  1. Yes, it works well. Might be a few cars ahead of you, but they work fast.
  2. Where are you going? If just to the airport, get outside and find one of the $10 pp vans.
  3. Not really. I don't tip because I enjoy it. I tip because it's the right thing to do.
  4. The infinite verandas aren't verandas. They are cabins with windows that open. When the window is open, the AC is off. Not sure what month you're looking at, but the Caribbean can be warm all year.
  5. Yes, but it has limited space. We called to reserve on the day we boarded (maybe around 5?), and it was already full.
  6. No. The "zero" refers to sugar, not caffeine.
  7. Yet the website says cash is accepted at some plazas, hence my confusion. https://floridasturnpike.com/tolls/cash/
  8. Not everyone in a handicapped cabin is actually handicapped.
  9. Brightline offers discounts for groups of 4 or more (you qualify!) or discounts on kids fares with adult travel. See https://www.gobrightline.com/offers
  10. The Turnpike is cashless from Canoe Creek Plaza in Osceola County to West Palm Beach, and probably beyond that but I can't get a clear answer on the Turnpike Authority's website. OP, you may find it easier to 1) take I-95 to avoid the Turnpike tolls or 2) pay the rental car company's fee for using its toll transponder in the car.
  11. Just a note: having to pay the VAT under certain conditions isn't new.
  12. The Aquarium's website says they will store luggage, but you must buy an entrance ticket as well.
  13. You can try for the next promotion. Note, though, that those cruises get cheaper toward the end of August, so the 8/4 sailing might be more expensive overall. Last fall I was on sabbatical (yippee!), and booked a later August cruise for less than the ones in early August. Naturally, when you go back to work, the kiddies go back to school and fewer people can travel.
  14. No, it was not. The e-mail asking for questions was a few weeks ago. I received the e-mail about the webinar on Sept. 26 from the Captain's Club.
  15. The Aquarium will hold luggage.
  16. Eh, who cares what some zhlub with more money than manners thinks/says? Just laugh and continue your cruise.
  17. Right, and the one the OP is using for a Celebrity cruise.
  18. The parking for Terminal 6 is in front of the terminal, same side of the street.
  19. Yes, there's parking outside the Celebrity terminal. You can also pay a bit more for valet parking. Google for deets.
  20. I'll steal another poster's thunder and advise scrolling a bit on this board to find similar posts.
  21. With airline issues, I wouldn't fly to a place I don't need to be to take a train. Flying straight to FLL is a better plan.
  22. I shall post upon my return! 😀
  23. Those numbers look good--but how much is your hotel room? I'm riding down the day of the cruise, so also saving a night's hotel.
  24. I booked a roundtrip in December to catch my HAL cruise. I had a coupon code for 30% off and am traveling solo, so my ticket was cheaper than that. I figure with parking ($120), gas, and aggravation, it's coming out about even with driving. I'm testing it out because I'd also like to use it in May when I'm taking a transatlantic. I don't want to have to rent a car one-way to get to the port in that case.
