  1. Just ask your stateroom attendant to bring you Ice 2x a day. If you need more just ring him up and ask for more. Would be nice if you tipped him accordingly. You can also get Ice at the Buffet area.
  2. It isn't in the cart as I already paid for it. When I go to the excursion there is no option to cancel. The only thing I can do is book another excursion but of course my $600 OBC is showing fully used. I will have to call in and have it credited.
  3. I believe Edge is the only ship in Australia for the Cruise Season. Solstice did a TP from Hawaii and then on to Singapore for the Hong Kong / Viet Nam season. Solstice will be returning to Sydney in April and we will be joining her for the TP and Hawaii to Vancouver. Not sure how much of a VIP treatment we got. The Captain had announced we have a Fireboat water greeting at 6AM - didn't happen. The only thing different. Our cabin was adjacent to the bridge and noticed two guests on the bridge. I took a picture and asked a friend from Sydney if he knew who the guys were. He said it was one of the News Anchors from one of their TV Stations and he did a live segment from the bridge. When our cruise ended, we had to go through a long line to get through immigration. Walk offs were in front of us and as a suite guest we were the first on line after them. Line had about 500+ in front of us. The line did move fast and we were trough in about 20 minutes.
  4. Temperatures are pleasant that time of year. NY will probably be in the mid-60 - 70.
  5. I would call in and have them correct. Alternative that I have found recently, message them on X (Previously Twitter). I had a problem recently and messaged them. They responded back quickly and fixed the problem. While I don't know for a fact but would assume that if the correct CC number is on the reservation the boarding pass may not matter. It may be much easier to fix now then having to have corrected later.
  6. We were recently on the Singapore to Sydney with stops along the GBR. Hmm... having been out to the actual main reef - about 2+ out from Cairns, I was rather disappointed on private Group tour we took. The reef was rather close in to port (Airlie Beach) and not what I would call spectacular. Thunder Cat was the Vendor. It was rather close to an island and shallow - instructed to just stay on the edge. The currents were also very strong and some had to go back to the boat after a short time. We have previously gone on the Quicksilver out of Port Douglas (about a 6 hours tour from Port Douglas) and was incredible.
  7. Glad you made it. Flight delays seem to be the norm as of late. You had me biting my nails as I read you post.
  8. My experience (with a travel agent). I just text him and he adjusts the price. He also advises if it triggers loosing a perk.
  9. In my experience they begin the day after Thanksgiving and continue to decorate up until Christmas Eve. Each day more and more are added. By Christmas it is a Winter Wonderland
  10. Hope you have a wonderful cruise. Looking forward to following along.
  11. Yes. You will have to call in to have the discount applied. They do not allow double dipping so either the CC discount or the 10%, but not both.
  12. I received the notification direct from my TA as well as one from Oceania.
  13. I guess I will have to wait until Wednesday since this is a Holiday weekend.
  14. I'm also unable to drink and never found a problem finding non-alcoholic drinks. At all bars they will be able to make mocktails. Of course an non-alcoholic martini might just be a glass with an olive in it. They also have soft drinks, sparkling water and Club Soda. I've had many say let me make a surprise for you.
  15. In the case of Civitavecchia I have always used Stefano's RomeCab for over 10 years. https://www.romecabs.com/
  16. Thanks --- I will send him a Text on Monday. I'm they type that usually does most of my planning myself and only use our TA for the extra perks. I will have to get use to using him more for things like this. I've just never had a cruise line cancel a port and not immediately also cancel and credit back any excursions that were booked.
  17. I'm also new to Oceania but when I look at the Itinerary you posted not sure how much of a night owl you may be. It is a very port intensive itinerary and both you and others may be quite worn out after a long day in port and then dinner. While we are outside your target audience, we are European and will never dine until the latest time available to still be let into the restaurant. Personally we know that Oceania will be different than other (we are also new Oceania cruisers) but thought we would try it out and see if it's a fit for us.
  18. I'm on the same cruise. This is our first Oceania cruise and finding a negative with Oceania. We had a rather expensive excursion planned that cost us additional than our OBC. Now I find there is no way to cancel and rebook something else. So far Oceania has not cancelled the excursion and refunded so I guess I will have to call in on Monday. Just seems logical to a non-Oceania veteran that if you cancel a port and excursion it would automatically be refunded. Does Oceania usually have a long wait time when you call in.
  19. Just got an email from Oceania that they had substituted a small town, Klawock, Alaska for Wrangell, Alaska. We had an expensive Excursion booked using both OBC and personal funds. At this point there are Zero excursions listed for Klanwock (not much there) and they have not cancelled our excursions. Will I need to call Oceania to sort this out or will they automatically refund since the port was cancelled. The cruise is not until September 2024.
  20. They only transfers I've know from Ravenna is to Venice. Ballona is the closest airport but not sure if they also offer shuttles there.
  21. I think I get more excited at 45 days prior to the cruise when CheckIn opens.
  22. The only current ships with T-Pool are the M-Class ships.
  23. We did a B2B in December on Edge - December - They did the B2B processing on-board instead of using a Transit Pass. This was the 2nd half of the World Cruise so there were a large number of B2B's. For Suites they did it in Eden and was very quick. Just sat down - an agent come over did the normal check in using a Pad. Went into the backroom and came back with our new seapasses. Non-Suite Cruiser - There was a line of about 500 that were being processed in one of the MDR's not sure how long that took. Once we were process we were free to depart the ship. There was another option that you could go ashore as early as 7:00 AM and do your B2B checkin at the pier on your return. All B2B's had to be off the ship by about 9:15 and could not return to the ship until general boarding began around 11 AM. I think we left the ship about 8:30. Just walked off. Since we had already cleared immigration on our first port of entry into Australia we just walked past Customs who just waved us through. We were in no rush. We were meeting friends of ours who live in Sydney but had been on the first leg with us. We were meeting them up at the at Art Gallery NSW to view a couple exhibitions and then have lunch Crafted by Matt Moran (Rated best restaurant in Sydney 2* Michelin). We had plenty of time to walk around Sydney and up to the Botanic Gardens before meeting for lunch. Our cruise was departing at 5:00 PM and we didn't have to rush to get back to the ship by 3:30. Once back to the Terminal we just flashed our sea pass and they directed us around the checkin process. At that point I thing there was more staff than passengers.
  24. Have done many TA and all have had Beyond the Podium speakers. The norm is at least two and topics are varied. We had one who had been a high ranking staffer at NASA and spoke of the space program. He even did a private presentation in Retreat. Well attended. Also had one who had been White House a Social Secretary of the White House Social Office. Spoke of the various First Ladies and everything from the various parties and challenges. Never been disappointed and many of them pack the theater daily. Luckily they are also recorded so they can be watched in your stateroom if you missed one.
