Adventure of the Seas questions
Sunshine3601 replied to Reijo's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We have always used our vouchers for specialty coffee and bottled water the morning of disembarkement. Never had a issue other than long lines if you don't get there early enough. -
I wonder why they are not doing anymore 8 or 9 nights to bermuda out of florida for 2025. We usually do the 5 or 6 nighters out of NJ or MD since we can drive to either port. I'm sad as we had a 5 night bermuda cruise on Liberty OTS booked for September but I had to cancel as my Boss's Wife surprised him with a 2 week cruise to Scotland, Ireland, etc. for the same time frame and I'm not allowed off when he is off since I am a Manager. I was going to switch to mid October but this late in the game I couldn't find an OVB in our preferred areas. We are thinking about booking one of Brilliance sailings out of New Orleans for November. Neither of us have ever been to NO and we love the radiance class but not thrilled with their itineraries.

I hope you love Bermuda as much as we do. No need to book any Royal excursions. It is such an easy island to get around. There is a ferry at the cruise pier (ticket booth/visitors travel center to buy all day pass or 2 day pass). You can take the ferry to St. George and wander around, then take it to Hamilton and wander around. Their bus system is very easy and great way to get around the island too. You could go to the lighthouse, the aquarium and check out the pink sand beach..Horseshoe Bay or visit their lighthouse. At the dockyard we always enjoy eating at The Frog & Onion Pub - great atmosphere with great food. There are several shops to wander around and a small snorkel beach you can walk to from the dock. Plus there is lots of history with the forts. There is a walking history tour of the royal navy dockyard that you can book at their travel center that is located after you get off the ship (same place you buy the bus / ferry tickets). If you happen to be there on a Wednesday night there is a street festival in Hamilton called Harbour nights that is lots of fun too. You may want to check out this website to get an idea of what Bermuda offers to visitors. My family has been going here for years as land and sea vacations. We miss when the smaller ships docked right in Hamilton. Enjoy😊

I have grown to love sea days. You can relax, read, nap or join in various activities. Whatever floats your boat. Enjoy😊 -
Buffet- Symphony of the Seas
Sunshine3601 replied to Domiknow's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I do miss the days when they served (sometimes). Some people do gross things without even thinking about it. Unfortunately majority of items are self serve. -
You will also have access to the Crown and Anchor lounge where you can get specialty coffees self made with their machine, no vouchers needed. And they will have small morning selection of Donuts, bagels, fruit, yogurt parfaits, smoked salmon, assorted cheeses, etc. And as long as happy hour is available for Diamond members, varies per cruise, they have a nice happy hour selection of hors d'oeuvres. Enjoy

Well what's the dining package?
Sunshine3601 replied to tim_london0's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Did you receive invoice via email? The top portion with your name, cabin # usually shows your dining time. Traditional dining has 2 times...usually 5 or 5:30 pm or 8 pm. You may request a 2 person table or they can seat you with others. You should call them to specify your preference. -
Bad Weather Weekend Cruise (Possible)
Sunshine3601 replied to RZDBS's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It's the risk anyone takes with booking a cruise during hurricane season. I'm sure there is plenty for the family to do on the ship should it rain. Go with the flow and enjoy some family time away from home. -
Henry the groundhog is no longer cute. He is now a nuisance destroying my raised garden beds and eating a lot. Eric named him Henry 2 weeks ago when we saw him eating some clovers. He's not the least bit scared of the cats and they just sit and watch him. I put hot peppers and garlic around the perimeter on Saturday but he didn't care he had a feast last night and has a hole right in the middle of my tomatoes bed. Eric put mesh fencing around everything today and put a whole container of cayenne pepper in his hole. Suspect he will just dig another one. In all my years of gardening never had groundhog issues. Anyone have any suggestions?
