  1. Mary229 - Congratulations on your retirement! 🥂😊 Thank you for posting that Dollar Tree sells first aid kits. I stocked up on some and put them in my luggage. I had in the past packed OTC meds and bandaids, but first aid kits are a good thing to have. I'm not traveling anytime soon, but it will be one less thing to worry about when it's time to pack for my next cruise.
  2. Ruth C - You're right! The doctors will never know what we ate because it will be our last hurrah! I would request some champagne to have with my Dover sole and I'll have 2 chocolate souffles (with whipped cream) instead of one! 😊
  3. A Bloody Mary (or two) Pea soup (Dutch Cafe) Croissants (Lido) Dover sole, French fries, asparagus ( Rudis) Chocolate souffle
  4. Jacqui - Thanks for your updates. I'm so sorry for all you have been through, but I'm glad you had a top orthopedic surgeon in PV and did not have sepsis. I'm praying for you. Jose is very proud of you and he's watching over you. I'm glad you will be home today. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Betsy S.
  5. Thanks to all for your answers. I appreciate it.
  6. Miss G - Do you know if it's $60/day per person for a longer cruise (35 days)? TIA
  7. Jacqui - I am so sorry to hear this. You are in my prayers and I wish you a speedy recovery and safe trip home. Jose is with you in Spirit.
  8. Bon Voyage🥂😊 Thanks for your reports and great pics. I'm so glad you have a library with lots of books! That's great!!
  9. When I was on the Niew Statendam in August for 24 days, I was at the Photographers' Gallery. I asked the photographer when the next dressy night would be. She didn't tell me when all of them would be, but she told me when the next one would be a few days in advance when I asked. I agree with others who said it's usually on a sea day and never the first night or last night.
  10. Jacqui - Thanks for all your reporting and great pics. I wish you the best of luck with bingo and at the casino!!😊
  11. Hank - I agree with you about the physicians' notes. It is a slippery slope. Seniors are not the only people with health issues. Younger people can have medical problems too, as we know.
  12. Bon Voyage! 🥂😊 Thanks for your great reporting. Have a wonderful time.
  13. Jacqui - I agree with you about the staffing issue. In my experience, the crew always work very hard. In your case now, there aren't enough of them, like you said. It's not their fault. Have a great day.
  14. Jacqui - Congratulations on the big win! 🥂 That's a great omen for the year ahead! 😊 Thanks for posting your wonderful pics.
  15. Jacqui - Thanks for your pics and reporting. Sorry about bingo yesterday, but glad you had luck at casino. I wish you and your friends a Happy and healthy New Year!! 🥂😊
  16. Crew News - Thanks for all your great reporting. I wish you a Happy and healthy New Year! 🥂😊
  17. Jacqui - I hope things will improve for you from now on. Good luck with Bingo the next time you play! 😊
  18. Jacqui - Your lunch looks delicious and the flowers are pretty. I agree that trays should not be left in the hallway and I was surprised to see that room service delivered paper cups for coffee. Have a great night.
  19. Crew News - Thanks for all your reporting and for letting everyone know that carrot cake is available by special request. Good to know. Glad your laundry service is top notch. When I was on the NS in August, the turn around time was quick also.
  20. Bon Voyage to all and Happy New Year! 🥂😊 Roy - Happy New Year to you too!!!
  21. spleenstomper - I'm happy for you. You made the right choice. Itinerary is great. HAL does a wonderful job.
  22. Crew News - Bon Voyage! 🥂 I'm sorry you didn't get the right cabin and the other glitches. I wish you smooth sailing from now on. Thanks for all your great reporting! 😊
  23. spleenstomper - Congratulations! You will love it. My stepfather and I went Boston to Montreal round trip in 2018 on the (old) Rotterdam. We had a great time. Happy New Year! 🥂😊
