  1. Ok, we are the same. I just go by how many hours since I read last to find those threads. And there might also be a topic started since the last I read that I find might be interesting.
  2. That assumes one reads every thread. I don't think there are enough hours in the day for me to do that for all the cc forums I read.
  3. If He Had To Live In A Country That Wasn't The US, Here's Where Rick Steves Would Choose (msn.com) by Leslie Veliz
  4. Same here, but there was one time it really did matter. Our port was Corfu (on a HAL ship), and there were 3 ships and only 2 dock spaces. We were on the ship that ended up having to tender. And the seas were a little rough, and one person although being helped by the tender crew fell and landed on his elbow. I shuddered to think what would have been my DW's reaction if that had been her as she had once broken an elbow and there was a plate in it and was still sore to the touch.
  5. In 2022 we attended the Willie Nelson Outlaw tour at Bethel Woods, the original Woodstock site. Willie was at the top of the bill, ZZ Top, was listed next, and then Luke Bryan. There were also several more groups, but we did not intend to be there all day and got there during Luke Bryan's set. Lots and lots of fans actually left before ZZ Top and Willie Nelson, so it was the opposite of people leaving for the old guys like Willie and Keith. On the positive side, it was a sold out concert, and getting out of there is usually impossible when the place is sold out. (Same summer it took us hours to get home from Santana even though we are under half an hour away.) But for Wille, so many left that it was no problem getting out of the parking lot and even less once one reached the road.
  6. Yes, I am sure most if not all of us, look for the number of hours since we read last as the starting point to begin checking out which threads might be of interest. That was lost in the experimental layout of the forum.
  7. We made this our easy port with no excursions. We took a long walk to the most Northernmost botanical garden in the world. DW is going through a lot of ink printing the pictures.
  8. We saw Earth, Wind, and Fire at Bethel Woods (the original Woodstock site) in the summer of 2022. They opened for Santana.
  9. I think you were just unlucky. On our second cruise, we ran into a hurricane and could not get back to Fort Lauderdale for 2 days. (We did hit all our ports.) At one point, the Captain took us closer so that passengers could get cell service to call home, their TA, and/or their airlines. Things were pretty rough, but there was never a call like you posted above. They did eventually close the swimming pool. Before they did, it looked like the ocean with waves. And there was one person swimming, a person who never misses a day swimming in the summer, my DW. 🤦‍♂️😉
  10. And there was no widespread negative reaction to that change. It is not changes that people oppose automatically, only changes that seem to make no sense.
  11. Would you please report back on the travel show. DW said yesterday at dinner that we should have taken the bus to the city and gone there.
  12. So many other things to discuss such as what you did that day or have planned for the rest of the cruise. A BIG NO to any political discussion.
  13. In honor of the topic What's going on, I give you Marvin Gaye. what's going on song - Google Search And in another version, Playing for Change always does classic songs well
  14. I once had a Jerry Garcia shirt that I wore until there were just too many holes in it. It was manufactured by a company Not Fade Away that was owned by a local. He was actually a good friend of one of my younger brothers, and also his father had been my little league coach. Sometimes, someone would look at me when I was wearing that shirt, and ask if it was me. I would say no, my eye color is different, my hair is not gray (now it is), and most importantly I am still alive!
  15. And a great majority of the regular posters are applauding.
  16. Yes, sanity it seems has prevailed. The failed experiment is gone. ✌
  17. Actually, the Grateful Dead tee shirt I was wearing was a recent birthday present from my wife. She bought it at the Museum at Bethel Woods. Bethel Woods is the venue where the original Woodstock festival in 1969 occurred. One of the singers from Syd's came over and said they were her favorite group. I related where I got the shirt, and told her a Woodstock story. She said she really enjoyed the story. The Bob Marley tee shirt I wore earlier in the cruise was purchased in Jamaica on a cruise in 2013.
  18. Do tell the story, if not here, find another place we can all read it. 😊
  19. And now it is Saturday all over the United States, and the terrible new format is still here. 😒
  20. We had a private tour in Alesund, Norway. I had some Euros left over so tipped our guide with Euros. If my Euros were all gone, I would have used dollars.
  21. Glad it all worked out, and nice to hear how helpful the port agent was. And another good reason to have passports even when the cruise does not require one. Yes, you would have all got home, but all of you having passports made that much simpler.
  22. Since we were booked on the Prima, I asked about the Prima.
  23. That is it in a nutshell, no wasted words. 😊
  24. What is all this Seinfeld stuff? I saw his high school senior yearbook picture (Massapequa High School class of 1972) in my DW's senior yearbook. If he is supposed to be so cool, why didn't he know the prettiest girl in his high school graduating class? I do realize it was a very large school, but still if he is so cool how is he not aware of the prettiest girl in the class?
