  1. My Doc said at your age it's to be expected and gave me the Diuretic. But I can't go far from a restroom 🤣
  2. That wouldn't stop me and I'm 73! First words out of my mouth when I fell and hit my head in Ft. Lauderdale last December was..,..."Oh no, they won't let me on the ship!" But they did, I wore sunshades and nobody noticed the huge hematoma dripping down my face! I didn't even go to emergency. Yeah yeah, I know...foolish. Nothing happened at all on the cruise, except we got a lot of weird looks.Give it time, she may feel great in 30 days. And there are free wheelchairs at all airports and you can order one from Special Needs at RCCL for arrival, rent one to go on ship if needed or just buy her one of those knee wheelers. I'm sure with determination it can be done. You Mom sounds spunky! BTW, I just bought my very own electric wheel chair, if I'd been in it in Florida I wouldn't have tripped.
  3. Not in Texas! Cotton Eyed Joe more like. Welllllll, they do the polka over at Schulenburg. LOL
  4. It's called "Attitude"...makes all the difference. If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Maya Angelou
  5. Well, all our favorites are still there, if they taste the same we'll be more than satisfied. I have never been picky about food. I pretty much like anything. Other than being disappointed in the quality of steak, like at Chops, we've been happy. Not going to Chops anymore, we'll get our steak at Giovanni's or Park 150.or pay the $17 for MDR's, that's a bargain.
  6. I need a menu so we can plan our 3night dinner pkg to coincide with the menu. I won't want to do Mexican, (nothing they make compares with San Antonio TexMex anyway) and I don't care for curry so no Indian night, I'll do the rest, but I need to plan. Can anyone help?
  7. I've already budgeted for Starbucks upcoming Allure. Not worried. I do Cappuccinos.
  8. I'm not very picky either, but our last cruise on Odyssey was exceptional especially the food, but we haven't cruised on the new menus. We'll have to see if things change or if the new menus area really as bad as others think. Food is not our priority for cruising in general so I'll still be happy but I'd rather enjoy it than not.
  9. Yep, we bought the special Cactus stuff that is supposed to stop that, but we've never gotten any such rash and never used the stuff. And we've been there many times. Go again in Sept
  10. But what I want to know is how many points end up getting you an invitation to cruise free or how much money do you have to invest before that? I always cash out with almost any win, last time was only $59. So I'm a casino chicken! But we have heard so much about casino cruises we thought it might pay off???? Que'???
  11. Yep, this is the rub. Our daughter same. She's listed Diamond plus with like 30 something points on her own. I think it's cockamamie!
  12. I've seen current reviews, i.e. Quantum to Alaska on Youtube by a great reviewer and he complained about the food both MDR and Windjammer. Lots of unhappy cruisers out there. I have every confidence that RCCL will be forced to capitulate on quality. And in time we'll be back to better menus. After ICON we're back to Celebrity on new Assent...may have to be our go to.
  13. I am intensely interested in the Panoramic Oceanview cabins new category. The one we wanted with the Xs in the windows which we thought were closest to the Aquadome deck 14. But couldn't book it for 2 😡 Hoping we can switch after she gets here if they're not all gone. Looks like they are in this picture to the bottom right where the curtain hangs. Fat chance though as the cabin we booked an interior has already increase almost a $1000 for us. We booked it at $1186 pp and its' now over 1700. Boy am I glad I jumped on it in Oct.
  14. I never did get one on Grandeur. We sat in the centrum for ages waiting to see, but no joy. Even pestered the Loyalty Ambassador about it, but still never did. So we went to our assigned cabin to dress for dinner...boohoo.
  15. I am an ACD peep and I so love when everything matches...love that color.
  16. They were sparse on Odyssey but I found them every day in 270 cafe. YUM
  17. Not even....made fresh every day right on board. Take a galley tour, they are fascinating. They took us to the proofing room where ALL the baked goods are made and the rolls are proofed. Many folks swear they are frozen...not.
