  1. Pandemic aside, do you have statics to support "leaking money like a sieve?" Because their revenue actually looks pretty good. What does it matter what someone thinks about what someone enjoys? If you are embarrased or ashamed to tell someone you are going on a Carnival cruise, that is a personal issue. Also, just a note, NCL's recovery model was not reducing prices to get people cruising. Did you see their latest earnings report.
  2. Really? Because that's pretty much what you just said. Alternatively, Carnival could keep the price point the same, allowing people with a lower vacation budget to enjoy a cruise, and those wishing not to cruise with such inept low-class can pay a higher price point on one of the other cruise lines with their preferred clientele.
  3. Booked Horizon Havana Interior 5208 for November 2024! ABC itinerary! I'm so excited for this trip! Unfortunately...it's 610 days away lol. Fortunately...we have 3 cruises booked before that. 😁😁😁
  4. I'm assuming any booked occupants of this room were relocated.
  5. Agreed, I would put a big disclaimer YMMV.
  6. I want to believe you! But in November, 800 only got me an instant certificate for $200 off. You're certain it's an interior? Just curious.
  7. This happened for us last year, but it was right after we booked our annual tier benefit certificate, and I wondered if that had something to do with it. It took a while, but we started getting offers again. We currently have 4-5 active. To note, I did use the "not getting offers" link in the clubroyaleoffers.com, and they said the emails were linked to multiple accounts and address, and did some housekeeping, and then we got one or two crappy offers, but I think it took about 4 or 5 months before we got anything good.
  8. Pretty sure most PVPs don't love casino offers, at least the free* ones because they don't make any money on them. That said, yes, a good PVP should still be able to help, but doubt there are any specialize in casino rates.
  9. I would second that the loss of the port probably has a lot to do with the availability.
  10. This has been my experience lately. For quite a while now, my C&A says error can't be displayed right now. Our tier points usually show up about a week after. Haven't sailed since November though, so not sure if there is a current glitch, but I want to say shortly after that, the C&A error started showing.
  11. What?!? Have you seen the White Heat Nightclub?? Or Bar Blue? Or literally just about every location on the ship! Lol, but I mean, that's what I love about her. 😆 Sidenote, we actually just got married on the ship in Bar Blue, so I'm definitely a lover, not a hater. But come on, that ship is far from ordinary lol. 😃
  12. My favorite ship! Just cruised on her February 5th - 12th, a great cruise, lots of fun, and mostly chill. Interested to see how the spring break crowd shakes it up!
  13. Most of the info I have seen says medical emergency... And that it's since left again...
  14. Just curious, it sounds like you got a solution that works for you (yay!), but if noise isn't an issue for you, why opposed to connecting cabins? I know some people say to avoid them at all costs, but that's really the only downside to them, is the noise. And even with that said, I've had one on a couple of occasions, and never had an issue. Unless you snore like a bear and are trying to spare the passenger next door...😄
  15. Yes, kind of. Cheers will be charged to Sign & Sail card, and any OBC will be deducted from the total spending on the account.
  16. Not sure if your plan to book a second room really hit the company hard. The casino comp rooms are forecasted ahead of time, with a certain number of rooms. So if you hadn't of booked that room, another casino comp would have, not a full-revenue paying passenger. Not sure if Carnival is really mad about it. If anything, you filled a comp room for them, just as planned. I've heard the whole "we both have the same offer, can we both have the drinks" is pretty hit and miss, but I've had great experiences talking to the casino host onboard. I'm sure it depends on the host, but the people I've worked with have been very pleasant.
  17. Just my input, but I think there are way too many variables here for a one-size-fits-all. I'm pretty sure if booked under no promo code, or a promo code that is always available, the booking can be rebuilt, even under the same invoice/confirmation number. The issue comes in when a promo code is used that isn't currently active. They can still rebuild the booking, but not with the inactive promo code. So even though some might think it's not a cancel/rebook, it probably is, just all done behind the scenes. I cancelled a cruise by accident and immediately tried to get it reinstated, which they were able to do, with the same confirmation number, but my promo code was old and gone, so the pricing was completely different. Noting again, same confirmation number for both.
  18. The first cruise back after covid, I definitely was emotional. There was so much anticipation that led up to it, on embarkation morning, in the port I was on my balcony sobbing lol. I'm not really the "ready to get home" type, but now it's not nearly as bad. We're usually a few cruises booked out these days, so I just start looking forward to the next one.
  19. Interesting idea here, this never crossed my mind before.
  20. I think if you purchase onboard, they might add a sticker.
  21. Just of the Glory a few weeks ago, and I will agree the chat feature was very unreliable. Was great when it worked, but that was maybe about 50% of the time. It got real frustrating because it started off working, and then figured we could rely on it for getting everyone together, but then became very hit or miss, and at times when we had no other way to communicate. We ended up just calling people in their cabin to make plans instead lol. I really wish they would find a way to fix it, because it could be very useful.
  22. I was going to say this lol. I mean, SOMEone had to win, so not sure how much "fixing" could be done. Now the slot machines, lol. Those I think are fixed.
  23. Carnival does anytime dining a lot better than RCI, in my opinion. You just click in the app when you are ready, and get a notification when your table is ready. Usually not much of a wait, but sometimes. But you can see what the wait is before you request the table, so just plan ahead, and you don't have to be there waiting while you wait.
