  1. Thanks ! I just checked and so are ours.
  2. Fantastic ! Just one question, by « starting Sept 25 » does that mean I can only order after then or does it mean I can order now for any cruise after that date ?
  3. We were in the Med in early May which I bought would be relatively less tourists. Most locations were busy but not more than I would have expected. The worst locations were the Acropolis, where getting through the Popylae gate was a crazy bottleneck both arriving and leaving though the actual Acropolis was not bad. The Vatican museum was ridiculous- a race through crowds and galleries - no time to stop to look at anything. But the rest of our Rome stop wasn’t bad. Oia in Santorini was wall to wall people and we walked down the donkey trail because the cable car line was humongous.
  4. Not sure if you have the option to change anything at this point but if you do, consider using Luggage Forward to get your checked luggage sent directly to the ship and fly the day before with as little carry on as you can manage. It is expensive but it greatly reduces the hassles with large amounts of luggage. Then, as suggested above, stay at a Heathrow hotel and perhaps take a Princess transfer or National Express bus from the airport the next day. I’ve never done used the Princess transfer so I’m not sure if that’s a possibility but it would certainly be worth checking out.
  5. On Royal Class at least the priority tendering is different than the elite priority tender process. The concierge escorts you from the concierge lounge directly to the front of the tender line.
  6. Is the Moxy within walking distance of the Princess Cruise Terminal in Southampton if you only have checked luggage (small backpacks) ?
  7. No - the other two legs were very long days with late and large lunches (Rome and Athens) so didn’t feel like much for dinner anyway. Otherwise we would have asked why it wasn’t offered.
  8. We just got off a 21 day Barcelona to Barcelona suite trip booked as 21 days. We got a mini bar service each of the 7 day legs (and canapés). We only got the champagne and specialty dining the very first day of the cruise not the start of each segment.
  9. Last year, the Medallion app handled a s2s on different Princess ships with different booking numbers as a single voyage with a single app « boarding pass » for the first voyage. Caused us a bit of grief when boarding the second ship. The same thing happened this fall but we were just moving cabins on the same ship so no big issues. Unless this has been fixed it might be possible for a family to properly complete the boarding information for a first voyage where greater than 6 months is allowed and not have a b2b or s2s second voyage flagged properly despite an inadmissible age of an infant.
  10. I was excited to see UBD offered again and booked (and of course paid for it) in the website. I did print out my travel summary before we left since that appears to be the only proof you have that you have paid. I phoned guest services this morning (we’re currently on the Caribbean Princess) because I had booked for tomorrow and hadn’t heard anything yet. Seems they don’t offer UBD and had no information that I had booked it. I had to take my printed travel summary down to (hopefully) get a refund to my OBC which I then hope to see as a cheque sometime in the next month or four. It may just be this ship, but you may want to wait until you are on board to book UBD just in case.
  11. I agree it should be repurposed. Printers and help could be added to the photo shop area responsibilities to help those with problems or printing needs. I also think the photo area could be reduced in size if it’s true that you can look at and order your photos on the medallion app now.
  12. We’ve been on that first cruise after a TA before (2017) and boarding started around 2pm - very long line of people waiting before that. Once started we moved very quickly though. I think the ship left on time around 5pm ish though. We were told the difference in. Boarding time was due to the Coast Guard requirements for a ship docking in the US for the first time after being outside the country.
  13. We were on Carribean cruises on the Enchanted and Sky last fall - I’m not sure how they differ from the Regal/Royal. The smoking area on those ships (despite capacity of 50% or less) was always packed during the morning and afternoons at least. That deck, the outrigger bar, the small aft pool and the outside buffet area always smelled strongly of cigarette and cigar smoke. We tried but could not use those areas due to the smell.
  14. The Princess web site indicates freshwater pools not salt water:
  15. If it’s an ITV, it could be a new season of The Cruise which spends most of the time behind the scenes - it’s about the crew not the passengers. You can view that show on YouTube - search for « The Cruise ». I think, but not sure of this, that the New Love Boat is a US show not an ITV (UK) show.
  16. Yes - for me my specialty, coral and palm reservations show up in the app but not the island reservations. On the web all show up.
  17. The app may have been blocked from seeing the Island data either on purpose (for some reason) or accidentally with whatever the weekend maintenance work was this past weekend. I hope the latter because all the remaining Coral and Palm private table availability looks a little too late for us to eat especially if the recent reports of slow dining service holds true for our cruise.
  18. For the person who asked re web version, you can access that through your cruise personalizer for the cruise. I haven’t added a photo before so hope this works.
  19. I was wondering about that possibility. Though I would have thought closing the Palm (tucked away at the back of the ship) would make more sense - if I’m not mixing the two up of course.
  20. My Island dining room reservations are also gone from the app but still appear on the web based version. Also on the app if I try to make a new reservation the Island is not one of the choices. May just be a data issue with the app (hopefully).
  21. We tried it in Nov 2021 because we had OBC to use. The service as mentioned above was great. The food was meh. I wouldn’t go back even with « free » OBC. I found that, with this restaurant, Gigi’s, the huge photo location (why if everything is digital now?), and the Salty dog replacing Vines, the various levels of the piazza are no longer a great space to hang out. Too much of the space is given over to restaurants ( and the weirdly large photo area ).
  22. I’m not sure of your concern. While a PCR test may still show up positive for a while and in some people weeks after recovery, a rapid antigen test tends not to show positive after full recovery. So you should be safe to follow the rapid antigen route - either proctored or in person. You can always try a self test antigen to be sure.
  23. This is probably a silly question but we’ve never done a b2b with a cabin move before. We are moving from a regular non-club class non-suite cabin to a suite on an upcoming b2b. For anyone who’s done this before, on the turnaround/move morning are we allowed to have the Sabatini’s suite breakfast before we do the turnaround border control requirements ? Or do the suite benefits start once normal boarding commences ?
  24. One the one way from Quebec how does the US border/immigration work ? Do we disembark and everyone go through immigration at the terminal ?
  25. I’m on one of the Carribean Princess Canada/New England cruises as well and checked - starting with the first cruise out of Quebec City (Aug 31) to the Oct 20 repositioning cruise to Fort Lauderdale every single cruise is marked “currently not available”. I’ve tried finding out if Canada has capacity restrictions but can’t find anything. Does any one know if/what those restrictions might be ? Otherwise I find it hard to believe every single cruise is sold out.
