  1. That is the one reason we struck them off the list of potential replacement for Celebrity.
  2. Like mentioned above it is rare for the ship to stay on Ship's Time vs Local Time . One that comes to mind is Newfoundland which has a 1/2 hour time zone. Really was confusing as we had a private tour so one of us kept a watch on ship time and the other land time.
  3. I'll see if I now receive anything. For me I stopped receiving communications from them some time in 2024. I did receive the invites for December.
  4. There are currently two Live Reviews of Celebrity Cruisers that are currently on MSC. @DaKahuna and @JamieLogical. Will be interested to read all three comparisons. We each have our own perspective of a cruise.
  5. They were doing status match, but not sure I've seen mention of it as of late. I don't remember reading anything on what that status gave you. I thought YC was equivalent to Retreat Status and only available by type of room book, but I have Zero knowledge of YC
  6. Most cruises will have between 1-3 Chic nights. EVENING CHIC Each itinerary features one to two “formal” nights we call Evening Chic. Evening Chic means you dress to impress, glamorous and sophisticated in your own way, with a cocktail dress, skirt, slacks, or designer jean, an elegant dress top or blazer—some guests even pack a tuxedo or gown for onboard photos. The Daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening. If you do not wish to participate in Evening Chic, Smart Casual attire is acceptable for dining and theater. https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/onboard-dress-code
  7. I've done it before and it may be possible and you may have to pay a fine and a processing fee. You need to call Celebrity and they have to check regulations and port customs and immigration availability. A fine may apply if they approve and you are violating the Cabotage. Not knowing your full itinerary, the problem may be that the Canadian Port of Victoria (if your only Non-US Port) may be your required the required Foreign Port under the Cabotage Act.
  8. John - I was reading on @JamieLogical description of disembarkation in Cartegena today. Does YC give Suite Passengers priority embarkation like Celebrity? I didn't recall is Jamie is traveling in YC but was surprised them having to get tickets.
  9. Yes just click on the link from your original bid and choose Cancel or if Choose you can also modify. Both are available up until expiration or awarded a move-up
  10. Learn something new every day. I'm not a big Gambler but somehow reached Onyx, a Zenith and a Suite Guest so wasn't sure why I had never been charged.
  11. Like many others I stopped receiving Power Up and Move-Up communications approximately 2 months ago. Today I contacted Celebrity via X (Formerly Twitter). They looked into may account and indicated I had changed my settings (which I had not done). "Thank you! Upon reviewing your account we see you had turned off the notification for you not to receive our emails. We have now activated it back and you will now receive the move-up emails and Power Up Points activities when available."
  12. Yikes.... I just found your Live Post. I was reading your comments on @JamieLogical post. Since I don't follow MSC regularly didn't realize you had your own. I'm speed reading and hope to get caught up.
  13. There have been about 1/2 dozen posts about the Butlers returning. I is complete on a couple ships and is rolling out fleet wise. Suppose to be complete, I believe by end of March. Some of the delay is getting some of their butlers back that have been reassigned or are no longer on ships.
  14. You can use the app - select a current ship that is cruising and see all the bar menus - Beers -- $8 for Bud an Bud Light , Micholob Ultra and others go up like Corona Extra $9 and a numer of them up to $11 Vitam Water $4, Soday $4 Water $4 Red Bull 7 Espresso -- $4 Cappuccino and Latte $5 Tea $5
  15. Yes. First is Luminae - I think they added the sofa seating and look like they squared off the curved area that use to be there. They were taken by Ade Roberts - he posted them on FB. He often has access to the ships while in Dry Dock or just out of dry dock. They are also on Instagram if you search Celebrity Infinity
  16. Or even on Edge - they were in dry dock and it was anticipated they were going to add a "Real" bar to Retreat - It didn't happen. On board they said there was still plans on adding it while in service - which makes no sense to me.
  17. You are correct... they upgraded Michael's Club to Retreat and added additional seating in Luminae. Very aggressive set of upgrades for a 2 week Dry Dock
  18. Thanks for all that are adding in. I looked at them once and after reading the fine print I moved on. Their advertisements sound so good BUT......
  19. Financials have been Positive Y/Y. Stock Price have been relatively flat since beginning of year - High 17.32 and Low of $16.33 (today).
  20. If you decide (or are permitted to purchase) make sure you read the fine print or search on CC. My understanding of reading the fine print is that you can not use them on an existing booking or for use onboard. They can only be used on new booking as part of the cruise fare.
  21. I didn't receive anything even and nothing in my Junk or Spam folders
  22. Upgrading your cabin should not trigger a loss of your deposit or $100 pp change fee. As long as you are upgrading to a cabin at least $1 more than your existing cabin. It is possible that you will loose a OBC if the current promotion is different than when you booked.
  23. It would be helpful to know if you are prior to or after final payment and length of cruise. Below are for Refundable - for NR depends on when you purchased. If before Final you can pay a fee to shift to antoher cruise for a fee I believe is $100 pp.
  24. On mine - I was extrapolating from the Excursion Screen - Both Pago Pago and Apia are showing as Day 10 - International Date Line. At least on excursions they are both listed but like you only shows International Date Line on Dinner Reservations.
