  1. I just got an email offer for complimentary concierge stateroom.. with many sailings to pick from AND it includes Classic Drinks Package and Basic WiFi ... just pay taxes. Just booked Edge 10 night Caribbean in April total cost for two people $331.70 US !!! First time one with drinks included so very appreciative and that it's a veranda (infinite but I don't care). I sailed Edge before with BCC offer (pre pandemic) but it was an inside cabin and room only so this will be a treat. So maybe the well is not fully dried up.
  2. I have been saying that for years. It's almost as if Celebrity is trying to maintain an image of 'class' and a true pub wouldn't fit their style. Sorry to burst their bubble but at least one lowly beer drinking, pub food eating person has snuck on board a few times already 🙂 I love O'Sheehan's for cozy no pretense atmosphere as well as the ability to sit and get a bite of pub food anytime. There are some folks that would say that if that is what a person wants then go on NCL but we all know there is more than one factor that goes into how we choose our cruise. Craft Social seems to be their attempt at this but it feels more like a cigar bar to me that is uninviting and to have to pay for the food there sends a message too.
  3. LOL ... are you expecting them to take them away ?
  4. Update ... this morning mine appeared so happy happy. Odd how the points are updated, especially the person who had 1 first then changed to 5, maybe quality control caught that 😉
  5. My travel partner and I watched the webinar together using the same join page, put both our club numbers in just like having done few time before, she got her 5 points, I did not. Hoping it's just taking it's time but I will not be a happy camper if I don't get them! First time ever had this happen, fingers crossed.
  6. Took pictures everywhere. Bug Naked even made a cameo appearance on the bridge, this was on the Equinox (2018) early in her journey to fame 🙂. So unless they have become more restrictive, enjoy capturing it all.
  7. I really hope that all this discussion ends up being nothing more than an interesting thought and that the buffet remains for dinner/supper or that any changes made have considered the impact elsewhere and changes made elsewhere to compensate. As I read all this it makes me think of the challenge of designing and maintaining roads and highways. Change one road and see what happens to traffic nearby. If something is happening on one road I could say oh well I don't go that way so it won't bother me but it doesn't work that way, just watch how the road you do take is suddenly at a stand still. Even reduce a road by a lane and it spills over. Changes have a ripple affect. I go to the buffet (or counter service) for all meals, it is rare that I go to the MDR ... choices. In short time spans, reduced choices along side rising prices is hard to reconcile even though it is understandable. In the end vacation travel also comes down to choice and it might be whether cruising continues to check the box for me .. BUT I LOVE IT SO MUCH! .
  8. I really hope this is just a rumor and the buffet will not be 'fully closed/removed' for dinner service, this is my first choice for dinner and this would be a major loss. I wouldn't find it so bad if they had more random 'included' walk up venues to order food like some other cruise lines have, this would give options other than the MDR or paid venues. This seems so bizarre to me for them to flood everyone to the MDR. I really cannot imagine this actually happening but who knows what drives decisions ...though we know money is always in the mix.
  9. Exactly the reason I believe the FAQ is suspect and misleading. The non-alcohol section of the Classic package verbiage (when you select for purchase within a booking) is also suspect; I don't believe they intend it to be the same as what is included in the Premium package. I say give it a week or so and it will all be fixed or hopefully at least say the same thing everywhere 🙂
  10. I find this all so sad, this thread along with all the the others related to the confusion around the drink package changes. Sad because Celebrity is 100% the source/cause of this. I still have a hard time being convinced that the Classic package would not continue to include sodas, premium coffees etc. Rhetorical question but why would anyone pay 89.00 a day for that ... OMG NEVER. If I was ever on the fence about 'cruise only' vs AI, this would put that to rest as I would never pay that if the package dropped the non alcohol items that have been included in the Classic to date. At this moment, the only place that this still seems to be confusing/different with regards to the Classic and what it includes is in the FAQ ... oversite?? There was a moment in time (last week during all the changes) when the non-alcohol drinks were suddenly not mentioned under the Classic package when you selected it for purchase but it's there now, that said it's the same as the Premium verbiage now... oh my ... come on Celebrity. If there isn't the proper staff to do all the proper changes to all reflect properly then perhaps wait until after the holidays to muck it up. If they were going to distinguish a package that is 'included' as part of an AI booking vs a Cruise Only booking and someone paying for the Classic Package separately, one would expect they would name them differently ... UNLESS that is what is going to happen. Maybe starting January 1 an All In booking will include a different dummied down package?? Still seems a stretch.
  11. Yes that's how it's been for years now but, if you've been following along, who knows what tomorrow will bring 😉
  12. I say this 'some' confidence that the Classic will include coffee, tea, water, soda What seems to be in question now is whether that non alcohol drinks include Evian, Pelligrino, Red Bull type drinks that were only ever included with the Premium but seem to now all be included for both alcohol packages. You will not have to upgrade.
  13. Okay I just looked at mine again today and now mine has changed again to match what you are seeing, zero proof included section under the classic AND premium are the same for both my booked sailings in 2023 (Apr/Nov) ?? I actually use this difference as benefit of upgrading and now it would seem the only thing that would change is the alcohol type and the price limits. Very interesting if this is right and not just an IT website oversight (that keeps changing). Very odd though that it 'seemed like' it might be right last week but now it definitely shows the zero drinks are the same no matter the alcohol package you get .... what a mess of confusion that could be avoided. Change management 101.
  14. Oh really ... I hadn't heard about changes coming. Be interesting to see. I notice they extended the earning period again to December 31, 2023, so another year.
  15. Will be first time in Las Olas area. Cruise was just booked this week for April which put booking the hotel later than I like and boy oh boy are prices high and many sold out. I also wanted to use airmiles points so that limits it a bit too but this hotel was on my radar before so time to finally give it a try. I looked for The Riverside as I seen this mentioned before but it does not appear for my time frame, it did before so guess supply is low. Thanks for the reassurance. Looking forward to being in a more walkable area for a change.
  16. I posted this on another thread... this is what i see for each package for my sailings next year. Classic: ($89 per day) Non-Alcoholic: Nonpremium bottle water, Premium coffees, Juices, Sodas, Premium teas Premium: ($109 per day) Non-Alcoholic: Premium bottled water, Acqua Panna water, Evian water, San Pellegrino, Premium coffees, Juices (fresh, bottled), Red Bull, Sodas, Premium teas, Honest iced teas, Matcha teas, Vitaminwater Zero Proof ($30 per day) Refresh with premium bottled water from Evian, Perrier, San Pellegrino, & Panna, Specialty Coffees & Organic Teas, Red Bull Energy Drink, Frozen Smoothies, Zero Proof Cocktails, Coca-Cola selections, offerings from Vitamin Water, and Bottled Iced Teas.
  17. How did you like this hotel? How did like Big City Tavern? Did you like staying in this area and was it easy to walk to nearby places? I have stayed at Hilton Marina last few times I've sailed out of FLL but booked this hotel to change things up.
  18. I am just reading on the Celebrity Blue Chip Club site that they have extended the earning period (again) another year to December 31, 2023! Maybe this was done a while ago but first I am noticing this. I have not cruised since Covid but going in April next year and was sad that I would lose my current status but reading this I assume my status would also remain with this extension. Hopefully I assume correctly! It's at the top of the page here. Casino Cruises: Luxury Casinos at Sea | Celebrity Cruises
  19. This is all so disheartening for those of us Halagonians who have the WestJet card for the companion pass. I was recently pricing flights Halifax to/from Ft. Lauderdale and seeing the 'best' of the reasonably priced options return flight was first flying to Calgary for a stop over ... come on. Fort Lauderdale to Calgary 4,762 km Calgary to Halifax 5,162 km vs Fort Lauderdale to Halifax 3,462 km Guess it will be good bye WestJet Edit to note that my distances are driving so not flight distance but it still paints the relative picture.
  20. They have finally updated all the package descriptions when you look for a booked sailing. Here is the non alcohol verbiage under each, a piece that was missing earlier this week. The Zero Proof package is actually there now too. Classic: ($89 per day) Non-Alcoholic: Nonpremium bottle water, Premium coffees, Juices, Sodas, Premium teas Premium: ($109 per day) Non-Alcoholic: Premium bottled water, Acqua Panna water, Evian water, San Pellegrino, Premium coffees, Juices (fresh, bottled), Red Bull, Sodas, Premium teas, Honest iced teas, Matcha teas, Vitaminwater Zero Proof ($30 per day) Refresh with premium bottled water from Evian, Perrier, San Pellegrino, & Panna, Specialty Coffees & Organic Teas, Red Bull Energy Drink, Frozen Smoothies, Zero Proof Cocktails, Coca-Cola selections, offerings from Vitamin Water, and Bottled Iced Teas. .
  21. Look at this thread, it's a good one to follow as there is always someone with the link as they come along for those that get missed in the emails. Post # 5868.
