Pre Testing & Booster Shots for Longer Cruises?
MikeD4134 replied to mcrcruiser's topic in Holland America Line
You only need a Booster shot, if your final vaccination of your original series, is longer than 5 months ago. Once you have at least 1 Booster you are considered to be fully vaccinated. There is no time limit on how long ago you had the Booster, except sometimes they want it taken at least 14 days before you cruise. -
When did Pinnacle Grill start charging for appetizer?
MikeD4134 replied to TotallyCruzin's topic in Holland America Line
I was on Eurodam June 22, 2022 to July 6, 2022. Ate at the Pinnacle 4 times, meals were always very good. No surcharges for anything except the Lobster, Cavier, 16 oz. Delmonico Steak and Tomahawk Rib Eye. -
B2B - fill out check-in forms for both?
MikeD4134 replied to DaveOKC's topic in Holland America Line
I reviewed my Check-in for an upcoming B2B cruise and there is not any way to fill out check-in paperwork for the 2nd leg of the cruise. -
Why would you think that the staff cares about where you eat lunch? Also, why do you think being rude to a staff member will get you better results? They always serve lunch in the MDR on embarkation day, Noon to 1:00, anybody is welcome to eat there. No need to inquire if they are open, just show up between Noon and 1:00. If for some operational problem they are not open just grab an elevator and go to the lido.

How do you order at a prepaid specialty restaurant?
MikeD4134 replied to funntheson's topic in Holland America Line
In the Main Dining Room, you may order as much food as you want. 7 appetizers, 5 entrees, 6 desserts whatever you want. -
Let me know if this works. I would think Viking knows who they send Promo Codes and will notice you are trying to use a code that is not yours.

anybody on board the Regal have current Covid numbers on the ship? -
The shareholder benefit has been approved for sailings up to and including July 31, 2023. They historically renew it for 1 year at their annual meeting. Since this has not occurred yet I would keep quiet about receiving the benefit for cruises after that July 2023 date.

HAL vaccination and testing changes again…
MikeD4134 replied to Djb4CC's topic in Holland America Line
Also, if your last shot was more than 270 days ago, you must have a boster to meet the fully vacinated specifications. -
Internet on cruise ships has sucked from the dawn of time. This conversation is ridiculous.

I recently upgraded to a CC Mini Suite from a Mini suite, it cost $1,000 per person for a 15 day cruise. The price price difference is specific to to itinerary, some cost more than others, but if you want the CC Mini Suite book early.

Has Anyone Used a Certificate of Recovery from Covid?
MikeD4134 replied to Miss Picante's topic in Princess Cruises
If you are flying back into the USA at the end of your cruise you need both or a negative test to get on the plane. -
From HAL's FAQ's for Europe. Exceptions may apply for asymptomatic guests who have tested positive for COVID-19 within 90 days of their embarkation if they are at least 10 days past their COVID-19 infection, are fully recovered with no symptoms and produce documentation of recovery from COVID-19 infection. Documentation of Recovery consists of the following: Paper or electronic copies of the positive viral test result from a certified laboratory (dated no more than 90 days ago), or A valid digital COVID-19 Certificate (DCC) or a document issued byan health or government authority showing confirmed previous infection. Guest who present these documents will need to go through a secondary screening at the terminal, and boarding will be approved at the medical staff’s discretion.
