  1. Should I be concerned that I was able to sign into my Celebrity account this afternoon on my first try? Usually takes a couple attempts.
  2. Does this surprise you? FWIW the Boston Hop on Hop off charges $40 with pick up and drop off near the pier. No idea about NYC but . . Shore excursions go on sale close to sale date if not fully booked.
  3. Other lines have done Europe to South America and I had the opportunity to do it a couple times courtesy of my Uncle Sam many years ago. Generally light winds and calm seas.
  4. You will unfortunately not know what is being offered until after you board. From our past experience likely to have at least one generation old on board. Would plan on using OBC elsewhere.
  5. If you have the $$ for an expedition cruise that us the way to go. Just remember as was said the Falklands are a 50/50 coin flip.depending on weather and while cruising past Antarctica is wonderful; remember weather can be anything from incredible sunshine to 40' waves. The Antarctic cruises are very popular and many "unavailable " cabins will be in TA Group blocks. The month doesn't matter. Only if the weather gods are working for you.
  6. Nor sure how we got specifically to Catholic, but there has often been a notice in the daily planner about a service on Sunday. Have had priests, ministers and a rabbi. Definitely hit or miss especially if Sunday is a port day. Probably 1/2 of our cruises
  7. Does that mean you cannot get a drink or? If so would sort it later.
  8. Also put your ship name and cabin number on a piece of masking tape and stick to your bag. Saves problems when the Princess tag tears off.
  9. Simply when you are in the US use an ATM to get some $USD. Far cheaper for exchange. A bank charges about 10%+. On board you will need no cash. Most shops in tourist areas accept credit cards. You should have no need for Mexican Pesos. They are always happy with $USD. We live a few miles from the border. Never use anything except credit card from stores and a bit of cash for street vendors.
  10. We called Princess customer relations and they added the cruise. I unfortunately took 4 months to show up on my account. They required the info listed above.
  11. One person can be changed. You need to do it through your TA, CVP or Princess. There could be a charge and it could get really confused. Definitely needs to be done as soon as possible If refundable deposit certainly easiest to cancel. Absolutely positively do not do it online. If with Princess tell them while on the phone you need an email confirmation while you are on the phone, then check to see it is done right then.
  12. The difficulty with EZAir is if there is a problem (that 1% of flights) you must go through them to get things sorted. For example your ticket likely cannot be changed to another airline without EZAir involved. A bit more complex Also the consolidators often gave strange routings and impossible connections. A neighbor was given a 30 minute connection in Dallas-Fort Worth. Missed his flight. That required more changes and 4 more flights and a bus ride! to finally catch up with his cruise in Costa Rica 5 days later. EZAir agent from outside the US did not know several much better alternatives.
  13. As said flights are not available for usually 330 days out. Occasionally 360 days and some airlines 180 days. Do understand that EZAir is a consolidator and if things go sideways you might have complications in that many EZAir tickets have lots of restrictions. BE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND ALL T GG E TICKETING RULES. Also whole EZAir will assist you in getting to your cruise, they are not an airline and do not guarantee your timely arrival. Check fares on your own direct with the airlines. If EZAir gas a significant savings book with them. Fares the same, book direct. And #1 fly in the day before your cruise. #2 make sure you have adequate connection time. Many "legal connecting times" mean you will likely miss your ongoing flight.
  14. I usually receive between 8-10% in a fare reduction or extra OBC.
  15. The ship uses facial recognition to zero out the passenger count. What you did not see was the camera used by Immigration that matches faces with their data base.
  16. My statement went to junk mail. Always Get a hard copy both midcruise and the last day. No.lines usually just before dinner.
  17. The pier is in SFO - downtown. Walking distance from Fisherman's Wharf.
  18. I had it happen to me when I had to reset my phone. Simply deleted the app. Reinstalled and setup from new. Provided my email and chose a password. Really fast. Just had to verify with the code from a text message. Easier than fixing the broken app.
  19. If I have a drink package Is there a reason I would care if fully covered with my drink package? Completely agree server's taking cabin numbers creates misapplied drinks but faster service.
  20. Am not aware of a new policy. Wish you well. Some Celebrity gift "cards" can only be redeemed for new bookings, some for payment pre cruise and one for buying onboard OBC - that is not refundable according to the website.
  21. Think you made a similar post at least yearly for about 25 years. Lol.
  22. Had a relative with an emergency notification needed. Simply called the reservation number, provided the ship and booking number and was put thru to the ship. There are easier ways but that worked. The Celebrity website as said - too many do not read stuff - has everything you need.
  23. As an Arizona resident I love cruising the West Coast. The choices today are pretty much short 4 day cruises out of LA or week long to Seattle/Vancouver. Mexico with level 4 violence ratings is not possible except for Ensenada. Santa Barbara has limited port calls. Monterrey eliminated large ships. SFO made it too expensive on port costs to do an overnight. Ships are required to cruise slower to help whales. Astoria has limited docking. Bottom line is the short get away cruises marketed toward a younger crowd don't match Celebrity demographic. Fewer ports and no variations. Until or unless Mexico comes back things will be quiet.
