  1. Perhaps the Carnival brands take more care or are more responsible than RCI etc. Standby for incoming, lol.
  2. A nightmare, Qantas has lost the plot. The last times we flew overseas we flew Air NZ to USA and Cathay Pacific or Singapore A/L to Asia or Europe. They were very good. I do not know why people still fly on Qantas, is it the safety record? Certainly not the service, food and comfort.
  3. On the subject of hot cross buns, OMG what has happened, the world has gone mad !! Hot Cross buns made with cheese and vegemite in Coles.
  4. If you are interested in Antarctic history, visit the Mawsons Hut museum on the Waterfront.
  5. 4% card charge on Amex, probably Diners Card too. Probably why many merchants will not accept them. ANZ Visa Debit Card all the way for me. Only card I have these days. Universally accepted.
  6. The red carpet is cleaned and ready to go. and the cougars await...enjoy your cruise Chili.
  7. Princess is marking up the Willowglen by almost $50 a bottle. Totally over the top in my opinion.
  8. Correct Julie, it was De Bortoli Willowglen range, about the same quality as Markview Range, commercially sound.
  9. That would be the Mcwilliams Markview Range, $8 in Dan Murphys, $16 at my golf club and it was $55 or so on Coral Princess in Sept or $9 a glass. Drinkable, just.🍷 Yes, the Markview was the cheapest on menu. So Grand would have the same pricing.
  10. Well Cunard is also in the Carnival stable so policy should be same across all their brands.
  11. That would make the Cunarders boil lol. So if we wear that nice mask, singlets, shorts and thongs would be acceptable for dinner on QE, QM2 and QV? 🤣
  12. Same here Lyle giving billions to other countries and somewhat neglecting their own citizens. Also like 🇨🇦 Canada funding and staffing issues in the health system.
  13. Cutting out skin cancers is a money spinner for The GP @ $300 a chop in drs rooms.
  14. Good idea Lucy, I can contribute with my experiences. I have been a medically diagnosed coeliac since 2010 and been on several cruise lines. They all cater quite well for gf if they are given notice but the gf person has to play their part too by asking questions at the buffets etc. I will check out your site, although my cruise career is drawing to a close due to health. Well done.😀
  15. Good luck with your procedure Lyle. Over here many GP's cut out the Melanoma's in their surgery rather than referring you to a plastic surgeon. I have had 3 taken out by my GP in the past 3 years. big chunks arms and chest. My GP does his cutting on a Monday, he calls it 'Melanoma Monday Monday, lol.' He would do a dozen or more victims on that day. So Lyle, remember on your next cruise, stay away from Melanoma Deck (the sunny one.)
  16. Welcome to CC. Yes, as has been said, roll call way to go.
  17. Cruisingmarmi..and when you walk up to town there is a nice bakery in the middle, you have to sample a genuine Aussie local meat pie, lol.
  18. I bet there is a line up then at Guest Services, removing gratuities.
  19. Eden is not far from me, 3 hours, been there many times. Small town, uphill from dock., about a 1 mile walk. No local buses from dock to town. Ships run the shuttles like you said. In town, couple of supermarkets, pharmacy, liquor store, pub, banks, etc. A Welcome Centre dockside (pictured)and a few market stalls selling handicrafts etc on cruise ship days. Meeters and greeters will be there, suggesting things to do. I doubt if there will be independent tour operators there, but there might be. Whale watch tours also go from that area. They are good. Is NCL offering shorex? Might be a good idea for you to see around the area.
