Going on the blood test and needles situation for some my granddaughter has a needle phobia after a very nasty accident when she was 3 and spent some time in hospital with needles coming out of all arms etc , so getting blood test is normally in hospital at young ages anyway with the numbing cream but now she is 10 they have to have it at the doctors but after 3 try’s they have sent her to hospital for it and after 4 try’s with no success she is now having play therapy to get her to the point where they can take it , 5 play therapy’s later they think she’s ready for next week but we’re not holding our breath for that yet because she would of had a week off not going to hospital and her anxiety would return, fingers crossed because she’s missing a lot of school for a 10 year old .

Graham I’m just catching up on this thread and I’m so sorry to hear about your Sarah and what pain she is going through at the moment and I sincerely hope all is well and better next week when she starts having injections, my thoughts are with you and Pauline you are a loving supportive uncle & Aunt to Sarah and very close .

Im really sorry to hear this sue , a real worry for you but be strong and I hope she’s much better when you see her today , take one day at a time she’s in the best place and I hope she’s home to you all soon.

What a miserable day with rain down here today so we took ourselves of to Southampton for som therapy shopping since we were due to be on Arvia yesterday! Think we had a luck escape from sounds of it from another thread, anyway brought myself 8 pairs of socks in the sale in John Lewis £10 reduced to £3.50 for 5 pairs bargain 😁 we then went to the Red dog saloon to have lunch , big dirty burgers but ther onion rings are to die for .

Wow what a shambles of a cruise they all had , well I certainly had a lucky escape as we should be on Arvia now going to the Caribbean. Really sorry No pager thank you & Dentist at sea your cruise over Xmas was such a disappointment, thank you for putting in the review.

Good evening to all , I do hope you’ve all had a lovely week now doing all your celebrations and opening prezzies , and now starting to plan your year ahead, go for it Avril life is too short 😍 . We have had a relaxing week binge watching films in our pjs and out for roast dinner and curry nights around my daughters, and another visit to the dentist because my tooth filling broke again after having it repaired 12 days ago so much more expense to have it repaired. Managed to keep awake last night to watch the fireworks on tv , not much went off here and only lasted 30mis went to bed at 12.30 and was still awake at 4 with fidget legs , so only had a couple of hours last night , went for a 3 mile walk on the beach this morning and did a roast for tea . Other half been watching nfl since 6 o’clock and now his team is on so that’s him until midnight so I’m on here early tonight, probably jump a couple of forums to princess to see wowzz on there and royal Caribbean to see graham on there I think he’s following a live thread the same one I’m following a couple from Canada, ( they always stay in the best suites) . Mrsgoggins I’m sorry to hear you have lost your very dear friend of 60 years plus and having to cut short your holiday to return to the funeral you are a true friend. I don’t make resolutions because I know they wouldn’t last long with me , but I am increasing my walks every day to keep my knees working and some weight down ready for my holiday in February and March .

Welcome back Jane it’s lovely to here from you again you were missed by all on here . Sorry to hear you’ve not been to well , but now you’re feeling much better and even booked a cruise for this year ( I think I can get away with that because it’s so close now) I too don’t post every day but I read everything at night and during the night keeping in touch and up to date with this happy bunch , it’s nice to hear from you again.

As you know folks I don’t celebrate Xmas , but I certainly hope you all on here have a lovely weekend and eat plenty and stay safe , warm, & well and anyone travelling to families or off on holiday have a safe journey 🥰

I sort of had a relaxing time , we didn’t do very much my husband was helping brother in law out working scrapping paint of floor tiles ; didn’t go anywhere but the trip was mainly to see dad before Xmas , I did get bitten by a spider which made me a little I’ll , because of the purple blisters it left and the chills I got it sounded like it was the brown recluse spider, had some antibiotics to take but still have to keep a eye on it has it can turn into a ulcer 🥴

Well good morning everyone, I’m flying back home today later , back to the breezier cold , been 23 here but we did have 4 days of rain but as soon as that stops it’s burning hot again, was up early in the mornings watching the sun rise while sister in law’s and dad still in bed sleeping, as for their Xmas lights outside my husband brought them all solar ones so no electricity been used , she’s very happy with them .

We had a lovely big window seat very forward right next to the gym , and no there was not any noise coming from the gym, we wouldn’t hesitate in staying in it again.

Well have a lovely cruise and plenty of sun , sorry you couldn’t get the room you wanted and I’m sure you’re get the hang of the wheelchair, eat plenty your on holiday 🌞

Well good morning to some who are still awake now , I’m currently sat at Gatwick airport far to early for my flight which is this afternoon 😤 we decided the other week to change our car parking time to arrive at 3 in the morning as our usual time but we normally fly out out 5.45; , decided to come early because of the protesters on the m25 a few weeks back and didn’t want to risk it , and the other half prefers to drive at night much quieter roads , protesters have obviously stopped now but haho and we thought we’d be able to check our luggage in and leisurely take our time around the shops and get a nice lunch before boarding but can’t check luggage in until 10,30 so sat in the Nicholas clipper Bar contemplating a G&T or a cuppa , just had 8 police officers walking around us with the sniffer dog very clever dog , airport starting to get busy now , hope you all have a lovely day keep warm and dry .

Well it started off with a lovely sunny morning here but very windy so went down my beach for a nice walk lovely rough waves crashing on the beach and lots of dogs running around mad enjoying themselves, got home for lunch then on came the miserable rain . We’re all be thinking of you tomorrow Michelle. Indiana123 have a lovely cruise.

Good morning everyone a much better morning down here this morning after yesterday’s rain which left most of the roads flooded, not a lot on today just picking granddaughter up from school and a little bit of packing for fuerteventura next week. Michelle I really hope you can get on those trials and it helps you 🙏

I don’t think they sing happy birthday anymore (thank goodness) I think they’ve got enough to do so no singing on our recent 3 week cruise on Arcadia.

Have a lovely 40 days on Arcadia phill we enjoyed our 19 days apart from the first few rough days around the bay .

Also suites we’re getting new balcony furniture this turn around morning

It was 1,600 passengers about 70% full one officer said and it seemed like it , no saving sun beds, no fighting for theatre seats and not too busy at the lunch time buffet, I was on 2nd fixed seating and table for two in a lovely spot , but there was many , many problems with the app for people on dine my way some waiting 1 1/2 hours and very long queues due to people just turning up , but I think after the first week it settled down but a lot had changed to fixed dining then . Enjoy your cruise on Wednesday and fingers crossed for a negative test . While on our cruise we had 1 helicopter evacuation, 1 coast guard evacuation, and a few ambulances waiting on shoreside my best wishes to a healthy speedy recovery for all . There was also by the end of the first week plenty of coughing/ sneezing people around and has the cruise went on I found more people wearing the mask .

Good evening everyone I’m back off my ventures on Arcadia, we had a lovely cruise some hot weather and lovely ports except missing Mykonos due to some winds they said but mainly the pilot refused us to dock so we had extra time in Rodes which we stayed the night . The ship was looking a bit tired in some areas but didn’t bother us , the staff were fantastic , food was good and hot , ocean grill was a big let down in food wise not up to standard, we had a better steak in the meridian restaurant so cancelled our next two appointments with them . It was very nice to meet up with some fellow cc members silkworms ( Terri) thank you very much for turning up it’s nice to meet in person. What entertainment we went to which was most of them was all good , I think we missed about 4 shows due to tiredness. Finally we bumped into some friends we meet on Arcadia 4 years ago 2 days into the cruise which was fantastic again to see them and in due course met up most evenings to have a pre dinner drink with them and even go to the silent disco which was great fun . Hope you have all been well while I’ve been away , I’m trying to catch on a few pages later tonight.

Well I’m all ready for our cruise tomorrow morning, all house work done and packing finished it’s the most I’ve been prepared for a holiday, no looking after in-laws and grandchildren now , so quite a relaxing day today, just been out for our pre cruise dinner so I don’t mess the kitchen up 😂 local restaurant to us just a 5 minute walk so plenty to drink , we did have a bottle of wine but I didn’t take a photo of it I forgot

Looks a bit overcast this morning and wind picking up , filled out my health decoration this morning very nerve racking doing it even though I know to answer No on the questions, so printed that off , going to get my nails done soon and the rain as just started hopefully just a shower , I will be catching the bus today as I have my strict orders not to use the car as it’s parked in a special place in our shared car park, a place where other cars don’t park next to you and bang your doors we call it the premium car spaces 😂 all washed and hoovered out for return, my daughter will be taking us on Tuesday for our long awaited Arcadia cruise, just my case to pack now and we have 4 formal nights and 1 celebration night so effectively 5 formals so I’m packing 7 formal dresses in case my waist line expands so much I have a choice 😂 , I do love formal nights but as I’m getting older I much prefer evening trousers and flat sparkly shoes and evening tops they are much more forgiving on the waist so I certainly will not be buying anymore long dresses .
