  1. Also, if you call your butler late at night for room service, it usually (in our experience) will be picked up by "regular" room service and they will deliver. The butler does get some time to sleep, apparently. 😉
  2. Sometimes it's good just to let it be known how you feel. Most people don't. They just get annoyed and spew to other cruisers they travel with (I am in both camps here, depending on my mood, lol). If more upset people let the managers know they are upset and why, things could change.
  3. "Just Because" is exactly why I'm doing it too. I hear ya, girl. 🙂
  4. Thank you. Good to know. He is not into being online much when on vacation, but if his kids need to ask him something I know he'd like get back to them.
  5. The stress thing is so true! Excellent advice! Then last time I posted regularly from the ship (or tried to) it became so frustrating I had to just stop for awhile. This time I have vowed to just expect that and NOT let it get me annoyed! Vacation is for fun!
  6. I agree to some extent. But some people (like me) enjoy posting trip reports from the ship. That can't be done on 300 minutes, especially since as large chunk of those "free" minutes are waiting for the internet to actually send something!
  7. I remember well how slow and frustrating the WiFi is...but I like to post on CC an ongoing trip report so I got the unlimited and hubby stuck with the FAS minutes. When he runs out of minutes, if he needs to send an email (which I doubt, but it could happen), is there a way for him to use my minutes on his phone? Not looking to scam the system, I'm just wondering it it would be possible and if he would just log on in my name on his device or if he'd need to use mine to do it.
  8. Yes I cruise end of February and I received my email about 3 weeks ago.
  9. Always love the "limited time" part. I have been sailing NCL for probably 20 years...limited time, my behind!
  10. Do you need flight info if you booked your own flights?
  11. Good point, thanks. It does sound like it could be iffy in any case. Which I never realized until this thread.
  12. From things I have read,it could be a real problem..if it leaves from the US and returns to the Us, there can be a problem embarking in a different country. You probably should not take advice from anyone here because it all sounds a bit confusing. You need to contact someone (who knows what they are talking about) at NCL. Which I’m not sure you will get at their customer service number. Or do more research than I just did…good luck.
  13. My husband always wears black jeans, black sneakers and a polo shirt and considers that "fancy" enough. He has never been barred from any restaurant.
  14. I always enjoy the shows. Very much. Are they Broadway quality? Well, no...but they are really good and the entertainers work so hard, I'd never even try to compare them. They are high-energy and fun.
  15. I have read that people have cancelled the Vibe pass. Call your PCC or the concierge number (if you have no PCC). I think there's a number for excursions, which might work as well. Or cancel on embarkation day.
  16. Does the Getaway have a Garden Villa? I didn't think it did.
  17. Once we arrived a bit too early and the closest lot was still too full. They just sent us to another lot and we walked maybe 3 minutes from that lot to the entrance. No biggie.
  18. I think it will be worth it. And that's not really about the price, because that is subjective. But traveling with someone not in the Haven is not the best scenario, for either of you. When I am in the Haven, I am really in it. Most of the time, anyway. Of course I don't always eat dinner there but other than shows, dining, casino and window shopping, there's no good reason for me to leave the Haven. Especially since it is so expensive. I think you might want to spend time there too. But if you are traveling with a family member or friend who is traveling without a another non-Haven person, that can get awkward. I'd say bottom line, it depends on how much time you want to spend enjoying the Haven, and how OK your non-Haven family member is spending time on his/her own. If the expense is not a huge deal--I totally recommend you all three be in the Haven.
  19. This has been my experience too. I never bother anymore. I will, however, try booking restaurants through them since they emailed and called me to let me know they would be happy to do that. At least with that, it will show up on my cruise docs so I will know it has been done. Hopefully correctly...
  20. Such a great "Live From"--probably your best! I enjoyed your cruise with you. I laughed, I got pissed (at someone putting you down), I even got a little teary eyed once or twice. You rock, Mr. Nipple Ring, o' Defender of Chogged loungers!! Safe trip home and happy dreams tonight. Xo
