  1. With your reaction to the lurgy, If I were you I would put my cruise lanyard in the bin and say goodbye to cruising forever.
  2. Jack Daniels and Coke, is one of my favourite tipples.
  3. 😂 Cor Blimey, did not not know about the secret signal to attract the RCI Cougars, lol.
  4. Thanks Linda, pity about the cruise not being 100%, sad for the Brits. I am battling along.
  5. Sorry for the loss of your mother in law. My sincere condolences to your family. Take care.
  6. You were lucky on Luminosa. Carnival Splendor and Queen Elizabeth are listed as tier 1 today by NSW Health.
  7. Perhaps most Cabin Stewards' have Stewart as a christian name? 🤣
  8. Agree, $50 for the convenience or Taxi/Uber would not even get you a bottle of overpriced plonk on board the ship, lol.
  9. These days with Covid in various numbers on just about every cruise ship, it is a personal decision whether to go and risk the consequences or not go at all. This scenario might be with us for some years yet. Certainly, some cruise lines treat their impacted pax better than others. I would have thought Cunard would have looked after their pax better than Barry Bazzaw described. Barry, you and your wife get better soon.
  10. A lanyard is part of the cruise uniform, lol. Yes, many Brits and North Americans do not wear them. Pocket or handbag job. Princess gives you a free lanyard.
  11. In hindsight concert should have been cancelled in the morning to avoid the transport nightmare. Poor planning, did they not have a contingency plan, I wonder?
  12. Auckland Airport closed too, couple of international flights from Dubai and USA turned around halfway through flight.
  13. State of Emergency. Sounds crook, Elton John gig was cancelled.
  14. Correct, I have been to De Bortoli at Griffith a couple of times, seen the bottling, the commercial wine Willowglen comes from the same source as the Sacred Hill range, 4 or 5 dollars a bottle in Uncle Dan's. So Princess can buy it at the same price thus making $50 profit on a $4 bottle of wine when they sell it for $53 or so on board. Outrageous.!!!!
  15. Washed down with copius quantities of your favourite brew, Nel.
  16. No, Lions Club and Rotary. $5 a snag sanga. Scouts organise the flag raising. I don't think Eurobodalla Council put in a cent, they are tightwads, too many pot holes to fill. Great day for the beach, 30C.
  17. Happy Straya day to all our viewers. Have a good one. In Batemans Bay there is a big bbq and flag raising, not many down there which is a worry.
  18. If people stopped buying at those stupid prices Princess and the rest of the cruise lines might wake up. If they charged say $25 instead of $55 for a $6 bottle of plonk like Markview or DeBortoli Willowglen then they would surely sell more?
  19. Did Concierge Class on Celebrity Solstice to NZ some years ago, balcony cabin just behnd the bridge, nice ship but Concierge was a waste of money in my view.
  20. Only been on one Royal Class ship like Majestic. That was on Royal Princess in Europe. Not a fan at all, no real promenade deck, too many people, too much space wasted on retail. Problems at tender ports with so many pax, around 3500. Give me the Grand class or Coral any time.
  21. Problem with fly/cruise packages is that the tour operator or cruise line will often pick the cheapest flight, the best deal they can get with the airline/best commission.
