  1. Parking at Port Everglades is $15/night. You can drop your luggage, then park, or park and take the luggage to the drop-off spot. It's a bit of a hike to the drop-off spot, though, so drop it before you park if you have a lot of bags and/or mobility issues.
  2. The safety reference seems to be in relation to moving the drydock to a later date.
  3. I think you have a couple of date typos, but regardless, this is good news for me! 😀 Thanks for posting.
  4. The two seatings have been eliminated on the Edge-class ships but not on the computer system. Equinox is a Solstice-class and should still have two seatings in addition to open.
  5. I asked for a callback in April and am still waiting.
  6. Have you thought about renting a car? I wouldn't want to spend Saturday at an airport hotel. Rent a car, drive to a beach area hotel, turn the car in on Sunday morning. For 2, the cruise line's transport back to the airport is a good option.
  7. I'd be less worried about the cabins not being together and more irritated that one cabin was downgraded. Someone is due a refund and/or some OBC. I'd keep on Celebrity about this.
  8. I've sailed HAL (first cruise was on that line, and I was in my 30s), and they also have a mix of ages on shorter cruises, much like Celebrity. Why everyone is angry that younger people are being denigrated but then have no problem doing the same to older people and/or other cruise lines is beyond me. I've never had a bad cruise. I don't care how old the other passengers are, and I don't care if they care how old I am.
  9. Keep in mind (as you noted) that as others are moved up, additional suites might become available. Make the bid only if you'd be happy with any cabin in the MU category.
  10. I decided to book a HAL cruise for December after not sailing that line in 10 years. And I'm close to booking a Princess cruise for next May. While I am sure those lines have also had cutbacks, I want to check them out myself to compare.
  11. Ensenada is not a DISTANT foreign port. All that's needed for a closed-loop cruise is a foreign port, not a DISTANT foreign port, which is required for a non-closed loop cruise (e.g., Miami to Los Angeles).
  12. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2953243-want-to-change-my-cruise-was-told-i-lose-my-obc-booked-a-future-cruise-on-board/
  13. More bad news: hurricane season is from June 1 to November 30. 😉
  14. Sure--that's why I didn't use airport codes. But PP implied Brightline wasn't already running.
  15. Brightline is already running between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
  16. A few thoughts: --On a 7-day cruise, a comedian will do one or two regular shows and a late-night one that's more adult --Pizza and pasta are available in the buffet until late --Plenty of game shows and trivia
  17. The window can be opened via a switch near the door, near the window, or via the Celebrity app. And it's just a window--there is no "out there." If they go out the window, they're overboard.
  18. Yes, which is not the point I was making. For the OP to pay a "small" (read: on sale, $15/adult and $12/child) fee to get back to the airport and then travel to the port is a waste of time and money.
  19. We enjoyed (/s) the bass from DJ Tash (could have that wrong) from 11 p.m. "until" on the first night in our Deck 7 SV. We called Guest Services and asked to be moved. The DJ did a late-evening show all week. Fortunately, we were moved to Deck 9 and had no more noise issues.
  20. Sure. Whichever deck is right above Eden. Noisy as all getout. I'd change rooms if you're even closer on Deck 6.
  21. We asked to move from our Deck 6 SV on Apex and were fortunate to be able to. The bass in the evenings was awful for hours.
