  1. Thank you! I am going to see if my PCC can help with this. You peeps are great, I already feel better!
  2. This sounds good. I actually started with NCL but can't get to where I can book a shuttle until I can check in, which is not until 21 days before. So maybe I will just cool my own jets and wait until then.
  3. Bird, thanks for posting this. A lot of good information, as well as photos! You are really adding to my excitement for my Prima February cruise. I saw that the Donna Summer show is on both sea days. QUESTION: Do you suppose I can figure that for my cruise as well? Trying to plan my dinner reservations. Thanks and keep on enjoying!
  4. My head is spinning (and I wish it was from frozen drinks on a cruise). I have been googling everything from Uber to GoPort to "how to get from Port Canaveral cruise terminal to MCO" and I am getting a headache. I can't seem to find any definitive info. Part of the problem, I guess, is that we just need transportation from the terminal to the airport, not round trip. I have read everything from "Uber doesn't have that many drivers in Port Canaveral, so you can't rely on pick-up from there a certain time" to vague references as to when a more public shuttle would actually LEAVE the Port since they "wait until every last passenger has disembarked", to going through the "pretend booking" process for GoPort and cab companies that stall at the "can't find my ship" point (Prima does not come up). Ugh. Our flight from Orlando MCO airport leaves at 12:30 pm. Waiting until the ship is fully disembarked does not sound like a good option. Can someone help me figure out who/what to book? As long as I can have it set in advance, I don't really care who/how. I would prefer a non-shared ride just due to logistics and wanting to be sure we get to the airport on time for our departure. I don't want to book something the morning we arrive back at the port and just assume we can get a ride in a timely manner. I know Uber does not prebook a pick-up at an airport. But can I prebook a ride from the port TO the airport? And how the heck will I know when exactly I will be able to be outside waiting? I have to say, nothing much about cruising to/from Port Canaveral has made logistics easy...but where the Prima sails from is where I want to be this time! I need a frozen drink.
  5. Have a GREAT time! Take a sneak picture of Sid's face for the Tribe.:-)
  6. This is a good idea, but probably only for me. Chances are my husband won't want to stay up until midnite. But you never know--I will keep this mind. Thanks so much.
  7. Oh boy! I will be "with you"! I will be on the Prima in February so this will be extra fun for me.
  8. What sort of info should I have at the ready at midnite (if I can actually pull that off, ha ha)? My last cruise was the week before they pulled all the cruises due to Covid. It feels like ages! And I can't really remember what the check in info includes. Name, address, phone number, (driver's license and/or passport number?), DOB...what else? And what do they need photos of, I can do those earlier to have them ready. You all are such a great help!
  9. Oh thank you, all! So all the online check-in info (names, address, age, passport numbers, etc) is no longer done UNTIL 21 days before, now. That's new. Do I need to download the NCL app on my phone for any treason?
  10. Hoping someone can help. I am reading different things about how you get your boarding times. I think maybe some of the info has been from when they were still in full Covid procedure and that is what is confusing me. We are cruising out of Port Canaveral end of February. Am I supposed to do something, be proactive to get our boarding times? And if so, how and when? Thank you!
  11. Sardines... um, well I am almost embarrassed to say I used to love sardine and mayo sammiches (on Wonderbread of course, the good stuff) when I was a kid. Those little tins with the curly key thing. They still have those? I could not really bring myself to eat them now, though. Blech idea.
  12. I'm here and ready to roll with you., This bar crawl sounds funnnnnn, too!
  13. We had a Silver Cove Villa just before Covid hit (and have booked one again for February). I would not worry at all about ":traffic" in front of your villa. It is a very quiet place with lots of space. I don't think one person walked in front of ours when we were there.
  14. Yes to needing Villa or spa appointment. It's a fun little bar with HUGE pours of Moet (I actually could not drink it all!).
  15. Yeah, it feels creepy to me to tip someone up front. Just not comfortable with it. But everyone should do as they feel is right,
  16. I always bring a bag of mixed mini-chocolate bars and Hershey's kisses. They LOVE them. I leave a few out each day for the room steward (and the butler if I', in the Haven), give some to friendly bartenders, then leave the rest for the steward. They all brighten up getting them! P.S. And of course I tip them with $ as well! For me, based on how helpful/friendly, etc they were.
  17. Never had a problem in NY, either. They'd take one look at your papers and immediately send you to Haven.
  18. Hmmm. I guess it's the late show then! The Haven restaurant is likely the same. We will; be wild & crazy one night!
  19. I notice that one of the Donna Summer shows was at 6:30. Which makes me ask How early do the restaurants open for dinner? We probably won't want to eat as late as 8:30 (old farts) but the early show sounds good. Can you eat before 5 to make a 6:30 show?
