  1. This is what we bought and everything plugs into it with either a USB or plug. It’s small and we’ve not only used it on ships, but everywhere we’ve been in Europe. In the past we’ve had a couple of devices burn out when we plugged into European outlets so we bought this with a surge protector https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E140XWA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
  2. I’ll just be happy I get the email to be able to do the quizzes…. But as long as people let us k w here, with a link, I’ll be good. I haven’t gotten one this month though?
  3. Jimbo, please don’t be offended by what I’m going to say, but you seem to post only negatives about this cruise on this thread and I’m not even aware you’re booked on it. Why can’t you post some of the positives? This cruise is going to many places that most people have never had the option to cruise to in the past. Yes it’s expensive, like everything else these days. But this will be a once in a lifetime experiance for many people, but you only seem to see the negative. I’m a glass half full person.
  4. I read it in the Orlando Sentinel. Such sad news, but thankfully he survived!
  5. I saw someone come in for morning coffee with their robe on once 😳
  6. I don’t understand why anyone cares what others wear.
  7. I can only wish that my DH would let Me book this much travel. Sounds wonderful! Enjoy every minute!
  8. I didn’t ask him, since he knows you maybe I did….. hopefully I did 🤷🏼‍♀️
  9. We eat a lot of Tofu….and tempeh….. I’ve taken all the recipes that previously were made with chicken and now make them with Tofu. DH likes it now too.
  10. That’s terrible! and yet we’re still dry as can be here in central Florida
  11. So we officially booked 2 segments of this cruise! I wasn’t sure hubby would go for it but he’s more excited than me…..if that’s possible!
  12. That has not been our experience. I ask that all sauces be on the side, including salad dressing which I always change because I order Caesar salad and can’t eat the dressing. Ive changed potatoes and rice and vegetables. Not all the same time of course,😁 I’ve also asked for and received extra veggies.
  13. Same….. we’re not happy with the food, but we’re still sailing too, until the prices get too high. And as my father-in-law used to say “get your moneys worth”
  14. I agree as long as ships are full they have no incentive, but most people sailing now may have booked months ago. It may catch up to them eventually, and if they’re reading any reviews, it shouldn’t surprise them. But I could be wrong and new cruisers have nothing to compare it to so they’re happy.
  15. True, but food being cooked to the proper temperature so that the food isn’t even warm isn’t subjective IMO, nor is cooking it so any kind of protein (fish, poultry or red meats) is so tough it’s almost inedible. Those are the things the head chef is responsible for and we didn’t see it on our cruises since January. The negative changes I’ve seen are not related so much to the taste of the food or menu changes, but to the quality of the food we were served. I know that is different on every ship, but when Royal reads the comments here, the other social media site and the post cruise comments, someone should take notice. When our kids were growing up I was able to make healthy meals that didn’t cost a fortune and tasted really good. I know royal cut back on expensive foods, but that wouldn’t be an issue for us if it was cooked and served properly. And of course this is just my opinion based on the cruises we’ve been on since January.
  16. Since the change to the “gifts”no more beer to leave them unfortunately, but I do ask our room steward if the like water or soda and I use any unused drink vouchers to get these for them.
  17. Different people may cook the food but the person in charge of what’s coming out of the kitchens needs to be watching and serving food that’s consistently good, not based on a roll of the dice of a new crew in a couple of months. No restaurant would be able to stay in business if they just relied on the cooks. Whomever is in charge in the kitchens is not doing their job properly on these ships.
  18. Is this in WJ? Do you know what it is? There were things I didn’t know what they were just based on the name.
  19. I’m not vegan but I eat mostly vegetarian and before the changes I ate mostly from the vegetarian menu each night. Now, after the new menus, like you said there is only 1 option in each category. There are no more choices, and I mentioned that in my post cruise surveys since the changes. Since I’m not vegan, I haven’t noticed any options labeled as such in the WJ, but there is a gluten free section.
  20. I don’t remember an Indian night. I think I would remedy that because we wouldn’t even go to the MDR. I can’t eat that spicy food.
  21. On our 10 day serenade we saw British night, but not Asian, USA or Mediterranean. We had 2 nights each of Caribbean and 2 Mexican if I’m recalling correctly
