  1. To op/ author: Princess Cruise-Passengers under the age of 21 years must travel in a stateroom with a Passenger 21 years or older who shall assume responsibility for their care during the cruise. For family groups booking multiple staterooms, the minimum age for each stateroom is 16 years of age, provided they are traveling with a parent or legal guardian. We are unable to accept group reservations for student or youth groups that do not conform to our minimum age requirements. Each passenger agrees and warrants that he/she will supervise any passenger in his/her care at all times to ensure all policies, along with all other rules of the Carrier and ship, are strictly adhered to by all Passengers under their supervision. I think you would have to book two cabins -one adult and one child in each cabin ( probably?? You can switch sleeping arrangements and cabins when you get on board) ,but for the packages I don’t think you can book any other way .If you want plus package you would have to do it for both people in the cabin -the one adult and one child and the child would get soda package and the adult would get alcohol package. So you would pay for all 4 of you because that’s how you book the cabin. How about just a standard package and then add what you want , i.e. wi fi,drinks as you go?? You ( all of you)would need to have lots of sea days and consume a large amount of soda & alcohol to make plus worth the package, in my opinion. Only you can figure that out. Someone else chime in if different than this
  2. Yes, I definitely remember that in San Pedro ,you could go aboard have a little party and then you had to be off by a certain time and then you could throw streamers from the terminal area to the ship .
  3. All dining is anytime, now called dine my way. Anytime the dining rooms are open you may just show up or you can make a reservation.
  4. To the op or any other cruiser that wants to park in the San Pedro world cruise terminal parking lot. The lot is humongous ,obviously depending on what ship you’re taking there is parking near each of the embarkation areas. Maybe not handicapped parking as you said there’s limited amount of those .How about having the person with the scooter dropped off with the checked luggage and the other person goes and parks the car ?is that doable so you can take more cruises out of San Pedro ? We usually drop off all the luggage with the porters swing back around and park the car ,seems easy for us,but we do not have mobility issues.
  5. Thanks, that’s why no one knows the real answer yet. So May 7th Sky roll call ,please check out Vines ( open, closed, moved, gone)for all the inquiring minds.
  6. I don’t believe anybody that’s currently on board has reported yes or no. I believe April 15th there was a 4 night Belgium and the Netherlands sampler cruise that happened. Current position shows it’s in Rotterdam,Netherlands right now. So maybe somebody will post live from the Sky or see this and answer ? Or is it in dry dock? I have no idea what the current cruise schedule is . so May 7th cruise, maybe a Live from?
  7. I guess the topic drastically changed. From Vines to photos.
  8. Don’t believe the press release has addressed much about the Sky princess other than that catch by Rudi is coming to the Sky on May 7 th. Right now on sky princess deck 5 is Vines and on deck 7 is the bistro sur la mer which is probably going to be the catch by Rudi??. I guess time will tell ,need to hear from somebody actually on the Sky for most of the speculation. The current press release pretty much is about the Enchanted Princess-catch by Rudi’s is going to replace bistro sur la mer- it’s going to be located across from guest services on deck 5 and Sabatini‘s is going to move to deck 7 where the bistro was previously located . On Enchanted Princess April 15th -O’Malley‘s Irish pub is going to be located on deck 5 where the salty dog Gastro pub was; not to be confused with Lido deck salty dog Grill which is going to become the salty dog Café menu .( you would think that they would be able to come up with some other names for these things and not confuse us ) Press release pretty much just says that catch by Rudi is coming soon to Majestic on May 5th, sky on May 7, and discovery fall of 2023. Not much has been said that I could see about the Sky & Vines. This is what I understood from the press release. Didn’t really say too much about the Sky Princess, hopefully somebody will post soon from the Sky where in the world is Vines!
  9. Perhaps give more details here. If cruise critic members knew what you were looking for in the description ,perhaps somebody has taken that tour and can answer your question .
  10. If you’re asking me for this information I have no idea .you’d have to look it up. As I said my family lives in Southern California and they don’t go from the airport to the port. There are many transportation modes from the airport to the port and vice versa.Taxi, Uber/Lyft ,princess transfer option . Some of them are dependent on time of day ,so hope you have time to do your research. No one person can answer on price, not all situations will fit everyone ,so if I mention a price that will make no difference when you go to book your transportation. Prices fluctuate .
  11. OK my mom lives locally in Southern California and goes to port ( San Pedro)sometimes and definitely LAX with - executive car service which is curbside at the airport coming and going and they pick up or drop off from your house or business as well. They ( my mom) go through prime time to reach them .I don’t have a phone number ,but primetimeshuttle.com is what they use and there’s several choices of vehicles to choose from .( i.e. sedan or shared van, etc) They have not taken shared,so no experience with that. There is also executivecarservicelax.com I do not know anything about this but I ran across it . I personally like Lyft to and from the airport . I have used it in many cities and minimal problems compared to the shuttles that I see the reviews about. I know some people don’t want to use Lyft or Uber, but honestly they have never failed to pick me up or not gotten me to where I’m going on time. I think people that are hesitant just need to try it for a very short trip somewhere and see what their experience is and then baby steps -graduate to getting to the port or an airport.
  12. Well once I get the information from my mom with a phone number or a web address,I will post for everyone. @mtnesterzBut if you’re going to the port from your home in LA area ,why don’t you just drive and park ?would be much more convenient and the price virtually similar? Sorry I misunderstood thought you were flying into LAX and going to the port, but perhaps that was the author @lion1956 of this post that I was responding to?
  13. I have not used Karmel. I have used Lyft from LAX to the port, but I usually fly into LGB. sorry you are not interested in Lyft or Uber, unfortunately that’s the easiest in my opinion or of course there are still taxis( i.e. think yellow) around . ill check a company that my mom uses to get to LAX airport when they fly as they live locally. I know they use a car service .
  14. You could take Uber,Lyft, or a taxi. I believe you have to take a shuttle to get to the area to pick these up (LAX-it) Not sure if there are still rideshare shuttle vans?? ( Prime Time & Super shuttle) Might be called Karmel now? Of course Princess offers a transfer bus as well .($) Might want to look for your questions and or answer under the departure forum for cruise critic as well .
  15. @Honolulu Blue nice review of your cruise. love DSB and Wanted. We see them on land every time they come to a casino in Arizona. Have been seeing them for many many years. Nice they were on Princess.
  16. I only know that Flowers could not be delivered to the ship and or state room because they were turned away when it happened to me. My family lives in Southern California so when I cruise we always go to the store and buy some flowers so that we can have them for the week in our cabin. Just makes it very cheery and very easy to do. I’ve never done it when we cruise out of Florida, we never have enough time to purchase the flowers and no transportation ,it would just be too much of a bother. We have also ordered the flowers on board ,very nice arrangement as well .
  17. Yes,you can bring fresh flowers onboard. I have many times in San Pedro,CA. You can not take flowers off the ship. You can not have a flower shop deliver to the ship either,we’ll unless you meet the flower delivery person off the ship.
  18. I say just ask them at Vines, problem solved. But with that in mind ,I order a glass of wine/cocktail,etc. all over the ship and I take the glass with me and I always set it down at a bar when I’m finished .I don’t leave it by the trashcan or in a hallway etc. I think you’ll have as many answers as you will opinions. I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer on this . I don’t think any bar on the ship expects you to drink it right there and return the glass to them . Perhaps the only place would be around the pool, probably they want plastic .
  19. Yes,you may. Here’s two of my bouquets. Brought plastic vase.
  20. Some passengers post The newsletter/Patter/ event schedule. Maybe you could see before you cruise a Live from the Sky? just curious why? I have seen breakfast hours in dining room vary on sea days and port days.
  21. For those talking about the medallion being mailed. I thought if you lived in the USA they are mailed for free unless you want an accessory??
  22. Yes on The new Sun Princess , but Only in SO (sky suites)rooms. Which I believe there’s only four of them and one is a handicap room. Although I did vaguely hear there are six SO category rooms but I only see four on the deck plan. So there’s a very small percentage of Nespresso machines and those suites have a dedicated lounge and they can probably get any coffee they want ,so they’ll probably have no need for a machine in their room ,but who knows?
  23. OP wanted to know what to do. As others have said you didn’t pay any money and didn’t give a credit card ,so it should go away. But for the OP and everybody else the solution is to quit answering and giving vacation and personal information to somebody you don’t know ,that would probably be what to do. And then these companies that are cold calling you wouldn’t have a business. I would never give anybody calling me on my home phone or my cell phone any information of dates of when I want to go on vacation. If I want go on vacation I know exactly what to do and it certainly won’t be by answering a phone call from somebody I don’t know. So this will continue as long as all of you are answering the phone and talking to these people!! Dont trust anyone
  24. @Amandainsweden yes of course you can book 4 people in an inside cabin. More than likely two beds will lower down from the wall and the size of those are twins and the beds that are on the floor/ground -those will probably be two twin beds and maybe they can be pushed together, Time will tell on that. for all the rest of you -she pretty much said that she wants to book one cabin and it’s going to be on the Panama Canal cruise, and she wants the cheapest cabin for 4 people. So for all those people that say Book a balcony, book two rooms ,it’s not your money. of course helpful suggestions is what this forum should be all about. But so far we don’t know if the OP wants to split up her family and get 2 cabins, we don’t know how old the children are, etc. etc. so… I’m pretty sure the OP was asking about the one twin bed situation when trying to book .I think she was trying to figure out how one twin bed in a room could hold four people?? and of course a good travel agent could answer all these questions that the OP has but sometimes you just get online and start booking and then you have questions and so you go to cruise critic And maybe she got busy and forgot all about that she posted this information on Cruise critic ,who knows? seems like she just wanted tips on how to book 4 people in one cabin( inside only) for the least amount of $.
  25. @corncat enjoying your Live. Hope you are enjoying this week better than last
