  1. Thete is a Rome->FLL to get you back to states so no international flight on the back end; you just have to get him from FLL to Houston
  2. No need to print the 2nd boarding pass but do be sure to do the online check in.
  3. Don't you wish you'd been the one to patent that stick? You'd be on a permanent cruise!! Or own the squirrel monkey resort!!
  4. It may count, but it doesn't taste the same and sure doesn't bring the same results 😕
  5. Seems you know that itinerary, lol.🙄 That is so kind - I will keep that in mind as the time gets closer and absolutely let you know if we do lock in our cruises.
  6. Yes, she is - I second that!! @JazzyV we appreciate your attentiveness and thoughtfulness.
  7. Yes, I book the excursions w/CC - HAL does not allow for use of OBC before boarding. Technically, you are canceling the excursions, but YOU aren't doing it yourself - Shore Exc is doing it for you and they'redoing it at the same time as they rebook the OBC purchase. The credit for the canceled excursions shows immediately as OBC in your statement, as does the charge for the new one. I stay at the Shore Exc Desk until I see them both in my Navigator. You can see this for the 6 excursions in this statement from a recent cruise (circled). As for the CC refund, when the excursions are canceled, a credit is NOT issued back to the CC you used to pay for them. It is credited as OBC, which is yours to do with as you please. You can use it for purchaes, spa treatments, dining...you can cash it out or you can leave it on your account and have it credited to a CC upon disembarkation. If credited to a CC, it may or may not be the same one you originally used to purchase the excursions - only you will know that as the credit will be given to the CC you have on file for the cruise. Reminder - we're talking OBC, not HIA excursion credits - those are entirely different.
  8. I do this every cruise, including as recently as Dec 2023 on NS. As I mentioned, it's important you don't cancel to rebook - Shore Exc will do that for you. If you cancel, yes you're potentially subject to fees and possibly loss of the excursion to someone on a waitlist. You will need to have Shore Exc handle the transactions and it needs to be very early in your cruise, such as Embarkation Day. Shore Exc, Spa & Specialty Dining are always my 1sr 3 stops after dropping off my bags. 😏 I hope not, but it's possible the process or policy has changed in last 2 weeks.
  9. If my current cruise schedule holds, I will be there in May, Sept & Oct of this year for Sea roundtrip AK 😊
  10. Yes, once onboard, go to the Shore Excursions Desk - it's usually open shortly after boarding times start - and ask them to move from your CC to OBC. It's important you don't cancel the excursions or try to move them after you've completed them; it needs to be done before you've taken the tours. Also note Guest Services cannot make the adjustment - it has to be done by Shore Exc. You will see a credit to your account for the canceled tours then see a new entry deducting from OBC.
  11. A family in my bus group lived in that area and mentioned they had toured the Missouri a few times while it was there. While nice for them to see again, they also said the Arizona Memorial was the priority on this trip, but appreciated having had an opportunity to see the Missouri before.
  12. Absolutely! Even though the website may state otherwise; the daily charge will be deducted from any non-refundable OBC first then will come from the refundable balance. You can see these amounts at the bottom of yoyr statement on your TV and in the Navigator App.
  13. You can install v4.30.0 using the link below; it is compatible w/Android 10. If it gets wonky, just close it out and reopen. As for your original question, others here have done a great job answering and providing other workarounds. It's also good for submitting service requests and feedback, both of which can also be done at Guest Service. https://www.9apps.com/android-apps/Holland-America-Line-Navigator/version-history-1/
  14. Did not get their names, but the ones performing on K'dam this Christmas->New Years were not better. Especially the female - she was beyond hard to listen to.
  15. Sign from Universe it's time to cruise!! 😉
  16. Welcome to HAL - I hope you enjoy your time on the Rotterdam. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  17. Yes, there is one. I don't remember the manufacturer name, but it does not take a uniform pod; it has a proprietary pod. I feel certain someone on here will know the name.
  18. Being all new cruisers, so assume traveler #1 has no more pricing perks than the other 2, the price to switch names is a minimal investment vs refares, insurance claims, etc and creates less hassle. W/o a name change assuming she decides not to go, No Show is a better option than canceling. Canceling (insurance or not) will result in a refare, No Showing will not. @Buckett sorry to hear of her injury; hope surgery goes well and she heals quickly.
  19. @Chris-n-Shawn Pearl Harbor was THE must do stop for me on this cruise, so I decided to do the excursion through the ship hoping for the best experience. Surely they would use only vetted, reliable guides and put their "power in numbers" to work for the masses. Based on comments we heard, that worked for some people, but not our bus. Well, at least not for all but 4 on our bus. Polynesian Adventures is the company HAL used, "Kama" was the guide. The tour was sold out; our bus was not the only one that went, so many others had an opportunity for an experience that we did not. We were 20 min late leaving the ship as we waited on 4 late passengers that did not show. Unfortunately, that 20 min was not the only delay. Tour guide immediately set the ground rules of "tight schedule, you have to be on time" which he himself had already broken and later would not honor. We waited 25 min after touring the Missouri for passengers which did eventually show. So now we were 45 min off schedule. This 45 min was completely the fault of the tour operator. Before and after Kama handed out tickets, he told us we had to "run to the standy line" if we wanted any chance of making it to the Memorial. He knew we would not make it - his time for us to leave was 1:45 to get back to the ship by 2. It is 45 min roundtrip for The Memorial shuttle & tour; it does not run between 12 and 1 (closed for lunch). He stressed that if we were on the 12:45 shuttle, we would not make his 1:45 deadline, meaning we had to be on one prior to 12:45. So, w/o a schedule change, we were iffy after the 20 min delay and assured of missing it after the 25 min delay. All tour tickets have a disclaimer that Operators reserve the right to change the order of stops. Had ours done that and taken us to the Memorial 1st, we would have made it. Making the experience even worse, we waited 30 min past his 1:45 deadline for 4 passengers who, you guessed it, went to the Memorial. An entire bus missed something that they may not have an opportunity to revisit and, sadly, did not have to be missed. So, for you, I would recommend not using this tour company independently or through the ship. And regardless of the excursion you do select, go to the website and secure your own reserved time so you have a slot. We didn't know you could get reserved tickets and use them with the ship tour - you can and should. As you mention you're going through the ship, you might consider calling Shore Exc to see if they are using this Tour Operator. If so, let them know you do NOT want that guide. I'm sure they can't arrange that in advance (you'llbe on record should somethingunfortunatelygo wrong), so I would strongly advise you ask when you're at the pier lining up and as you're assigned your bus - the guides are there - be sure you are put w/a different guide. Also, go to the Memorial 1st then the Missouri. At the Memorial, there are 3 lines - left is the film, center reserved time tickets, right is stand-by. I hope you have a wonderful cruise and are able to do everything you plan. I would love to hear about your adventure and see any pictures you'd like to share. 😊
