  1. It is not the same one, but it might still be affected if the entire hillside slips, as some engineers fear.
  2. Sorry to laugh, but there have been discussions on this. 🙂 If the children have stats through their parents, they get their free drinks. The question was, can an adult use that child's card to get an alcoholic beverage for themselves. It went pages and pages.
  3. Their website is up. Call them and ask. https://mistybaytoursalaska.com/
  4. I'd love to see the Solarium (our first cruise to have one, back in the day) and the The Tavern on deck 4. That sounds like a good resting place. Enjoy your cruise!!!
  5. It's been awesome! Admittedly, my favorite was the first back in September, with 25% occupancy... 🙂 We've taken three since then have been very nice. Staff has been helpful and cheerful (although not as obviously thrilled to have us there as in September), facilities have been clean, food has been nice.
  6. There is no place you will go, most likely, that will have a trail with so few people that bear spray would be necessary. They will give you the advice ("Hey, BEAR!") about what to do if you spot one, but unless you are going off on your own to a little-used trail somewhere, it's not common. Just be aware of your surroundings and talk a lot so no animal is surprised when you show up. Have a great time and get lots of photos!
  7. Thanks for the review, have a great time. The only ports from your itinerary we'll have on our cruise next month are Arhus and Visby. We can't wait!
  8. Each gets an envelope, if you choose to tip above the automatic gratuity. We tip $20 each for the week. What is different from when we started to cruise is we have stopped tipping the Head Waiter. We never see him.
  9. Ships have a maximum occupancy. A friend was a pub singer on board a ship, and planned to have her sister join her for her last week. She was going to share her cabin. Alas, it was not to be. The ship was full to capacity, so full that CREW could not take up any extra lifeboat space.
  10. I'm on a B3B. The first one got accepted after 3 weeks. I just checked and the second one has been accepted (about 3 weeks) but the third one has not been, after two weeks. So in my recent experience, it takes 3 weeks.
  11. I'd have to see something more conclusive than that.
  12. How do you figure that? Did I miss a salary decrease for staff?
  13. I agree that this was not announced in advance like it normally is (and mine was page 9). But you won't be harming RCI or Mr. Bayley by refusing to pay it.
  14. What was it before the increase? That's what is under discussion. In USD, it will be $63 more than before.
  15. There are a couple right at the pier at the train station, which is a short walk to the cruise port.
  16. 45 days, at midnight at the port where you're sailing from. So for a Copenhagen cruise, it was ~7 p.m. the day before. 30 days out is when the e-docs are available on the Royal site.
  17. It is indeed interesting to see how many people are upset about an additional $21 per cabin for a 7 day cruise.
  18. Our first cruise was supposed to be on Sovereign, and we had been saving our pennies to pay for it. I had been writing my checks for $5 over at the grocery store, for months, and had secretly purchased $500 in traveler's checks. A month before the cruise, our house (and town) was flattened in a hurricane. We sadly decided that we needed to postpone - but we seriously thought about still going. 🙂 We lived off that $500 for the first few weeks since our local bank was also destroyed and we had no access to our account. A year later, we rebooked on the same ship, same itinerary. Our cruise credit paid all but a couple hundred dollars, and our TA upgraded us to a Deck 8 oceanview from a lower deck interior because 'you deserve it'. It was amazing.
  19. I'm doing B2B. August 21 has the $14.50; August 28 has the $16.00 Good catch by the OP, since I hadn't read that deep into the documents that were released today!
  20. I'm paying thousands for a week-long cruise; I'm not going to argue over an extra $20 in gratuities. Rushing to pre-pay to save yourselves such a small amount is, in my opinion, a bit silly.
  21. Correct. They will look at the date, the result, and your name. If today is the 29th, the test will be accepted on the 27th and the 28th - but not the 26th.
  22. If you have two devices, you can just scan the page that has the QR code on it, without actually printing it out. Even easier.
