  1. As long as BIG GAV stays away from the RCI Cougars he would have time to do all the things you suggested old son.
  2. Chili, which MDR does Big Gav eat in, or does he dine with el Capitano? Perhaps he dines in the 'Food Jammer' sorry 'Wind Jammer' lol.
  3. Cheap as Chips, did Noordam in mid 2019 - Sydney to Honolulu. Good cruise and I liked the ship, Vista Class ships I like.
  4. I have double Creme Brulees every night with a side serve of icecream, good sugar fix Geoffrey.
  5. I am coeliac (celiac in American) Sabatinis did gf pasta for me as did the MDR's. Over the years I also got to go to the Most Travelled pax lunch a couple of times, let them know beforehand on the RSVP I was coeliac, they looked after me gf wise. Great service on Princess, did my 21st cruise on Princess in September.
  6. Premier Inn is ok, stayed there and ate there as well as Holiday Inn. Some decent pubs in town for a good feed and a pint or three.
  7. Geoff, the reality is the crew don't want confrontation with pax. Bravo to the pax who speak up, as you said.
  8. I would have to sign myself into rehab for alcohol poisoning on return, but then again I could go see Dr Bob and Bill W daily.
  9. Slightly off topic but still bumpy seas. My son, his wife and two teenage daughters are currently on Ocean Victory, one of his company's vessels to Antarctica, they encountered 10 metre seas through ye olde Drake Passage which is not unusual. Calmer waters at the moment in the ice.
  10. Nuts used to be banned, but these days sealed packs are usually fine. We have good nuts here, buy them locally before you embark.
  11. You would have to win the lotto to do the full Worldie Sarah., BIG bikkies.
  12. Yes, way to go. Your worldie is not that far away - May. We did half worldie on Arcadia, Sydney to Southampton, via Africa in 2012. It was great but 49 days was enough for me.
  13. US$10 cheap as chips, but I bet some pax still had a whinge, lol.
  14. Fair enough Julie, but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and get on those infernal flying machines to see new places.✈️🚢
  15. To experience the more interesting itineraries of lines like HAL you really have to get on the aircraft, fly to the Americas or Europe and start your cruise adventures there, so much to see. I just cannot understand why people do the same old cruises every year, South Pacific, NZ etc. Standby for incoming, lol.
  16. Excellent information again Chief Cheng. I have read many of your technical posts over the years.
  17. At least Princess is still giving it to us, but for how much longer?
  18. Buchalm, Great reporting, entertaining but some major catering issues there on Eclipse.
  19. And of course in the 👮‍♂️I had many a skirmish in Sydney back then with the anti conscription/anti Vietnam War protesters.
  20. They could be sued for negligence, like failing to have clean hull before arrival in NZ/Australian waters.
  21. Holy Moly and it is basically a cruise to nowhere. The compensation could send Viking broke.😬
  22. Unless you are one of the 'Speshul people' like a select few on here, whose names will not be disclosed in order to protect the innocent.😁
  23. I do, I was in the Nasho lottery in 1968. My birthday marble did not come out but I was exempt anyway having just done 3 years in the British Army. The policy was if you had served with other Commonwealth forces you were exempt from Nashos here. But I did 6 years in the CMF (Army Reserve) anyway.
  24. Bon Voyage Linda and Mario, now remember no shorts and T shirt on formal nights on Cunard or you will get the stare from the Brits, lol.
