  1. There are dozens of one way cruises. I would suggest calling your TA or Celebrity. Several TA websites have a search function to find cruises leaving your desired port. Sorry that mentioning them is not allowed.
  2. Recently on both Apex and Constellation. Blu was totally packed on both with a few suite guest getting into Blu for dining early or very late. Did not like Blu on Apex. The area felt like an afterthought. Very noisy.
  3. If you reply to an old post doesn't it move to page 1? Have seen some posts that started years ago with new replies
  4. Since covid I have made 2 requests to downline. They were refused. Made the request as required. Told only if I miss the departure because of a flight issue could I join later. Leaving early - told simply no. On West Coast cruises many of us that live near Victoria BC would prefer to simply disembark there instead of several hours drive/ferry or an expensive floatplane ride. They used to charge $45 or so. If you miss the ship could others in your party notify Celebrity you had a problem? When they check in or shortly before. All sorts of reasons to miss a flight.
  5. Which package? Minibars have a selection of beverages and you pay as you go. Top suites come with a couple 750ml bottles of liquor you choose if that is what you are referring to. In a suite that includes a premium drink package that means free drinks at any bar I would not be buying more booze to replenish the bar. You can also purchase bottles and set up for any cabin.
  6. Just let them know. I carry a folding cane I use for going down stairs or up or down ramps/escalators. Just tell a port host and someone makes walking on board easier and safer. The usually take me first at checkin and have me wait for boarding until the rush subsides.
  7. Anyone here read novels? Most authors including several best selling fiction writers in their comments at the end of the novel state to not write them about spelling or grammatical errors because someone else will have already written about the error. A local author said she strives for zero errors. Has never ever gotten there. Usually one or two errors and a couple hundred readers let her know about every one.
  8. Sympathize, but putting your FACTS to Celebrity in writing before you cruise will sometimes result in credit. We had a special one off cruise for the 100th Anniversary of a WWI battle. The day AFTER final payment they announced that nobody would be allowed to attend the on shore memorial service. The rule was made by Turkey and not Celebrity's fault. Some 500 canceled and price dropped from $3K to 1.5K for the cruise. I sent an email to the executive office with a screen shot of current and my payments and an explanation. Ultimately 1 canceled and rebooked with the penalty reduced from $1500 to $200.
  9. Congratulations. The metal in various parts of my body makes security checks an adventure. Went to carrying a letter (which I often forget) and emailing a copy of the letter to myself and saving bit to my phone.
  10. Not sure there is one recipe. Have found it to vary as to the ingredients (varied cheeses) and the amount of meat for example. Have an upcoming cruise? I would ask on board. They always provided me any I requested with a qualifier that each chef does a bit of their own thing.
  11. The reasons include any maintenance needed on one side of the ship, weather that could be different when departing vs docking, time schedule and lots of others. I park away from stores so that I can simply pull through. Lots easier and I get a tiny bit more walking.
  12. Just do not get sick in Antigua or hopefully any other port as boarding a plane to get home would likely involve getting a passport via the embassy. I suggest looking up the requirements for each country so that if a disaster strikes and you need to leave the ship at a foreign port you are prepared with the country requirements and contact info for the US Embassy. It was a mess when I became ill in Australia and could not travel home before my visa expired.
  13. On my upcoming TA this fall. $100 from Celebrity and $600 from my TA. I get either a group fare with refundable deposit, small OBC and fare about 8-10% lower or lots of OBC. Obviously depends on cost. Your post is confusing as you say you think no TA OBC and then how much OBC from TAs. You already know.
  14. Have returned to port shortly after leaving twice. Medical issues both times. No announcement except to say we were returning to the harbor for a short stop. The emergency harbor craft that met us told the story.
  15. Relax. You could be assigned a cabin today or tomorrow or not until the day before your cruise departs. The longer you wait the more likely it will be an upgrade to maybe a veranda. Lots of veranda cabins. You will absolutely positively be assigned a cabin.
  16. No different from a TA with 6+ sea days. Lots of activities like trivia, contests like putting and game shows. Or just relax.
  17. Always possible, but our two move ups were accepted 4 days and 2 days before our cruise. Fingers crossed.
  18. Have seen Aqua cheaper than Verandas and Sky Suites cheaper than Aqua. The problem with doing a check now is fares and promotions are all different. Yes you can move your booking to Celebrity but if you are in a group block on your TA booking make sure nothing else changes. Anything your TA provided you would lose. Moving from one TA to another TA? I tried and was told no. Worth a mock booking with Celebrity followed by you comparing. Then asking Celebrity. If you are before final payment can you change cabin class?
  19. Luggage valet in Phoenix handles a few thousand bags a month. A rated with BBB. And to answer your question a couple complaints. They are an excellent company.
  20. If you are flying domestically not an issue. Using your passport it could be a problem. Presume the other person is Lin Smith? This a question- if you are near an airport would take your passports and ticket paperwork and have Delta fix it. #2 is call Delta and see if they will do it over the phone. Likely for a international flight. I struggle as my first name is the letter W and it gets reversed or combined with my middle name. #3 wait and do it at the gate. Just give yourself a bit of time. I would not bother dealing with EzAir as it is already ticketed. Hope this helps. PS - I only use EzAir or similar if a significant savings as their tickets are often very restricted.
  21. The decision to require ticketing for seat selection varies by airline. It is not secret. If EzAir was a travel agent they would be required to know and disclose the fine print. EzAir is NOT a TA and their employees are not certified Travel Agents. Ticketing rules are complicated. Delta has over 50 fare classes - each with different rules and restrictions. Where we agree is that EzAir should be required to provide ALL rules in writing at the time a reservation is made. They are not required to do so. It falls upon the buyer - right or wrong - to go to the airline website during the 24 hour cancelation period to read and understand (yeah right) the rules. You can disagree with me or not. The OP stated what happened.
  22. You can look at my posts elsewhere as there are multiple threads asking almost the same thing. My answer as one that lived and worked in AK is take a cruise out of Seward. Lots to do there including Exit Glacier. At least 2 nights. Nothing in Whittier. Start in ANC and spend a week to Fairbanks via Denali and return or do the loop.thru Tok and Glenallen. Just my 2 cents
  23. To the OP really simple answer using an example. DW and I organized an antique car tour driving across the US for 55 couples. 28 nights at 20 motels/hotels and included all breakfasts, 20 lunches, 6 dinners etc. We organized the event as unpaid volunteers. At the final banquet and along the way we dealt with petty problems every day that each couple decided to have us handle. DW in tears often. After the event received 5 notes. 3 thank yous and 2 demanding a refund for meals they missed. Human nature to complain publicly, but not give thanks.
  24. Any perks from your TA generally do not become available until after you board. The reason is you once they send the $$ to the cruise line it is done and you could cancel.your cruise. The only way to do book this now is to pay for the reservation then do a cancel rebook IN PERSON once you are onboard. That will avoid any mess up. Thus calling Princess will not help.
