  1. 7 Nights on Beyond in January I paid: ($15 -10% Classic CC discount: $13.50) x 7 Nights + 18% service charge = $111.51 What it would cost today: ($20 - 10% Classic CC discount: $18.00) x 7 Nights + 18% service charge = $148.68 Note: X says it adds 20% service charge to beverage packages but the computer system is only programmed to add 18%, another mistake by Celebrity's IT department.
  2. Thank you to the person who spotted the change in the FAQ's a couple days ago. I was able to upgrade Friday night for $111.51. If I had waited until today it would have cost me $148.68. That savings will pay for my embarkation lunch in Le Grand Bistro.
  3. I upgraded last night from classic to premium. I would expect the upgrade price would increase $1 to $2 per day but since I was going to upgrade anyway I went ahead and did it before the price increase. I'm also expecting drink prices across the board will increase $1 to $3. Will see tomorrow.
  4. At land based casinos that offer free cocktails to active players I always tip $1 or $2 to the cocktail waitress. I would do the same on the ship in the casino.
  5. I went ahead and upgraded to the premium beverage package today before the price increase. I got my 10% Captains Club discount (only a classic member) but they didn't let me combine that with the 9% pre-cruise savings. They did, however, only charge me 18% gratuity. I'm a solo sailor so I had no roommate forced to upgrade.
  6. I agree with your first paragraph but what makes you think some of the liquors will be switching from the classic to the premium package? Inside info or just a guess?
  7. I'm on Beyond in January going to St. Thomas. We are there from 7:00 am and have to be back onboard by 3:00 pm. Given the short time window I'm going to John Brewers Bay beach, only 2 miles from the Crown Bay dock. The only downside is there are no chair or umbrella rentals and no cocktail service. It's supposedly has a much more undeveloped, local feel to it. That's exactly what I'm looking for. It should be much less crowded than any of the beaches named because the ships don't run shore excursions to it.
  8. I wonder with the price of the classic and premium drink packages going up, will the daily upgrade cost to also go up. Currently, it costs $15 + 20% gratuity per day to upgrade on the ship. (it's slightly cheaper to upgrade pre cruise $14 + 20% gratuity per day or with a captains club discount(10% -15% off). The classic package will cover drinks up to $10 and the premium package will cover drinks up to $17. I would expect the price of drink if purchased a la carte will rise by the same amount.
  9. Don't trust that schedule. I'm sailing on Celebrity Beyond berthing in St. Thomas on Thursday January 26 and we are not listed listed at all.
  10. I doubt X will cross-examine you to determine if you "just decide not to drink" as opposed to sober (recovering alcoholic). They will just make either person purchase the Premium Zero Proof Package.
  11. I'm a solo sailor so I follow this topic pretty closely. As has been pointed out above there are Edge Solo cabins on Edge class ships and a few solo cabins on Silhouette. Most of the time solo sailors just have to pay a supplement. Last summer Celebrity ran a zero single supplement sale that a lot of us took advantage of. I'm hoping they will do so again in the future. Long time Celebrity sailors said the solo sale was an anomaly so they may have run it to help raise occupancy rates on their ships. On my other cruises I have booked I just reserved the cheapest inside cabin and paid 200% of the double occupancy rate. I'm not in the cabin enough to care about it, the ship and the itinerary are the most important thing for me.
  12. I cruising on Beyond in January. I booked my cabin at the end of July total cost with All Included and $100 OBC was $1323 during the Solo Sailor promotion . Same cruise today would cost me $2927. I'm feeling pretty good right now with my deal.
  13. Celebrity clarified that the $9.99 WiFi upgrade is "per device per day" not "per package." Good luck to all those purchasing it before the wording change, will be interesting to see if Celebrity honors the original ambiguous description. I decided not to try taking advantage of the deal because I don't care enough about WiFi access to bother.
  14. Not the best picture but the only one I've found.
  15. Thank you for posting the daily planner. I'm doing the same itinerary on Jan. 22, 2023 and love to obsessively pre-plan everything. I wonder if port congestion in Puerto Plata will affect my cruise, I hadn't heard of any issues with the two previous Puerto Plata visits Beyond did earlier.
  16. I just booked an Alaska cruise on HAL. I could easily cancel if I wanted since I only put down a $25 deposit for Cyber Monday but none of the itineraries beat what I currently have booked and the closest comparable cruise would cost $430 more – not worth 5 Captains Club points.
  17. Still looking for pineapples.😇
  18. Select your upcoming cruise and click on the Plan my cruise button. Select the Dining Menu. Scroll down to Le Voyage if it's present. I'm on the Jan. 22 cruise and Le Voyage was available to book until about a week ago when it disappeared. if it's not showing it may be fully booked for pre-cruise reservations. If that's the case, make a bee-line to the M`D as soon as you board and see what's available. Good Luck
  19. That's exactly what I did, I booked and PAID FOR two nights in Eden and two nights in Le Voyage ahead of time. Celebrity has had my money for months so I don't feel bad if others lose out when they wait until the last minute then expect to book the prime time spots in the hottest restaurants.
  20. I was able to cancel and rebook a shore excursion for next month and saved $15/person. Took two minutes.
  21. Location on the ship mainly. Also slightly larger, 181 sq. ft. vs 202 sq. ft. on Edge class for instance
  22. I'm on Beyond in January and was able to book Eden twice and Le Voyage twice. Not sure if I'll keep all four reservations but I knew if I waited or tried to book a multi-night package, I would be shut out. The Cruise Planner is showing no availability in either restaurant now.
  23. Interesting, the menu in the app is slightly different than the menu in the photos above but since the photos were only taken a few days ago I think they are more authoritative. I booked Le Voyage twice for my January cruise but may cancel one. I also booked Eden twice. Glad I did as both are now showing sold out in the cruise planner.
