Lovely royal breakfast graham and il expect you have afternoon tea ready as well enjoy your few days with Sarah and give Pauline my love 😍 just finished watching the coronation and all the services lined up in the gardens of Buckingham palace and it brought back memories of when we went to see the queen for a garden tea party and had cucumber and mint sandwiches and lovely they were and how simple they were, lashings of tea and little chocolate cakes with a gold crown on , just walking through those arches and then inside with the huge staircases, the time went by so quickly, but cherished the moment.

Brilliant love his big ears 😊 we have knitted lamp post as well as the post boxes up our town , the local knitters club change the theme every couple of months .

Hi Eglesbrech, I was able to book the catch restaurant on the planner last week when you book your dining room preference. I will be following along as I’m on beginning of June . Have a safe journey down from Scotland and have a wonderful cruise, enjoy & relax.

I’ve just come back from a MSC cruise and they sing happy birthday at the dinner table and aload of other songs if you want with a waiter and his guitar.

So sorry Avril that you have had to cancel this cruise and I hope things can get better for Frank and you both can get away for maybe some short breaks to get some change of scenery and sunshine, glad you got some of your deposit back .x

Graham I’m glad you’ve posted now you’re home I didn’t want to say anything in case you weren’t going straight home and I know you like to keep private when you’re away, it was really lovely to meet you and Pauline that lunch time and being sat next to each other by chance you were both just as lovely in person as you are on here .

Im sorry to say it’s the worst cruise I had in 23 years, lovely fantastic looking ship etc but yes you could never get a seat anywhere , not enough staff, it was a chore to get a drink I waited 50 minutes one day and eventually gave up , too many stag, hen , parties etc but that was understandable due to it only being a 3 day cruise 5,013 people on board . Loved how quickly the embarkation and debarkation was , loved how the lifts worked, and the singers in the theatre were good .

Good morning everyone a little cloudy here and the window cleaner has just woken me up , had a lay in after my virtuosa cruise which we didn’t enjoy one bit ( except for one lunch 😉) I won’t go into any details about the cruise except it was very very busy. We rested our ears yesterday unpacked and sat catching up on a few programs, washing day today and then tonight I’m off to see Olly Murs in hopefully what is a good seat because my husband got us VIP tickets not knowing what he really done and just thought all the tickets were that price , so hopefully near the stage and our ears will be ringing again tonight 😂 have a wonderful day everyone.

Good morning everyone it’s a bit dull here this morning and dry for now but the heavy rain is due about 2 o’clock here but I’ll be on the ship then so no walking out on deck and doing that high walkway which I wanted to do , il leave that for Friday while we’re docked in Portland so no movement to make it difficult. Looking to do that for a lunch time all you can eat , but what would you recommend for boarding day lunch avoiding the buffet , we’re are only Bella so no posh restaurants for us .😤

Been busy today with packing for our very first MSC cruise tomorrow, it’s only for 3 nights, to Portland and then Cherbourg and back Sunday morning, just to try the ship out for maybe future bookings etc , it will probably be as we all know it a booze cruise but il ignore that !! . On another note I had a email today from my cruise agent about a deal on queen Mary 5 days inside cabin £199pp to celebrate the king’s coronation to overnight in Liverpool, we so much wanted to do it but commitments to have grandchildren this week killed it , thought it was a good bargain, what do you think ? It’s on may 2nd if you want to search it out ,

Most certainly as long as you got their cruise number , name, and if you can cabin number, phone guest services up and book it , I’ve had it done to me with flowers and champagne.

Loved your live thread vamps and your lovely girls smiling faces to cheer us all up . We’re off to Iceland & Norway in June and going up Loen sky lift again for much longer walks this time and so much want some of that snow to remain for us , probably not but it’s just so beautiful views up there worth every penny.

It’s my first MSC cruise next week on Virtuosa please can someone tell me what time these shows are and if they are on twice in one evening, I’m not sure if to book before my cruise or leave until I get on as I don’t know what time I will be given for dinner , also are the shows worth it ?

We do like to go to the theatre shows after dinner as we normally eat late so late show afterwards but we always sit at the back so if their rubbish we can leave quietly, most nights we go if it appeals to us otherwise we’re walk around to see if something appeals to us , we are not bar people or drink a lot late in the evening so sometimes after dinner we might go up to the crows nest and listen to some piano music and have a drink but I guess I’ve been spoiled over the years of the shows and people I’ve seen and it’s sometimes hard to please us , we normally turn in early at night because we’re early risers , that’s the best part of the day .

Hi nini it’s what we want to do for our June cruise too we’ve never experienced this and it’s our 45 th wedding anniversary cruise, we’re on the same one as you (roll call) and wondering how is the best way to book.

Lovely pictures vamps and your daughters are lovely always smiling, love the picture of them poking their heads round the swords , enjoy the rest of your holiday.

I have found a few on a P&O ship before and I left them exactly there , but in Spain I came across a duck shop with thousands of different ducks to buy all dressed up , different nationalities etc , I don’t see the need for this unless you want company in your bath 😁

My thoughts are with you josy to have such friends for such a long time is a treasure in your heart forever.
