  1. Have you logged into your account on the website and added it? It gives you the option to add a missing cruise, but you do need to have the booking number.
  2. Yes, for a solo traveler it's usually a good deal if you were already planning on getting wifi anyway. Like gmerick, I watch for sales, and when it's about the same, or not much more than wifi, I grab it. The lunch, the dropping off your carry on are well worth it to me on boarding day.
  3. Cutting tips doesn't hurt anyone but the servers. It's not the servers playing games, in fact as someone pointed out, they feel bad. So let's make them feel worse by taking their tips away. That'll show 'em!
  4. Yep, I always have the most wild and crazy luggage to avoid that situation. And it's wild, crazy and girlie--so that cuts down on any guys grabbing it, lol.
  5. I got a refund for mine. Twice. Stormy sailing and they had to shut down the pool area by about noon both days that I had them reserved. The refund was OBC, but the OBC was refundable if I didn't use it all.
  6. FYI, to be able to use the App messaging feature, they need to be at least 13 years old.
  7. That is one of the rare cabins that has sort of a double balcony, width-wise, versus depth-wise. Those seem pretty cool, but it's a hike from back there, isn't it? I had an aft Jr suite back there last summer, I certainly got my steps in. Most of the 'large' balconies are extra deep versus extra wide like 11720, so they can be sort of like a cave.
  8. That probably correlates to the number of suite guests each week. Some weeks the suites may mostly have just two people per suite, other weeks, they may have four. They need to allocate enough space based on headcount of suite guests that may potentially be in the SL during each sailing.
  9. Here's the MGM site. Sign up for MGM Rewards if you haven't already. Then you can call them and have them match your Royal status. They will need your C&A number so they can verify. https://www.mgmresorts.com/en/mgm-rewards/preferred-partners/royal-caribbean-and-celebrity-cruises.html Here's the info from Royal. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/countries/crown-and-anchor/pdf/MGM_Partnership_Benefits_Page.pdf
  10. I have always wondered why they couldn't toss that in on the non-Oasis and non-Quantum ships. Seems like an easy perk for them to offer, especially since those ships don't have Coastal Kitchen and in many cases, the 'suite sun deck' is totally lame, lol.
  11. Also, I think the company that runs the Royal Up Program, doesn't use the correct photos a lot of the time. That looks more like a junior suite based on the windows.
  12. log into the MGM site. You should be able to get $125 in onboard credit. You don't get Diamond status or benefits. https://www.mgmresorts.com/en/mgm-rewards/preferred-partners/royal-caribbean-and-celebrity-cruises.html ETA, all the rules are listed on that link, you need to call a number that is on there and add it either when you book the sailing or looks like within a certain time frame.
  13. Did you read the descriptions of each of the rooms you could bid on before you bid? And then look at deck plans to see what the 'worst case scenario' might be? Some rooms are similiar but in a slightly higher category because of a better location on the ship, or an extra 15 square feet, so you probably don't want to bid on those. Sorry you're disappointed, but lesson learned for next time. I'm sure you'll still have a great cruise.
  14. Why do you think it's obstructed? It doesn't say it's obstructed on the deck plans. I don't think there are any obstructed ocean view balconies on Oasis class ships.
  15. it should be, as long as none of the cabins are a pair with a fire wall between them (and fire doors in the hallway). The trick will also be getting 5 in a row with the right occupany to fit your needs.
  16. Unfortunately, the rules of Cruise Critic don't allow anyone to share info on travel agents.
  17. yes, my point is that if you're not using a freestyle machine, it's not needed. And they no longer leave them in your room now, you need to ask for it at any bar Too many people were just tossing them in the trash.
  18. The Freestyle machines are the only thing the cup is actually good for because the chip in the cup activates the first time you use a Freestyle machine and then stays activated through the rest of your cruise. No other reason to have a cup because if you are getting fountain soda from the bar, they will be putting it into one of the glasses from the bar.
  19. yes--as long as your ship has Freestyle machines, you'll get a cup to use with the DBP.
  20. Not true about Junior Suites. As Ourusualbeach pointed out, it says 'suite' on your set sail pass. It's also listed on the benefits list on Royal's site. I have sailed quite a few times in a Jr. Suite and that has always been the case. Here is the set sail pass for my son's upcoming sailing. He's in a Jr Suite--they don't flag what type of suite you're in, and they board with all the other suites.
  21. You'll love Allure. Are show times open for booking yet? Book them as soon as they show up. And for the Aqua show, try booking it as early in the sailing as possible because it can get canceled due to weather, and if you still have several days left, you'll get another shot at it. You want reservations for Mamma Mia, Aqua show and ice shows. OOPS! see you already did all that, lol.
  22. Last year, we did 5. Did early dining. Always were given at 2 top on the 4 sailings where there were only 2 of us. And got a 4 top for the 3 of us on the other sailing. While it can be early to eat at 5:30, we mostly would have a big breakfast, graze through the day, have dinner, then have a snack after the shows. Worked out fine.
  23. I get that for a lot of people, that's too early. But the OP was asking about getting an earlier MTD time slot. And there hasn't been anything earlier than about 6:30 since they restarted. Perhaps they'll start adding in some earlier times, but I haven't seen anything at all before 6:30 on my 5 last year, or my 4 upcoming sailings.
  24. Pretty much since the restart, MTD has started at 6:30--and sometimes not until 6:45. Because of that, many people who used to choose MTD ended up switching (or trying to switch but unsuccessful) to early traditional (fixed) dining.
