  18. Thank you so much for writing your review and all the stunning pictures. Just out of curiosity, what is your take on the Iconic Suite? Would you book it again?
  19. How about a proper English Tea? For those of us across the pond, it would be lovely to experience that on the high seas. Perhaps a nominal charge of $15-20? For those more adventurous, how about a 5 minute "Drive the Ship with the Captain"?🤣 Not sure of the price or that one or the liability it would add to the moment(s).
  20. 1. We get to the port early to board the ship. 2. Go to the cabin to drop off our carry-on baggage with medications, stow valuables and documents in the safe, and do a HAPPY DANCE. 3. Check in at the muster station. 4. Time for another HAPPY DANCE. 5. Walk around the ship until it's time for lunch. 6. Seems like another HAPPY DANCE moment. 7. Go back to the cabin to unpack the checked baggage and search for the missing ones (never fails it's down the hall). 8. People-watch from the veranda, chill in the cabin and yes, you guessed it...HAPPPY DANCE and get ready for dinner. Have a wonderful time and don't forget your HAPPY DANCE😆
  21. I have found that the information that Chemmo has regarding suites is indispensable and on point. You are the Onshore Concierge (OSC) Angel!😁 You will find every dining venue's menu in the PH for your perusal. Following Chemmo's advice, I send a detailed email to the OSC with our preferred likes/dislikes, asks and restaurant preferences. We have found that we can always change reservations later on and by asking for them in advance we are assured of our dining times. I also keep a copy of that email for our butler so that he/she doesn't have to guess at what we prefer. I have asked the butler, in the past, if they find the request letter offensive in any way and I am told that they wish more guests did it. The butler said that they know exactly what we are asking for and it makes their job infinitely better and easier. Have a great time on your voyage!
