Quick review: 2 weeks on QE in the med, in a Q2 Suite
techteach replied to s.s.France's topic in Cunard Line
@david63 I’m wondering along with @NE John about how the tax is applied for the Drinks Package. @rakkor did you do a drinks package on your recent Med cruise? -
We did the Empress Tea many years ago and it was very good. Not sure I’d pay for it now. I didn’t mention it since we’re on Cunard and there’s tea almost every day on QE.

@NE John Grandson and I did the Bear Fortress excursion in Sitka and really enjoyed it. Folks who walked around town expressed a little unhappiness. Victoria is a hard one because it isn’t a short walk into town. Hopefully Cunard has a shuttle you can hop on. It’s a pretty city and it you like flowers Butchart Gardens is beautiful. Sounds like you’ve got the other ports covered! Are you flying direct to Vancouver or going through Seattle?

I would go to London before Christmas every year if I could and then take the TA that departs on the 15th of December back to the states. We ordered baskets from F&M for Christmas delivery as presents and it was SO much fun to watch people open them. The windows on Oxford and all of the lights hanging across the streets, the people bicycle Santas across from Saint Martin’s in the Fields. Tea at Claridges and watching football in a pub. Asking my DH now, “When can we go back?”

YIKES! That is a really bad shade of green.

Cunard Cruisers - How are things where you are ?

@D&N Tears in my eyes for both of you. I hope Ursel handles it as best as possible. -
The library on QV is one of the things I’m most looking forward to seeing. The pictures are beautiful, more beautiful I think than QM2. I don’t know about other library on other Carnival brands, but the Regatta had a well stocked and beautiful library. Darn, the pic. Is on my phone…

@NE John I was so glad to read you booked Alaska, but disappointed in your date since we won’t be able to cruise together down to San Fran. What is the cruise number so I can see where you’ll be going? -

Wow! You’re getting frost and snow already? Get out your sweaters, err jumpers, and put another blanket on the bed and stay warm. Grandson #2 arrived in boots yesterday as rain is in the forecast. Time for popcorn, hot chocolate, a throw blanket and a good movie. Everyone have a good week. -

I finished reading the thread from @jam19872016 and hopped over to Crystal to read the thread from @rafinmd. They are such a contrast in style. Both are great! -
@rafinmd It has been a joy to follow you in your travels. I’m so glad you were able to make all of this work for you. Take Care Of Yourself! That’s not shouting, just emphasizing. I look forward to your next journey. Susan

@Host Hattie Thanks very much for the link. It’s a great read. -
@jam19872016 Hello from another Cunarder! It has taken several cups of coffee to read your wonderful postings. We’re doing this cruise in June of 2025 and I really appreciated your posts re. Barcelona. As @NE John pointed out, we are generally a pretty nice group, just avoid the conversations around dress. Now that a link has been provided, thank you @Host Hattie, you’ll probably see more people joining you on your adventures. Thanks again!
