Yep,it was posted maybe a month ago or more.( This is the Thread Title-What is Princess Package Department?) pretty similar conversation. It might be “ real”, but I would not take the call. I will only speak on the phone with businesses that I initiate the call for something like that.

If you have not already booked your cruise I would get a hold of your travel agent and or Princess to confirm. This is what’s on the frequently asked questions of Princess : Princess-Guests under the age of 21 need to travel in a stateroom with a guest 21 years or older who will assume responsibility for them during the cruise. For family groups booking multiple staterooms, the minimum age for each guest is 16, provided they are traveling with a parent or legal guardian. Unfortunately we are unable to accept group reservations for student or youth groups that do not meet our minimum age requirements.

glittergirl1- You May speak to someone onboard that you want to order ahead,but that limits you ,if you change your mind on venues. Examle: dinner in the dining room. Between appetizers and main course there is usually about five items that you can choose from . Of course you can always ask for any vegetable of your choosing or more of something to make it an entree size. In the dining room for breakfast, lunch, & dinner there is a V next to everything that’s vegetarian and a GF for gluten-free items . Lots of people post dining room menus ,usually on their Live from posts on cruise critic. In the buffet you can pretty much figure it out ,but if you have concerns you can enlist one of the chefs and they’ll point out things for you. They usually do this more for people with allergies, but “they “ will figure out vegetarian options for you. If you booked with a travel agent or if you can sign into the app ,I do believe you can mention it in the special dietary and note it there and they will help you out ,once you’re on board .

I think the prices at the international café are very reasonable for coffee drinks compared to land based coffee shops . Of course there is the “free coffee “ in the dining room and or buffet. Sometimes I don’t want to go to ic first and then to d.r.,too many stops,so .... but .D.R. Does have specialty coffees on the menu.

Darn, about Maui. I think it is frequently missed. Too much wind/swells? I believe a friend of mine missed it at the end of January ,same ship

When you say the first and second place people did not show up ,I’m assuming you mean to the captains circle party. Sometimes / almost always there’s more than one captains circle party, so maybe if they weren’t at yours ,they were at another one ?

My mom is currently on the Emerald and she said that the current soap/lotion is not to her liking at all. Pretty sure she brings her own lotion & shampoo with her. so I think it’s pretty much the liquid hand soap . I believe their cabin steward wrangled up some of the old sent for the soap or found them a bar of soap.

Yes brought the vase on board ,it was plastic . Put the vase & the flowers in the little plastic wrap that they came in ,put paper towel around them ( flowers)that was wet & put them in a tote bag and on board they went

Great airport. Fly in and out of there often for visiting family and cruising.

Just ask your cabin steward or stewardess for a paper copy of the Patter and if everybody in the room wants their own you can ask for that as well. I don’t believe that has changed. But if you don’t want a paper copy you just tell them or like a few you said just note it on the app .

@travelin.sisters I love your packing style. My mom and her husband are winging their way from Cali right now to Fort Lauderdale to join the Emerald Princess and to hear of her packing and unpacking and then this morning she couldn’t find her breakfast that she had packed ,she put it in the overhead in the plane ,but it was found. Now I know why they go a couple days early ,because she’ll have to repack again , maybe even go shopping for something that she forgot or can’t find. Love your style of writing ,I’ll be following along . I’m loving arm chair cruising at the moment.

Any information on why getting off in Ensenada has been canceled? Is it the storm/weather that’s going to be coming? Well you definitely wouldn’t want to leave any onboard credit in your account unless it’s refundable and even then I’ve been reading people have been having difficulty receiving it. How about a picture of you and special someone if you took any,how about going shopping for something in the stores or can you use that money at the casino? Have no idea I don’t really gamble .

@jinpasco Totally agree about the “free “Internet minutes on Princess in the past. I remember the first time my husband became platinum (we were not on the same level of cruising with Princess) and the Internet was down pretty much the whole cruise he was so looking forward to doing stuff on the Internet while cruising , but it just didn’t happen. And guest services and or the Internet manager would not do anything to compensate because they were free so .... Even if you buy a package or Internet while cruising no guarantees that it will work either as I’ve come to understand. But yes free while it lasted was good

Expect layers and anything and everything. Rain wear,coat,windbreaker. Shorts and pants,long sleeve & short. Of course check weather sites before going. Also depends on what shore excursions you plan on doing and how active they are. Example-if your excursions are on a bus all day you won’t need as many layers etc. And if you’re going to be outdoors all day then different story . What to expect: if you visit Arizona specifically the Phoenix area in the summer months expect hot weather. But Alaska weather in my opinion can be anything , I have been to Alaska twice ,once in July and once at the end of August and they were very different weather wise.

As Elite -free internet is not a perk for a little while now,but you can get 1 device plan and get a discount. 2+ people can use the internet,but just not at the same time. 1 person can use the internet on one device at a time and switch i.e. between iPad and I phone. So there are options out there. Well it would be great to know your answer about going to Guest services, but wouldn’t that require guest services to actually log into a computer with your confirmation number, check you in ,and then print your boarding pass? Or you just want the boarding pass printed out? I would think one would inquire at the Internet desk when it’s “manned “ I just can’t imagine guest services/ pursers doing this for passengers ,they’re busy enough at that desk trying to solve other problems ,but I could be totally wrong. Hopefully someone answers you with firsthand knowledge.

Agree about taking away “free “internet/ WiFi minutes,but Platinum and Elite do get a discount. They don’t use minutes any longer so Princess cant offer a 90 minute package. Perhaps you can still get a “package “ for 1 day if you want internet??

Yes I know that they have used those berths within the past year ,but not very often. I think, I meant more permanently .maybe that’s why they’re doing the infrastructure work?? I guess time will tell, my family lives in California so they keep me updated .
