  1. Those spaces are perfect for everyone who complains that there aren't quiet, private places to sit and read and relax on E-Class ships. As you can see those spaces exist but go unused. Of course people would rather complain that there aren't places like that than seek them out and use them. There's both darker and more secluded spots and bright, amazing aft view spaces all in the same area .
  2. You neglected to mention the Terrazza Cabins (replacing Havana) will feature upgraded linens and an exclusive morning continental breakfast and seaday brunch. No pool but two hot tubs as substitute.
  3. Some key points summarized. *Guys Burgers will be added but with some new items and a revised decor. *Alchemy bar WILL NOT be on the ships BUT there will be a mixologist bar concept with some of the Alchemy Bar's cocktails. *Cucina WILL NOT be on the ship but there will be a new Italian Specialty restaurant that hasn't been revealed yet. *Javablue is going to be on the ship on the Lido Deck. *A new frozen drinks venue will be on the Lido Deck ^The new Terraza category cabins outdoor terrace will have two new hottubs but no pool and a special exclusive continental break fast and seaday brunch. *There was a screenshot discussing minibars in all cabins.
  4. You're better off going to the Casino Cashier.
  5. Yes, you need to have a thermal suite pass. There are, however, complementary saunas located in the spa/gym locker rooms that are available to all passengers whether you have a thermal suite pass or not.
  6. Agreed. When I read that I was going to say that definitely something that's mandated fleet wide in the least.
  7. There's no Celebrity ship that has reservations for any entertainment, it's first come, first served.
  8. Oh boy, I failed in reading comprehension, carry on!🤦‍♂️
  9. I'm not sure what you were implying with your statement. I've never been denied a table for two on ANY Celebrity ship in ANY dining room. Period.
  10. *Update the whole buffet area. It's extremely dated tacky decor. *Reupholster all theater seating. *Remodel the atrium and most of the public spaces using the template established with the Alchemy Bar installation. Remove all the sliver urn-looking doodads and all the extra wood moulding. If you look at it it's ridiculous. There moulding on top of molding on top of molding. If you see what they did with the Alchemy Bar area they did just that - removed all the silver urn decorations and removed 3/4 of the wood molding. The Alchemy Bar still retains the darker brown tones but in a more contemporary and modern look. *Total remodel of cabin bathrooms
  11. I think the poster is referring to the theater on Deck 1 below the main theater and is misremembering it's actual location.
  12. During the Revolution update they took the original women's spa/gym locker room and redesigned it to hold both the men's AND women's locker rooms. The men's locker room was removed to add more cabins. The new locker room is tight (Admittedly the previous locker rooms, with the great windowed saunas, were larger than needed for that size ship) but has all the necessary features;lockers, Individual stall showers, toilets, sinks, and a small, fully glass enclosed sauna. Yes, it holds about 4 comfortably and six squeezed in. It's still free to use for all guests.
  13. No, not the Pride. I'll be on the Celebrity Apex in July for Iceland, Ireland and Scotland. But will be on the Carnival Luminosa in September for the 30 Transpacific Japan cruise from Seattle to Brisbane, Australia.
  14. What do you mean by that? what kind of 'room' were you put in? I've never ever heard of that. Done plenty of B2B with Carnival before and since the restart, never heard of that. Can you elaborate? Yes you have to all assemble in a particular place. but then depending on the CBP at the particular port they either lead you off the ship as a group once they zero out all the previous cruise guests, do passport check, then bring you back and give you your new keys and you're free to roam the ship. OR they bring the Border agents on the ship to check your passports and then get your new keys, never leaving the ship. If you have the same cabin you're able to go back to your room, or if you have to change rooms you're at the mercy of the cabin attendant if your new room hasn't been finished. In any case I have never heard of any cruise line not allowing B2B passengers free range of the ship - until 2pm? They start boarding the new passengers around 11am. So new passengers get to go about the ship and B2Bs have to be in a room? What you're saying doesn't seem to make sense.
  15. What do you mean by "fun" times? I see you're mainly a Royal cruiser. The vibe on Celebrity is decidedly different. It's a much more laid back cruiseline. It's a 'make your own kind of fun' cruiseline. What exactly are you looking for?
  16. Wait are you saying there are inside rooms with only upper bunks? I've never heard of that on an E-class ship.
  17. I was on the Pride in Europe this past May/June for 32 days. Here is my thoughts. *There's no body lotion provided and no hair conditioner. *The main dining room for was barely passable, and sometimes inedible. For example, the lasagna served was the size of a brick and looked liked a burnt meatloaf with dried cheese on it. It was truly inedible. *Guys burgers, the deli, and pizza we're very good. *The buffet food was OK. In the morning there were occasional issues with food being hot. I enjoy having oatmeal/porridge for breakfast and it was never hot, just lukewarm (every morning, in both locations it was served) *The buffet is in very poor condition and needs renovation. There are these blue light fixtures that are supposed to look like waterfalls and all they look like now is worn- out broken plastic. *Loved the Steakhouse, excellent food. *The theater also needs renovation. I saw many ripped upholstery. *You're allowed to bring back wine from the various ports of call. *Alchemy Bar is one of the nicest spots on the ship since it was a newly renovated space. *The casino was totally updated and has new slot machines and table games. It's always a busy spot with lots of energy. *For the most part the ship is kept cold. If you enjoy that, you'll be very comfortable, otherwise you'll need to wear a sweater or trainer. People actually wore their outwear coats inside the ship throughout the 32 days I was on the ship. *Despite sailing from Dover there weren't kettles in the cabins. You can get hot water from the buffet, so it would be good to bring your own flask to fill up with hot water for your cabin. *The tea selection was abysmal, even if you wanted to pay extra at the coffee place. You should bring your own teabags. *Dress on Elegant Nights were a mixed bag but most men didn't wear suit, and almost no one wore tuxes. You are certainly welcome to buy you will be in the very minority. *Despite departing from Dover the passenger mix was mostly Americans. Maybe 15% UK?
  18. Premier and Elite are special hosted casino cruise offers. They are special designated cruises that will have various casino events only for those booked on these special cruises. Elite cruises are the top offers. They include Freeplay, drinks everywhere for 2, either free port transfers or free port parking, a free port excursion for 2 or Spa credit, gifts and other freebies. You cannot ask for these offers nor are there transparent tiers you much attain to receive them. There are obviously proprietary/internal tiers you must attain in order to receive these various offers. https://www.carnival.com/casino/carnival-players-club
  19. I'm afraid this seems to be correct. In the cabin videos I've seen the spot where it would normally go, next to the desk, is a cabinet with shelves. While they could possibly convert that cabinet to hold a fridge if it's not the right depth and/or there's no electrical outlet to plug it in it's not going to happen. Asians and Europeans are not as concerned with beverages being cold. In fat for the Chinese it's just the opposite. Cold drinks are bad for you healthwise and hot drinks are better, the thinking goes. You'll see Chinese people drink HOT water at meals instead of room temperature or god forbid cold water. One positive is the glass shower door instead of curtains. And the fancy bathroom sink and vanity.
  20. Spain would be an exception. Eating out in Spain is actually less expensive than a similar meal in the US.
  21. You will lose the $200 deposit, but get back the port fees and taxes. Definitely not as good as Celebrity or Royal.
  22. I don't ever remember getting a notification from the app, didn't happen on the Beyond last month. I guess I'm looking for information regarding self walk off and when that starts.
